First class of the year. And it showed. On the board this was writen: Duel Monsters Class Dr. Jame Grant Review Jame knew the statistics. Students lost a lot of knowledge during break, so he'd be covering some of the basics of card workings. As well as introducing himself to the students and getting a brief introduction from them. He found that it worked wonders in a class environment. Many of his education classes and experiences had introduced him to that. The room itself had a few notable decorations and objects in it. The first was a smart board. On the ceiling pointed at the smart board was a projector of some sort. On Jame's desk there was a contraption with two lamps extending from it and pointed down at the base of the contraption. The lights also read what was on the base and whatever was on it was projected by the projector. Beside the smart board was a movable dry erase board which Jame planned on using to help in his teaching. Most importantly for moving in front of the smart board so he could point to certain aspects of whatever he was projecting. Another thing he knew from experience was that it was a pain to clean Smart Boards. Near the door was a table with papers on it. Standing by the papers was a sign saying "Take one." Jame was placing five cards on the projector while waiting for the students to show up. The projector was off, so what he was placing wasn't appearing on the smart board.

Ethan, being punctual as ever to class, was the first one in. So this was what this class was gonna be, eh? Hey, it coulda been worse. Ethan goes and grabs one of the sheets of paper before taking a seat in the second row, waiting for class to start.

Robert, not being one to care about being first to class, but was excited to get into the one class he signed up for. He had rushed to class, but being careful as not to disrupt the paths of others. As Robert arrived to class, he swept up a piece of paper and took a seat. He noticed that he was second to class. Even though this is what he'd consider a meaningless detail, the boy who was the first to enter was an Obelisk Blue. He put the paper in his area and was ready for class.

He was not first, not second, heck probably he was last to reach the class, but he did not know that for sure. He just walked into class with his eyes going everywhere, and then resting back to their usual neutral spot, gazing towards his arms which embraced his prepared notebook as well as his textbook in arm. It was his usual reaction taking in the account that he was not a very outgoing person. Anyone would about his shy demeanor within standing in front of him for a good minute and would learn about his withdrawn self if they would try to hold a conversation only to take notice to him trying to break away from his anxiousness.
His head tilting to the right and some of his hair that had stopped at his shoulders flowing under his neck from the gesture, he had searched to his left with a slide of his eyes wanting a seat at a far place where he thought he would be least noticed by the students. He did not plan on sitting the back seeing that would be too bothersome when trying to write notes from that far perspective, or perhaps the teacher being near inaudible considering the size of the class, nor would he sit too far in the front where he would get a good portion of the class’s attention. To sit at the farthest wall where no one but the wall was there would be more comforting than another student.
Sitting at the closest to the center set of seats and going to the far left, he had sat down convinced that this was indeed the seat for him. His eyes had missed the papers that were to be taken the moment he sat down, mostly because of his mind going off from his usual nervous mood. He swept for details missing some of the most important ones. Oblivious of the happening, his eyes went to the white board in the room as he had read it carefully mindful of the name as well as the lesson assignment.
A review seemed to be in session, something that was not really necessary for Xenneth considering he spent most of his school days reading material every since he gotten to the school. He had past his free time reading material and working on jump start assignments instead of taking the time to know much of any students. It was of course the school life in most places, so it was not big deal to him. He was just invisible to some people, and the others, he was noticed for a moment just to be some target in someone’s plot, whether it be flirtatious mistakes considering he was mistaken for the opposite sex, or that being he was simply a momentary end of someone’s joke if they were fortunate enough to do notice the figure had an atom’s apple.
That aside, he had a task in mind at this moment: to finish his lesson here and then perhaps go make a quick review in his room and prepare himself for another infirmary duty. Even though this seemed like a burdened student job and school task to anyone, it was very much a way to free Xenneth’s mind. A workaholic at heart, he would rather not bother with too much of the campus considering he still did not know students that well around the campus, their intentions and their attitudes towards this place. So far, it seemed like any other school at he thought so many times, except with lessons about Duel Monsters and then there was that occasional “voice” that started to pester him more.
It seemed like life was just mundane like that, his eyes showing some hint of boredom he was quiet even though he did not realize his own dislike with where he stood, it was the reality of things. As depressing as it was, even these emotions were beyond Xenneth’s knowledge.
Sitting there, he just picked up a lead pencil readying himself to began writing, to continue his repetitive mundane days.

Matt walked into class quietly, not really paying attention to anyone in the room. It was obvious his mind was somewhere other than the classroom he had just entered. In fact, his mind was on the upcoming Friday. He was going out with Recita, and he wasn't about to miss that. The main problem was if he would be able to get off of the island or not in time for it. He had sort of rushed the time. The fact he had set the time to noon on a Friday meant he was going to be missing most or all of his classes that day, and it's not like he could say he was sick. Vahn would catch on to that one too fast. He could always just 'accidentally' miss the ferry back to the island on Thursday due to work. That sounded good. He'd have enough money to rent a small hotel room for the night and still have plenty for the lunch, or dinner if they decided to wait until dinner time to eat.
Sometime during these thoughts, he had picked up a piece of paper and found his seat in the second row, next to a window. He had also placed his bag next to him and began looking out said window. If anything or anyone was doing something to get his attention, he was too lost in thought to notice. Between his date with Recita and work, he had more than enough to keep his mind busy until class started.

Rika walked in, grabbed the papers she was supposed too, and sat down in the middle-ish area. She had managed to be on time AND had even gotten lost, truly a miracle. She looked around at the few students in there, how early was she? Oh well, she pulled out a book and started to read, wondering what pain this class was gonna bring, to her mind anways, and maybe her selfesteem.

The Secrets to life began with one movement and one movement only...... A Step Forward. Duel Monsters Class.
One of the few classes that actually sparked an interest for Marvelo. He walked into the class looking a little sluggish. In appropriate school uniform, Marvelo took his presence with a strong stand. Violet eyes gazed around the classroom looking around for familiar faces. Only two sprung out, both of which a relationship wasn't really known. Even more ironic was the fact that they were both apart of his own house. Marvelo took forward moment into the class, being sure to grab one of the sheets of paper.
His eyes scanned the paper as he continued to walk forward. Turning down one of the aisles, he came towards Ethan and took a seat. Laying the paper down he finished reading it before officially turning over to Ethan.
"Good to see ya again," Marvelo stated.

Richard walked down the hall with a bit of confidence in his step, he was more familiar with the lay-out of the school and was able to know where his next class would be. Richard looked down at his watch for the time and smiled knowing full well he had plenty of time to get there. Sure enough he walked into the Duel Monsters classroom with plenty of time to spare. As he looked around the room he noticed there wasn't that many students in yet. Richard walked up to the professor's desk being drawn there to the sing beckoning him to Take One. He grabbed the correct papers and before attempting to go to the back of the room he made a quick detour to the professor who was working on the the projector and made a quick bow.
"Morning Sir."
After recovering from his bow he turned and headed straight to the rear of the classroom.

Issy wandered into the class, praying she had managed to find the correct place to go, a previous series of mis-adventures, and ending up in all sorts of places. She really needed to find some sort of map, something she could use to work her way around the building, aside from her own luck, which she seemed to be pushing quite a lot, simply in trying to be able to get to every class on time – so far it was two out of two, which to her was extremely lucky.
Once in the door, she looked around in an almost startled silence, what now, find a seat? Yes, get a seat quickly. In a rather random manner she walked to a seat, which happened to be roughly in the middle, on the far side from the door. Now all she needed to do was wait until the class started.
In the mean time she looked around, there where several students arrived already, and far more interesting a fly buzzing around the light. That was to her at least far more interesting than anything else she could come across, after all she wanted to see where it ended up.

It was getting a bit crowded now, but it was a classroom so what was one to expect? Xenneth had simply tried to keep his attention all to himself. Meeting people was not very comforting for him seeing he was so anti-social that he had lost the basics of conversation other than the standard “hello.” He needed to get his eyes on something that would idle his time and help him calm down. Thinking about the lesson would only make it so that he was focusing on the class; the class with a lot of people that seemed to increase by the moment as he sat there. Letting his eyes wonder, he didn’t think he’d find anything else of standard interest other than the walls, a window, his books, and… Holy Hell! Gosh o’golly! There was a fly! Well, that was not interesting to him, but looking around, it seemed to be in one student in particular. Since he had looked at one student, he took the initiative to look at the rest seeing the skinny boy come into the room addressing the other who was wearing the same colored Blue Uniform. It would figure since they were in the same dorm that they would be familiar. There was also another who had addressed the teacher formally as the passed through the front of the room. Where the Obelisk Blue students always so studious or was it simply to keep up appearances since they were regarded as “elite” duelists of the school? Xenneth would not know, for one thing, he himself had already witnessed the dark side of people to the point where he didn’t believe what he saw. First glances were nonsense… Even though that one young woman behind him sat there staring to a single fly that circled at the light, she was probably smarter than him, even though that one boy at the front room was so courteous enough to introduce himself he could possibly be a suck up and a jerk to everyone, and those two students that were familiar with each other could possibly be bullies or something. They were all ugly thoughts, all giving him dark feelings that only fueled his uneasy paranoia, but turning away, he made it all vanish with a deep breath and a convincing lecture from his own mind that he heard so many times. The only way he was to know things for sure was to take sure action and make sure observations. That method of science applying to almost being a Medicine Doctor, or even a Nurse being his sub category, but Xenneth was not so outgoing to make friends to benefit his life more than he would benefit a stranger. It was a strange thing, to care about a complete stranger more than one’s own self, but he thought it was way better than catering to his desires which always lead to disappointment. There was an analogy to this relative to making the God’s laugh in America at one time that he heard which only made him slightly more depressed in his childish reality back then. Turning around and staring down at his text book pretending to be able to have the focused mind to read the text, he would only wonder… Those days, the ones were he smiled, he wondered why they had left him with the sad ones.[/blockquote]

Louis walked into the class and looked around. He spotted to familiar faces, Issy and Robert and several faces he thought might have gone to his other classes. He picked up paper and sat down content to wait for the class to begin. As he sat down he fingered the broken fragment of the tablet in his pocket and then took out his journal. Things were happening that would put the story of the Holy Grail to shame. Events that would be entombed forever in human history and be spoken about with awe by future generations.
But first school had to be dealt with.

Jame finished with the projector and greeted the students that greeted him. After finishing with that, he took note of the students that hadn't grabbed a sheet. Taking spares from his desk he placed them on the desks of those that forgot them.
"Alrighty then," he said, saying that in English. Returning to Japanese he continued and said, "since we are still waiting for some other students to arrive, how about those of us that are here introduce ourselves. This is optional of course."
Jame then stopped at the front of the room by his desk and continued. "I'll start. I'm Jame Grant. You may call me what you wish. I studied at Cleveland State University for my education degree and Florida Atlantic University for Psychology degree." He then waved at the board behind him. "So just to clear up that I'm not a doctor of dueling or something like that." Jame had heard of doctors in dueling. In his opinion it was ludicrous.
"If you wish to incluce dueling style, you can," he said instructing them on how they can give their introductions. "I use many decks, but I am very partial to Gadgets, Jesters, and Toons."
Jame would wait a few more minutes for any stray students to arrive if they did. Then class would truly begin.

Robert, more than happy to step up and introduce himself replied in fluent Japanese "I am Robert Zanrou. I am from London, England. I have used many decks in the past, but one of my favorites are the Gladial Beasts. And a fun fact, I actually overworked myself into the hospital at some point." he replied with a chuckle. This was the one class he managed to sign up for in time. After class, he planned to speak to the headmistress about more classes.

DJ shuffled into class, happy that he didn't seem to be too late or too early this time as he had been in his other classes. He took a piece of paper from the table before setting his books on a nearby desk, sitting down quietly, not paying much attention to where he was in relation to other people. He was still clueless what to expect from this class. This was the only male teacher he had so far, but also seemed to be not as liberal as Ms. Haruna and less formal than his Professor Morrison.
He looked around boredly, waiting for class to start, he looked over the paper and his books lightly, making sure everything was in place so he wasn't just doing nothing until the teacher decided to start class. But he recognized some people, that must be an improvement on his social awareness, that was something if nothing else.

The teacher was very much foreign, or at leas that’s what Xenneth had thought upon first seeing his name on the board, and the locations mentioned only proved it. Almost virtually ignoring the next set of students that came in, he had opened his notebook seeing that class had officially “begun” or so he thought as the teacher made haste on the introduction. Xenneth was curious about where he came from, but not that curious. He had only stood by as he watched the students begin to give their introduction. With not that many people around as well as the first young man who was Ra Yellow giving his sound introduction, the shy boy had took it upon himself to follow up with his own introduction seeing it would be more shy of him later.
He stood up slowly, his going to his desk even though he should’ve properly made contact. This however was not an “unusual” thing for the Ra Yellow student.
“Umm…m-my name is Xenneth. My deck…focuses around Nurse Reficule.”
He had simply said that, sitting down as he let his arms rest upon the desk. To him, his deck type had no proper name. There was no intention of “burn” or “attacking” to end the duel. He just dueled with Nurse Reficule being his partner and nothing more since the deck always focused on her getting onto the field and trying to decrease their life points without attacking. He had an intolerance for violence, even if it was in a duel, and that’s why he preferred a peaceful method to end things.
It was how things were, it was how they always been and his best opponent respected that. If only she was not dead.
…all depressing thoughts aside and trying to remember to find his resolve in dueling, he decided to let his mind drift by prepping his materials for class seeing that at any moment, he would jot down notes like crazy just like in Medical Class, but then again, Xenneth did not know if that’s how things worked similarly in this type of class.
OOC Notes: Chatty: Short but sweet. I'm a little tired.
