Entering Masami Maeda's dorm is like entering a spaceship. The room is usually dark and colorful, because of the different color screens that she put over the light sources. Records, posters, and vinyls decorate the walls, as well as a number of television screens and computer monitors that line the wall space. Compared to the typical dorm room, Masami's room is completely rearranged, with a layout that maximizes the wall space and creates a personalized nook for her to park her desk and laptop. In one corner of the room, an impressive speaker system sits next to an array of musical instruments along with a wooden musical stand. In another, an artist's easel stands next to the window, with a number of sketchbooks located nearby. Her bed is raised to the level of a top bunk, specifically so she can put her sideways desk underneath it in the additional floorspace.

Matt's side is a typical Obelisk Blue dorm: luxurious with fancy furniture and appliances. The only thing setting this dorm apart from other dorms is a ton of posters and a massive amount of cards piling around a desk in the corner. Ethan's side of the dorm isn't that different from Matt's, cards (both duel monster cards and regular playing cards) all over the place with a path cut through in order to get to his bed. There's also various gambling props, such as a case of poker chips, a roulette wheel, and a felt craps table, with a small laptop sitting on the desk.

If there is one thing to be said about David, it's that he likes to keep things simple when at all possible. This is also true of his Dorm Room. The walls have been painted with a soothing navy blue and are relatively bare except for a few small shelves and movie/gaming posters that are spaced around the room. The bed (which looks like it hasn't been made in weeks) is fairly modest in size and is covered with a large quilt knitted with blue, purple, and white patches of dark shades. A small desk equipped with a laptop and all of the usual fineries sits sits off to one side near the window overlooking the ocean. Other than that, the only other notable piece is a large bookcase that nearly occupies the entire space of a wall. It is filled with all sorts of books that range from duel theories, ancient and modern history, and even a few that are written about more mystical subjects like mythology, the study of druidry, and the uses of rune stones. However, there is also fine layer of dust covering them that suggest they haven't been looked at in quite a while.

Her dorm is pretty plain. In fact, it's just a normal dorm. There's nothing special about it as Airi doesn't have many material possessions. That's just simply how it is. Dorming together with Airi Matsuoka, Cirno has adorned her side of the room with lots of Winter-related items. From snow globes on the drawers to snowflakes hanging from strings on the ceiling. Apparently, she loves the winter and has left the walls of her side of the room white (or changed them accordingly). She also has Ice Pokemon figures on her nightstand. Needless to say, her decorative sense is odd, but innocent.

Evan's slice of the room is really no different. As a matter of fact, David's stuff could be consider to dominate the room. This is because Evan chose to rest by the window. This allows him to climb into bed from the window, and to climb outside after waking up. His bed had lockable drawers on its frame. This is where he keeps his clothing, books, games and laptop. He had also installed a board that can be lifted out to be used as a desk. This allows him to use his laptop freely. Basically the bed is his section of the room. He chose it to be this way because it was all he really needed. His book bag is slung over the post, which contains his class books, his decks and his duel disk.

Contrast to other obelisk dorms, one room remained unadorned with frivolous objects. Mesmere is known to stay within this dorm that contains only essentials for living, in terms of noble living in this case. A queen sized bed with navy blue sheets to accommodate rank color and a work desk masking hidden locked drawers are the only pieces of furniture of importance. Clothes on average are scattered around the room. The few appliances found are most lavish in use and appearance. Upon the knob of the doorway, a hanging note visible to the outside of the space known as the dorm holds the quote, "Do not disturb"
