Students outside. They were dueling? Arguing? Standing around and doing nothing? Flora wasn't sure. Having wandered out from the main building, she immediately saw a small congregation of students outside in the courtyard. They did not seem especially warm and friendly to each other though. There was a lot of distance between them and each of them seemed more ready to duel each other than embrace. Flora wondered what was going on.
She moved in their general direction since they were blocking the way back to the Ra Yellow dorms. As she approached, she saw a card drifting back towards her. She bent down to pick it up and brought it up to examine it more closely. Plaguespreader Zombie. It looked like it was a pretty good card, since it combo'd with zombie decks so well. Flora was not the biggest fan of zombies though. They were such creepy things.
She saw a boy rummaging around the ground. She approached him and held out the card. "Is this yours?"

Aaron backed away slightly from Jaz as she yelled, looked to his side, not meeting her eyes. Terrifying he thought. He than looked over at the two Ra Yellows. Completely different personalities and probably completely different decks and dueling strategies. No way I can pass on this.
Aaron grabbed his dueling deck from his pocket and slid it into his duel disk. I guess I'll just have to wing it and see what happens.
"Fine. Game on." said Aaron, as his life counter began to rise.

Casper blinked at the girl. But I grabbed all my cards... He thought as he rummaged through his deck. "I forgot Plaguespreader Zombie!" With yet another burst of nervous laughter, Casper slipped the Tuner into his deck. "Th-Thanks. My wh-whole game would've been r-ruined if I didn't have th-this card." Casper admitted as he reloaded his deck.
(Terribly short post is terribly short.)

So, both the boys were in. That was great. Jaz took up her own position before the duel could begin, pulling her deck from the case at her hip and slipping it into the slot on her Duel Disk. The Life Point counter lit up. Before she could draw a hand, though, someone else had intruded on the party. Another Ra by the looks of things. A three-way duel had already been decided and agreed upon, and that was what Jaz was going with. If the other girl wanted in, all she had to do was say something.
"Alright. Basic rules in a situation like this. Anything goes, but no attacking your first turn. You two and fight it out to see who goes first. I don't really care who does." She finished this with a shrug. Her deck worked well when she didn't go first, but she could pull something off either way. The boys could figure it out.

Aaron glanced over at the new Ra that came over.
"Careful," he said to the new Ra, deciding to have a little fun. "Despite what you think, he does bite."
Grinning to himself, he took his Slifer Red jacket that was over his shoulder, and let it drop down onto the ground next to him. Stick out like a sore thumb anyway he thought to himself.
He than looked at Casper. "So...you wanna do noses....or what?"

She watched the nervous reaction of the other boy as he took back his card. Plaguespreader Zombie anchored a lot of zombie decks, so Flora was not surprised that he needed it. The card was also limited. It was unlikely that the Ra boy had another Plaguespreader on him. That card was probably the only one that he had.
"You're welcome," she replied with an innocent smile. Her mama had always taught her to give things back with a smile without expecting anything in return, and that's what she did. She was no good with the whole dueling thing. It was probably best for her to leave the others alone to themselves.

Casper shuffled about awkwardly before asking the Ra girl a question. "I d-don't think a-a-anyone else minds, d-do you w-want to join u-us?" Casper gulped nervously. "I-If not, I c-can go f-first." Casper stuttered. He paused slightly to pop a few pills and take a gulp of water.
"Th-That is if n-n-no one else m-minds." Casper stuttered on. Always thoughtful, always with that nervous stutter. Casper looked at the other two. "W-Well?"

Aaron made a loud whine, slumping forward, his head facing the ground. "I don't care!" cried out Aaron, his voice a mixture between anger and impatience. "I just want to do something!"
Aaron was quite obviously losing patience with this whole thing. Either they would start dueling or not. He didn't care which way it went, just as long as he got the heads up. These people were starting to annoy him. Well...mostly the pale one thought Aaron.

At the suggestion of the girl dueling, Jaz paused for a moment, eyes focused on the girl. She had suggested a three-way duel earlier since there had been three people in the area. Now, however, there were four. It would only take rearranging themselves to allow the other girl to join in. Only a few added minutes would keep them from starting the duel.
Finally, Jaz shrugged, showing her option on the idea. "Whatever works and as long as I get a duel." She moved over a small bit, just in case, waiting on drawing her hand until everyone was ready and in position. Irritation was starting to set in, however. She wanted the duel to start, and soon.

Flora shrugged. She liked duel monsters, but she did not consider herself very good. Other duelists always seemed to have these incredibly elaborate combos that made it hard for her to match. She felt inadequate next to the skill of some of the other students. Duel Academy had a lot of great players. Flora did not consider herself one of the best. The jack on her back was a Ra Yellow, after all, and not an Obelisk Blue.
"Oh, well..."
Flora stammered, not really sure about the duel. She figured that if they really wanted to duel, they should just start without her, since she was not good at it. The other duelists in the courtyard could probably run circles around her. Dueling was never really her forte. She was best at memorizing the cards and knowing the rules, but she was never the best deck builder.
"I'm really no good with dueling."

"A-Alright then." Casper made sure all was ready before he started. He drew his hand and commenced the duel. "I'll start." Casper announced.
"I-I'll start by playing G-Goblin Z-Zombie in attack mode and I'll s-set one card b-backfield." Casper stammered out as the face-down card and upright zombified goblin materialized in front of him. "I e-end my t-turn."

"Good." said Aaron. "We can finely do something."
Looking over at the new Ra girl, he studied her for a few brief moments and than dismissed her. Great. Another Ra who appears utterly hopeless, but still outranks me thought Aaron, who was drawing five cards as Casper took his turn.
Examining his hand briefly, he drew a card while saying, "Since she doesn't care." referring to Jaz.
His hand now up to six, he looked over his hand again. Alright thought Aaron. A weak monster in attack mode with a face down card. It has to be a trap. Will I fall for it? ...Probably.
"I'll play Tune Warrior (1600/200) in attack mode." started Aaron, as he laid down a monster in attack mode.
A large, mech like warrior appeared in front of Aaron, in red metal plate with antennae.
"And...thats it for me." stated Aaron.

Looks like this would stay a three-way, which was just fine to Jaz. She watched her opponents make their moves. Monsters in attack position on the first turn. It wasn't anything to be surprised about. The other two had a better chance at summoning out stronger monsters next turn and clearing out someone's field. Depending on who did what, someone might lose a chunk of life points.
Jaz drew a card, studying what she had in her hand. This was great. She had two possible moves she could make, and it depended on what happened during the next turns her opponents took.
"I summon Blackwing- Shura the Blue Fame, and set two cards facedown." The feathered bird took to the field, wings outstretched and eying the enemies. It was the strongest monster on the field, currently. Two facedown cards appeared behind the Blackwing creature. "I end." This was bound to be interesting.

Casper gulped. Two stronger monsters than Goblin Zombie. This did not bode well... Casper swallowed his doubt and drew his next card. Casper laid down his card. "I p-play the Field Spell Z-Zombie W-World. Now every monster on the f-field and in the g-g-graveyard is treated as a Z-Zombie-type Monster." Casper picked up another card from his hand.
"N-Now I f-follow up by S-Summoning P-Paladin of the Cursed D-Dragon in Attack M-Mode!" Casper laid the card down and the zombified dragon and rider rose from the ground, desiccated flesh falling in tiny chunklets to the ground.
"P-Paladin of C-Cursed Dragon, attack T-Tune Warrior!" The Paladin lashed out as the dragon drew close to the monster, striking with his lance. "I-If my Paladin destroys a Z-Zombie in battle, then I can S-Summon it to my field!"

Aaron said nothing as the dragon lance struck his monster, his own monster destroyed. Damn. Should have gone defensive he thought.
