This was her first day here, her first day traversing the grounds of the school. And, in her own opinion, it was as boring as hell. There was nothing out of the ordinary going on if you counted the spirits running around as normal. Since Jaz had been able to see the spirits for a while now, it was nothing new to her. She just hated the fact that all the movement around her caused her tension. No matter if it was spirit or student, any sudden movement from the corner of her eye caused her to snap towards it, and while it annoyed her to no end, the action was more reflex than her wishing to see what was moving around the corner of her eyes.
With a small sigh, Jaz shoved her hands into her pants pockets as far as they would go. She had planned on spending today getting to know the area, where students had a tendency to hang out the most, and even where she could get away from the hustle and bustle of the school. What she had seen before coming to the courtyard had been impressive, but she wasn't concerned with what she had already seen. Not now, in any case.
She just let her feet take her wherever, not entirely paying attention to where she was going. That probably wasn't the best idea, since she didn't know her way around the grounds, but Jaz didn't care. It wouldn't be hard to find the tall and oddly placed building from a forest of trees and find her way back if she got lost. Besides, she'd have an eye in the sky should something happen. The Ra-placed girl looked over her shoulder, pausing in motion for a brief second. Speaking of her eye in the sky, where was the little feather-muncher?

"That was soooo stupid." said a voice, behind a few trees. The voice was full of displeasure, which emphasized the word 'so' in a fashion that Aaron greatly disliked. He was a Slifer Red, short, and with brown hair, around the age of 17. "I had you for like the whole duel, and then you drew that lucky card and won."
Sniffling could be heard in that same direction. This one belonged to Aaron. If anyone thought that Aaron was even remotely sorry for the other person, they would have immediately took it back, seeing that mocking look that was on his face.
"You're such an ass," said the other Slifer Red, who quickly stormed off.
Aaron did a mocking salute as the guy left, than took his dueling deck out of his duel disk, placing it in his front pocket of his jeans. Bending down, he picked up his Slifer Red jacket, the only part of the uniform he actually wore, and placed it over his shoulder.

Casper slinked from shadow to shadow, trying his best to not look suspicious and make the outside seem less... big. He failed on both attempts. "Th-They took my c-coat again... Y-You'd think th-they'd come up with a-another way to b-bully me..." Casper paused under a tree and popped a few pills. He looked up and saw a boy in a red coat.
With a gulp, Casper backed up to avoid contact as much as possible. That is, until he backed into a girl and fell down. "C-Curse me and m-my c-clumsiness..." Casper muttered, wincing at the bright light that was to be expected from being outdoors. After he stood up, Casper turned and apologized to the person he'd run into. "S-Sorry..."

The tell-tale sounds of a duel ending was what brought Jaz away from her thoughts on her bird-brained friend and at the task at hand. Someone had dueled, and while she didn't know who had or where, it was enough to get her shivering with excitement. She tried to find the source, her eyes drifting over what could be seen. There was a different student storming off. Ticked off after losing a duel, maybe? Either way, that meant there had to be someone else around to have caused that anger.
While searching for this source of irritation, something moved in the corner of her eye, causing Jaz to quickly snap her head around, only to find herself being walked into by someone else. Hardening her expression into a glare, she let out a growl at the boy. Her personal space had been invaded. Her anger ceased a small bit at the apology, and only a snort left the girl, a small "Whatever," coming from her as she went back to search for her mysterious duelist.
Whoa, wait a minute. She reversed her thought process. Most of the kids here were students. Students meant they were duelists. If this kid that had ran into her was a student here, then that meant he could duel. Jaz turned back around to face the boy, having to tilt her head back a bit in order to see the boy's face. Damn taller people. Putting her annoyance at those taller than her aside, Jaz continued with the question at hand. "You're a duelist, right?"

Aaron stared in disbelief as the shyest person that he ever met ran into some girl. Oh god he is as awkward as an upside down turtle he thought to himself, as he stared at the guy in disbelief. He was surprised though when the girl headed into his direction.
He grinned when she spoke up. "Nope." he said simply, still grinning, as he lifted his right hand that held his duel disk. "I just like the fashion accessories that duelists have."

"A-As for me, d-duelist is a r-relative t-term. I d-duel occasionally, but I a-almost never w-win..." Casper stuttered, pausing only to pop a few more pills. He winced visibly as the aftertaste left him. "I'm C-C-Casper A-Amity. Th-Though people have t-taken to c-calling me Z-Z-Z-Zombie Boy, on a-account of my p-pale complexion and and my a-a-antisocial h-habits, n-not to m-mention my choices in d-decks."
With a swallow, Casper looked at the other too. Oh, how I do hate being the tall one... Casper thought with a mental groan as he noticed the Slifer boy was roughly an inch or two shorter than him. I detest awkward silences more than my height...

Great. Both were duelists. That left a wonderful idea in the mind of the girl. Pretty much ignoring anything else that came out of the taller boy's mouth, she looked them over. While dorm rank meant nothing to her, confident duelists usually had skill to back up what they said. And the kid with the red jacket seemed confident enough to her. This idea of hers just might work wonderfully.
"Alright then, boys," she stared, stepping between the two. She glanced from one to the other, trying to not think about how they were taller than her. There was almost a teasing, daring look in her gaze. "Let's have a three-way duel." There would be no end to the insults should they turn this down. Jaz had this idea stuck in her head, and by God she would have her three-way duel! Even if she had to threaten someone into it!
"Well? Too afraid to take on two opponents at once?" Again, she looked from one to the other, just daring them to try to get out of this.

Aaron scratched the back of his head with his left hand. Three way duel? he asked himself. He tried to think back to class about what his professor had said about this. It happened so little, he kind of just forgot about it.
However, Aaron would never let it be known that he was clueless about something like this. "Three way. Sure shorty. But I think you should explain what that is to Dawn of the Dead over there..." said Aaron, as he pointed to the male Ra Yellow.

Casper nearly fainted. "Th-three way duel?" Casper gulped, then did his weird sort of semi-glare that the Slifer boy. "I know what a three-way d-duel is. N-Nice change of pace on the n-nickname th-though." Casper... 'complimented'. "I'd r-rather not embarrass m-myself." Casper laughed nervously and started edging away.
"N-No d-doubt you t-two would have m-more fun without me."

Her attention turned to the Slifer, a harsh glare in her eyes. Few people could get away with calling her names, and Shorty was not one she was happy hearing. Though it more than likely wouldn't change what the boy called him, Jaz took this time to introduce herself, growling out the words. "The name's Jaz, and you'd do well to remember it."
Shortly thereafter her head snapped towards the tallest of the trio. "It isn't a three-way duel without three people! And since you're the only other person around here, then that means you're in." She nodded matter-of-factly, crossing her arms over her chest. Not once did she ever stop to explain the rules of the three-way duel. Both boys seemed as if they already knew, so what was the point in explaining it?

Aaron nodded after Casper spoke. Made sense he thought. Already I dont feel like I'll be having much fun here...
"Yeah. I'll have to agree with the Friendly Ghost on this one," said Zekk, as he eyed Casper and pointed his thumb at Casper. He looks paler than....pale. He turned to face the girl."You're one of those people who's not used to not getting they're way aren't you?"
Aaron paused for a bit. "I bet something irritating happens if we say no, am I right...Jazzy." he emphasized the word "jazzy". He was enjoying the nicknaming a little too much.

Casper laughed nervously. "W-Well then, I s-suppose you'll have to have a n-normal d-duel then, w-w-won't you?" The pale boy took a step back, followed by another step. Then he turned to run off, but tripped on his shoelace and fell over. "I m-meant to d-do that." Casper said as nonchalantly as he possibly could.
Casper then stood up, his deck proceeding to fall out of his case as he did so. "I r-really need to f-fix that cl-clasp." The boy choked out as he proceeded to round up the cards. "M-Mezuki, Goblin Z-Zombie..." He read each name aloud as he picked up, keeping a mental checklist.
"... D-Do either of y-you see a R-Red Eyes Zombie D-Dragon?"

Aaron sighed heavily, his shoulders slumping as he did. "Dear lord..." he started calmly. "Who let you outside?"
Aaron looked at Casper's jacket. Ra Yellow he thought. How the hell is he better than me?

The glare she had tossed at the Slifer earlier intensified. She rounded on him, and even though he was taller than her by a few inched, proceeded to pole him roughly in the chest. "Listen here, moron. I don't care if you get off at annoying others, but I swear on all you find holy, if you continue to call me 'Jazzy', I will break every bone in your body, find a live rat, slash open your stomach, and let the rat feed on your gut while I remove your intestines." The fact that this could not only be considered a threat, but also overly violent never occurred to the girl.
She didn't bring up what else he had said about her always getting what she wanted. Jaz far from got everything she wanted. She was just stubborn as hell. The Ra couldn't force them to duel, it was their own choice, but she would keep trying to get the duel started until someone walked away.
Turning her back on the boy, she huffed, shoving her hands back in her pockets. Having been busy ranting, she hadn't heard the other Ra fall, and only noticed it when he voiced that he was missing a card. Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon? With the right cards, that could be one disaster to deal with. Glancing at the ground around her feet, she spotted the brown back of a card. Jaz picked it up, noticing the start of the card's name before holding it out to the owner. "Here.
"Now, are we going to duel or what? There's not much else to do around here right now."

Casper gratefully took the card. "I s-suppose f-five e-embarrassments in o-one day couldn't h-hurt, c-could it?" Casper stood up and pulled out his Duel Disk. "Th-That is, if ev-everyone else it u-up to it as w-well..." Casper glanced at the girl and the boy and gulped. This would not end well for the Ra. Not at all.
"I pr-promise I won't l-lose t-too q-quickly, or I-I'll t-try not to, a-a-anyways." Casper said as he made sure that all his cards were in their proper place. "Sh-Shall we?" The pale boy asked nervously as he loaded his deck into the apparatus.
