She stared into his eyes for quite a while longer then necessary as she grasped the arm of the glasses. He had such deep green eyes... when they weren't red they were actually quite nice. She bowed her head with a deep blush and then put on the sunglasses. A quiet smile went over her face as she leaned towards him with her head turned to the side to whisper into his ear.
"Arigatou, Will-kun." She said cutely and she leaned back to continue her work.

Louis looked as Mizuki walked into the room, remembering her as the girl he had talked to in the shadow class. He noted her interaction with the other student, and then in his mind he burst out laughing, with only a grin appearing on his face. She was acting like a silly schoolgirl with a crush. A small chuckle escaped his lips but it was only loud enough for him to hear. He continued to study some of his notes and wrought something in his notebook.

I will begin posting the start of class at 7:00 pm. If you manage to post before I do at that time, you will be considered just in time and not late. Trust me though, you DO NOT want to be late for this first class, as it will effect the rest of the classes to come.
Classes after this will not be as tolerant and will require you to post by the Wednesday afternoon after it is posted.

Robert, noticing the tall boy in the Osiris Red uniform pull a prank on the teacher. In English, Grant-sensei had referred to him as the class clown. Since he was born and raised in London, England, English was his primary language, so he understood clearly everything that was said. Obviously this Duncan fellow was trouble, and in English, he muttered to himself his opinion on Duncan Black. "What a nutter...." he said, hopefully this boy was JUST a Class Clown, and nothing more. The very prospect of another psychopath was troubling. He had met plenty in London, from the school outcast to the screw jobs trying to take hostages and create a police standoff. One even shot him in the shoulder when they robbed a convenience store when Robert was on his shift as cashier. Luckily, he managed to trigger the wall in time to save himself. A troubling memory that was, and hopefully he wouldn't have it repeat itself in some way, shape or form.

Jame smiled as it was now time for class. "Alright everyone, put everything away, its time for a test. Now don't panic, as this test is not for a grade. It is to test your current knowledge so future lessons can focus on what you need to learn. This first test is only on some basics and higher knowledge of monsters." OOC: Do not look up answers for this test. This isn't for a grade and will in fact help me plan future lessons. PM me the answers to the test. Once they are all in, I'll post that Jame has gotten them all. Any late arrivals if they post in the next twelve hours will still be able to take the test. I will wait till Wednesday Evening to get the test. If it is not in, it will not be taken into account for the average. IC: "Now that sheet you all picked up, or the one I put on your desk," he said handing out some to those that hadn't gotten one already, "has the bottom half blank. I want you to tear the blank half off. You will write your answers on these." Once that was done he went back to the projector and turned it on. Five cards were on the smart board. Dark Armed Dragon, Left Arm of the Forbidden One, Relinquished, Crab Turtle, Great Shogun Shien "You're questions are here," he said, moving over to the dry erase board and flipping it. "Begin."

She immediately put her books to the side and took out a piece of paper. Peering through the sunglasses at the questions, she scrawled down the answers quickly onto her paper and immediately turned the paper over so that no one could see her answers. She thought she knew all of them, but she couldn't be too terribly sure. In fact, she realized with a downcast look, she was probably worse at this then she presumed.

Robert, looking at the pop quiz had taken the piece of paper and had written down the answers. As he had his answers fully copied onto the paper, he turned them over in order to hide them. He was confident in his answers, and he was confident in his judgment. Hopefully this confidence wasn't misplaced.

Emma followed the instructions, tearing off the bottom part of the paper and started answering the pop-quiz. Not too challenging, but he did say that it was just basics, and she would like to think that her grasp on the basic knowledge is quite strong. She even made points to back up her answers since she was taught to do so, even though this probably was just an answers only type of quiz. After she was finished the four questions, she double checked and turned the sheet of paper over. She really had wanted to do an essay response to all the questions; but decided against it, as it's just a short quiz that's not worth any marks.

A quiz at the very first class, even though it was a little surprising, Alfonse quickly read the questions, and looked up the screen, nothing he couldn't handle, but some cards he hadn't seen earlier, so he had to stare at them closelly, he pulled a pencil he had aside, tapping it onto his gaunlent for a while, after that, he wrote up all the answers in a row, proceeding to put out his pencil, he stubbed on his mine for a little and pulled the pencil again; just to write his name, he forgot to add in the first place

Richard sat straighter at his desk as soon as he heard the term quiz. A quiz on the first day? Richard shrugged it off as he tore the end of the paper to fill out the answers. Richard took less then 5 minutes to fill out the answers, many of which were easy easy as looking at the cards. Once he was finished he turned over the paper. I wonder if all the tests will be this easy.

“Which of the above monsters are NOT Effect monsters? List all that apply.”
Before Xenneth knew it, he was already focusing on the first question, realizing he had been dozing off the moment he walked into class, he had even missed his chance to get a sheet of paper what he was to write his answers on. He was obviously embarrassed as he had received a paper from the teacher himself. He could imagine his wandering mind did not leave a good impression. Putting that aside, a silence that was definite filling the room, he had begun to shake his head and begin focusing on the questions as his eyes went back and forth between the projector and his blank sheet of paper before writing.
The first question, once more, it was too easy for him. He had seen his share of normal monsters seeing before he had sat before his mother who had a knack for switching cards. He would always ask her what was with the different colors of the cards, and she was so kind to explain, but of course, sometimes he could not follow. Between care lore and effect text, he really got confused sometimes. He was fortunate that he used a deck full of effect monsters, cards that always had orange, but then he had to question exactly what was with the other colors.
….he had spent too much time thinking, his blue eyes seeming to run off the paper and stare at the images of the projected cards thoroughly. After a while, he had hesitantly selected only one card he seen that was differentiated in that specific color obviously.
“Which of the above monsters have costs? List all that apply. What are the costs of the monster(s)' effect?”
These questions and cards were horrid as is. When it came to monster preferences, Xenneth could not focus on monsters that had such effects that were so complicated and focused around destruction. Between the samurai monster and the massive black dragon, he could not even imagining using them seeing that their effects seemed so…heartless? Sacrificing others monsters to keep one safe, removing cards for the sake of destruction? He could never play like that, and even so, his ignorance on such cards seemed to come back to cost him seeing he was so focused on cards that he would have to play with, and not cards that he would have to confront in his own duels eventually.
”Are these cards…that other people could use?” he had frowned in his thoughts as he let his blue eyes show slightly in a half open, half close state upon realizing it. It seemed like the Dueling aspect of his school life would be tougher than he thought seeing he did not like this, not one bit.
“Which of the above monsters are Nomi monsters? List all that apply.”
Nomi monsters? A term that not even he had heard of considering that he had not had his share of duels with many. Skipping the question, he had lifted a brow towards the next question.
“Which of the above monsters are Semi-Nomi monsters? List all that apply.”
A sour frown gracing his face. He was no better when this came to mind. At that moment, he tossed his head aiming to slam it against the desk, but remembering where he was, he had caught his head quickly in his palms. Already he felt a creeping test anxiety even though this was nothing more than a simple opening class review; well, far for simple in his case, but still, he had not felt like failing in anything; not this soon, not this time. He had sighed before lifting his head from his palm and once again looking towards the final question.
“Nomi…monsters?” A sound whisper coming from his lips as his eyes stared towards his paper before going back to the board. He scanned the levels of all the monsters before letting them fall back to their card text that he could barely make out, and swearing before next class, he would have a safari hat and some binoculars the next time he came searching for answers, a blissful memory came back from mind.
“Mom said…her Harpie Lady Sisters…”
He drew in a slight breath, realizing his duel so long ago. He had a ditzy expression on his face as he pointed to himself that day when posed with a question and hearing the laugh of that woman. It was like she was a scheming witch, but to him, it was the laugh of “his” mother, and only when coming from her mouth that it was comforting in some way. Raising his hands slightly and presenting the papers before his face, he had let his lips slide to one corner after puffing his cheeks full of his warm breath. Even when trying to look serious he had a “cute” expression. He felt in his heart that his answers were right as he blissfully started to write his answer.
He would pray to the heavens and thank his mom later.

A quiz huh? He had been expecting something like this ever since his conversation with the good professor back at the card shop. He was just the kind of person to do that too. After a moment of pondering the questions, Matt followed the instructions the class had been given, tore off the bottom sheet of the paper and retrieved a pencil from his bag. After only a few moments of writing, he had mimicked Mizuki's actions and flipped his paper face down, although he did not double check his work. Whether his answers were right or not were the least of his worries right now anyways.
After he finished the small quiz, he rested his head back in his palm and continued his stare into the depths of the board in front of him. Not much else to do unless someone addressed him, and that was far unlikely during a quiz. At least the teacher could be sure he was paying attention to the class, considering he had finished the quiz in a timely manner, even if he hadn't been the first one finished.

Nomi? Semi-Nomi? Fukanomi? All these nomi's are making Amaya's head spin, and it does not help that she doesn't know what any of those are except for Fukanomi. She slowly tried to calm down and think about this rationally. Nomi... usually short for Nomial, which is close to Normal. Normal yet not normal, could it have something to do with Geminis? But then again, none of the monsters listed are Gemini monsters. Suddenly, by observing the similarities between the cards, she decided to randomly take a stab at the last two questions. Feeling satisfied, Amaya flipped the paper over and waits for the next set of instructions.

Jame saw a few people getting frustrated over the quiz. "Remember," he said going around. "This is not for a grade. This will just be used to help me determine what some of you were taught previously and what I need to teach you." The previous teacher hadn't given Jame any of the the information that Jame had requested on previous lessons, so Jame had to figure out where his students were presently.
"Just an analysis."

Issy stared at the cards on the projected, and them down onto her paper. Test? She hated tests, they always proved just how little an attention span she had, and how she would be lucky to be able to reach question 4 most of the time, before dozing off, or watching a bug on the window until the thing was finished, and she was left looking quite bemused as to where the time had vanished to. She had to try though, maybe just get a couple. The first question seemed to be easy enough anyway, as she happily scribbled something or another down for it.
Then she began to panic.
Costs? Was that like Synchro or Fusion monsters, she couldn’t see any of them, and what where these blue ones anyway, she had never used them before, she wanted to scream. She couldn’t even make out what questions three and four wanted.
Time to hedge her bets, and the only way she could figure of doing this was to write the same thing for each of the last three answers, in the sheer hope that each of the cards where up there for a reason, and she would be able to gain at least some of the marks, yes that would do, wouldn’t it, she hoped it would at least.
