The Secrets to life began with one movement and one movement only...... A Step Forward. Marvelo actually took the time to look at the paper and sighed at the responses. With a ball point pen, he began and quickly finished. He was surprised to see the terms Nomi and Semi-Nomi. Very few people who dueled even referred to these cards but they were extremely important to know, especially for duels. The card choices were also surprising. Dark Armed Dragon, Relinquished, Left Arm of the Forbidden One, Crab Turtle, and Great Shogun Shien. All different types for decks. Marvelo smirked as he looked at the cards. Just then a few ideas popped into his head for new decks but it wasn't time to for it.
Having his eyes wander he noticed that a Ra Yellow had appeared to be the first to show any action of being finished and then an Obelisk showed signs also. Marvelo sighed. The "analysis" as Marvelo overhead wasn't really worth it. It only distinguished forgotten, or underused terms, but it was only Duel Monsters class. Marvelo simply turned his paper over and held his head up with his palm. Boredom being obviously present on his face.

Robert, after completing his test quickly and confidently looked around the room, seeing the reactions of his peers. Many were frustrated with the questions presented. The terms Nomi and Semi-Nomi were common sense to him, as he has played various locals before going to Duel Academia. He had learned the game rather quickly, and had gained a good deck pretty quickly due to the money he earned with his jobs. Nomi and Semi-Nomi were terms he had learned quickly, in order to get into the game quickly, and to distinguish the differences between certain conditions,

Failing a practice test was no better to Xenneth. It was like telling him that he was having no chance if he was already struggling with something that was only a simulation to the real world. His blue eyes setting upon the paper that had his problems, his breath let out a bothered sigh. He was hesitant to touch his other two answers other than the last. He trust those two with all his heart considering they were lessons right before the very eyes of his mother so he treated them just as good as common sense. His eyes going back to the answers in question, he decided to finally let them go, and exemplified this by flipping his sheet of paper over revealing the blank side and ripping the bottom part of the paper that was to be turned in for credit.
His eyes had went from his desktop to the students that seemed to have finished. Giving a slight smile, he felt he was not as far as behind as he thought, but questioned himself seeing some still working. That meant it took them longer to think, or they saw more than what meets the eye when it came to the questions. He envied those just as much as the ones that finished in a quick hurry making him look like some standard average when it came to the world of Duel Monsters. He really wished he could at least be as good as this as he was with his medical skills.
The teachers words weren’t reassuring as it only made Xenneth think some more to himself. Moment by moment, he started to ask himself each time was he truly going to pass and succeed in being a duelist if he did not know how to properly learn the card terms. Further past that thought, the cards themselves he had seen today looked intimidating, much more than his mother’s Harpies or his Auntie Lu’s Amazons that were overpowering by their Earth and Wind elements which were the only two monster elements he was closely associated with and their specialties.
Just how complicated was the game of duel monsters; and if he could ask this, why was he a Ra Yellow student? [/size]

Duncan, only taking time to partially fill in the first question, had just not bothered to answer the rest of the questions. He mostly took the time to doodle an offensive depiction of Governor Bush. Basically it depicted him as a retard on one panel, along with a crowd of mentally retarded people. Than on the next panel, Bush acting smarter, and more sinister. He was speaking to Dick Cheney , Carl Rove and the rest of the administration about evil plans, a September 11th conspiracy. He didn't truly believe in the conspiracy theories, he just posted them for fun. He could tell that Jame Grant was an American, so he decided to introduce himself 'formally' by truly attempting to push his buttons. He memorized the cartoon, kissed it and placed it face down on the table to show he was done.

Ethan sees the questions and mentally calls up all the information on those cards, even though a lot of it is on the cards, it's easy to miss a few things without an almost encyclopedic knowledge of cards.
Thankfully, investing so many hours into the game meant Ethan knew exactly what to do, writing the answers quickly and turning his sheet over to prevent anyone else's prying eyes from seeing what he wrote.

DJ yelped as the quiz was announced, he certainly wasn't prepared for such a thing on the first day. However he eventually resigned himself to the test and began writing. The questions didn't seem too outlandish and he seemed like he could get the grasp of some of them. But still, at the same time he couldn't help feeling like there was some careful wording and subtle traits in the revealed cards that would make answering these questions more difficult than it seemed at first.
"Alright... here goes nothing..." He whispered to himself as he marked off the answers, hoping for the best.

Jame collected the tests and returned to set them on his desk. "Thank you for your work." He placed the papers in a folder. "This will help me finish the plans for your next lessons." Jame was pleased with the answers he saw. Looking back towards the students Jame said, "Well now I'll explain the top half of the paper you got. Front is the rules of the class. Be on time. Three strikes and you're out for that one. If you are late by fifteen minutes or less, I won't count it as an absent. On the back table, before class there will be a sign-in sheet."
Jame then continued with the other rules, going to the second one about homework. "Homework will be taken late. If its one day late, 25% taken off. That means one day late is an instant C. Second day and all after that is 50% off. That is an F still, but is better than a 0.
"There are three tests in this course, plus a final. Half of each test is like the test you just went through, a few multiple choice, and three short answer questions. There will also be a few extra credit problems at the end of each test."
Jame then clapped his hands together and rubbed them. "Okie Dokie," he said in English and then switched back to Japanese for the rest. "So unless there are any questions, class is dismissed."
It had been a short class, but being the first class, that was to be expected.

"Wow, that was mostly painless." DJ chuckled as he packed up his things, running a hand through his hair to try and clear his head. "Oh well." He laughed, classes with tests always seemed to go faster since there wasn't someone standing up there talking the whole time, more activity let it pass quicker. He hopped to his feet, picked up his backpack and walked out of the room fairly happily.
