Dr. Stein now sat in his chair at the front of the classroom, his feet up on the desk before him as he read a simple book, his yellow eyes scanning the pages lazily. On the board behind him was now a new header. Dueling History and Theory
A smirk could be seen on his face this time around. Now, it would be time to really immerse them into what a duel could really pull on a person.

It wasn't long before Matt walked into the room. With the Spirit Festival starting, and monster appearing out of nowhere for no reason, he found himself wanting to be in the classroom mor than anywhere else on the island for once. Which, in turn, led him to be the first person to class for once. Matt was never really one to be the first person to class. He was usually third or fourth, but now that he was the first to class, he could honestly say it wasn't that spectacular.
Remaining silent as he walked it, Matt took his seat in the classroom and began shifting through his decks. There had been a duel last class, and he wasn't too keen on getting picked with a sub par deck. Besides, what else was there to do besides daydream and study? He'd be out enjoying the festival if it wasn't for the monsters roaming the grounds now. The whole business made him uncomfortable.

It was time for class yet again, and after the first lesson, Jaeger was curious as to what was planned this time around. Different thoughts about what could happen within the classroom walls drifted through his mind as he made his way to class. He was the second one to arrive, Matt in the classroom, as well as their teacher. It was nice not being the first student to arrive to class all the time. Then again, it was only the second lesson.
He greeted the other student with a small nod before heading over to his own seat near the front of the class. He crossed his arms in top of the desk, resting his chin on top of them. Jaeger glanced at what was written on the board this time around. History and theory? Huh. Well, who knew how this would turn out.

Issy wandered in her rather aimless fashion into the class, barely paying any sort of attention to the lack of other people there. Of course she sort of expected this, what with the festival being on, and so it never really registered in her mind too much. And this would have most likely just gone on, had she not thought for a second that she was completely alone. Did that mean that she had turned up at the wrong class or something? How was that possible, she was lucky just to be able to turn up at the right time, let alone turn up when she didn’t need to.
With this rather confusing idea in her mind she spun around on the spot, before spotting a boy up the back, she wasn’t at least then completely alone. And then finally reading the board, she was pretty sure she was at the right place. Taking her seat quietly, she waited for something to actually happen.

Finally, Professor Stein's class would start up again. After all of the hell that ensued, Robert was eager to get back on track. And it would finally be time for his homework to be submitted. But he had a question for himself. Would he use his Ojama Country build in this class, or reveal his Gladiators?
When that girl Emma saw what he was packing, she had ridiculed him. After that, his first sad moment here. He was to duel as a team with Craig, but it backfired on them. The computer was packing an Exodia Turbo deck. It wasn't the loss that hurt him at all. It was the ensuing scorn coming from Craig that hurt.
After class, he decided to resolve things between both Emma and Craig. Leaving notes in each of their book bags, he directed them towards dueling him. He had motivated Craig by allowing a shot of revenge at him. However, he wouldn't just give it to him, he made Craig fight for it. However, Robert had defeated Craig, which only added to the scorn.
Emma was asked to be the one to partner up for homework, and to see the power his deck held. After some talking, the two of them dueled it out. He came out on top rather quickly, and the reaction from her was much more pleasant than the one he got from Craig. He found a rival in her even, and eventually scored a date from her. But they are still just friends, which is fine for him.
After taking his seat, Robert was now ready for class. Lets just hope the real deal is good.

DJ hopped into class nervously, he was terribly anxious about this class, especially after zoning off so bad last time. He had no idea what classes he had gone to and what classes he had not in the past few weeks, it all seemed like a blurr to him. He had been hitting the books so hard it made his head spin and he still didn't feel much smarter. Hopefully his studies would allow him to get the most of this class now that it was open again and he was back in focus somewhat.
He quietly tipptoed to his seat, seeing a few other people there on the way. The last thing he wanted to do was cause an uneeded attention to be drawn to himself, mostly since he had no idea what was going on half the time and hoped no one would ask him about the strange occurances lately. He sighed and quietly took a seat towards the middle-ish section of the classroom, waiting for the class to kick into gear.

So, this was Professor Stein's class, huh? He had heard many things about the professor. Including how he sicked a moronic hologram on two students. A hologram that was packing some Appropriate Exodia deck. A rather cheap example, and how the Obelisk boy scorned the Ra. And he also heard how the Ra boy tried to work things out, but he failed.
Evan looked at his new professor. After a moment of staring, he took a seat. Despite how he was looking forward to class, he'd rather not be the victim of a cheap trick like those two boys. Hell, he was even hoping to be called on for a duel. Maybe then he'd show everyone how it was done.
He had also heard about Marvelo's attempt on the demon Scar. He used Dark Simorgh's grave ignition effect when it wouldn't finish the opponent off? And he removed his Gale of the Hurricane and Soldier of the Mist Valley from the hand? That was NOT a way Evan would have used Dark Simorgh or two good tuners. He would just avoided Armageddon Knight that turn, and would have summoned Soldier of the Mist Valley, tuned his tuner and the token his opponent so KINDLY gave him for a Catastor. And the Gale would be there for when he needed it the most.
He used Dark Simorgh in a MUCH better way than Marvelo did when he took on Rubicante. As a matter of fact, he summoned two copies of Dark Simorgh without so stupidly wasting Hand Advantage. And he did it in a way that brought out Dark Armed Dragon and Guardian Eatos at the same time.
Evan had then taken his seat. Hopefully others in this class would prove to be promising.

Finally a class that didn't require too much focus, unless a duel was in process. Walking into the classroom, Marvelo had his hands shoved into his pocket and his duel disk on his arm. A deck box was set on his waist. Looking around for a seat, Marvelo sighed at his lack of a "social" life here. The other person familiar was Matt, but they had only met once. Everyone else was foreign.
Eventually, Marvelo just a took a seat somewhere in the middle. Looking at the board he sighed at the lesson today. History and Theory. The class was just suppose to be dueling and finding out the concepts and analyzing it. Why were they were...learning? His elbow slowly found it's way to the table surface and his palm resided to holding up his head. This was going to be a long class.

Post by Masami Maeda on Dec 2, 2009 17:44:23 GMT -5
Masami had never been the most attentive of students. She usually languished in the back of the class without a care for the teacher or the curriculum. Half of the time, she had an earbud in one ear and her pencil doodling in her notebook in what turned out to be a half-decent cover for taking notes. She was an Obelisk, and incidentally one of the top students in the school, which meant that she must have been doing something right, even if she was hardly the most diligent student.
And that did not seem to change today. She took a customary seat towards the back of the class, her notebook already open a blank page. She made a half-hearted attempt to fill up the page by dating the top left corner of her notebook with the current lecture, but she knew—almost instinctively—that she would more likely fill her page with her drawings than any cogent attempt at transcribing with the professor said. Somehow, all the classes seem to fly by without much new information for her, but the class had still managed to sucker her into coming every time. Masami was willing to spare a chuckle at her own expense.
The subject matter disappointed her. Didn’t they already have a class for duel history? Why were they doing a mirror of another class in duel class instead of learning about more advanced gameplay strategies? Masami sighed at her bad luck. As much as she would have liked to have a good informative lecture, it looked like Masami could simply take out her old Duel History notes and go on autopilot.

Dueling, the thought of entering a class were most of the members could tear through all four of his decks in a matter of turns wasn't an entertaining prospect. Coupled with the fact that Alexander didn't generally cope with people well, most would never expect im to enter a dueling class on time and intentionally.
He had his reasons though, a few of them. On a most primal level he wanted to become a better duelist, he knew he was good, you had to be good to get into the academy, but from what he had seen thus far he had long, long way to go. In addition to this the other classes bored him, not because they involved so much theory but because the theory they involved was what he considered general knowledge. It was in the application of this theory that Alexander encountered difficulty. Finally, he wanted to see the decks that the best used, not to copy them. But to adjust his own decks in a way that they would manage against the best, because by the end of his time at the academy Alexander intended to be one of the those people everyone feared to duel, he wanted to be the best.
And so the brown haired boy entered rather quietly, greeted the teacher and introduced himselfd before taking a seat in one of the back corners of the class. Doing so allowed him to not only see the teacher, but it allowed him to look over those whom would be his competition in the future. He removed a notepad and a pend, writing down the title of what they would be studying before turning his attention back to the teacher and awaiting for class to begin. [/blockquote]

Zekai had managed to make it before the class had started it seemed, and it suited him perfectly well, as this was the only thing making his stay in the Duel Academy worthwhile. Every year he had attended dueling class, as there was always something he could learn from it as dueling evolved. This had served him well many times in real life, and ensured he had enough money to live off of during the summer.
The professor himself was on another level compared to most of the staff as well. If there was a person Zekai would ever respect, it would be this man as not only did he duel very methodically and made precise incisions in his opponent's life points, but he was always brutally blunt and would not hesitate to say whatever he had in mind. Seating himself in the back, he had a nice view should a demonstrative duel take place, which he hoped it would as he heard he had missed quite a duel in the first lesson.

Post by "Jugan" Kannouteki on Dec 4, 2009 7:49:35 GMT -5
Jugan staggered into the class with a massive yawn and flopped down into his seat, head resting on the desk. True, being this massively tired was not manly at all, but he'd been up all night going through his deck and working out strategies. He'd come up with one, and it still only helped him get VWXYZ out faster. "Please don't let class be boring... or unmanly." Whether Jugan was praying, or just talking to himself, was up for debate.
Within a minute, Jugan was asleep. And drooling on the desk, a testament to his manly fatigue.

Post by Dr. Franken Stein on Dec 4, 2009 9:32:05 GMT -5
Dr. Stein was enjoying the quiet of the class at the moment. He had never looked up from his book, but by the noises of chairs being shifted around and different footfalls, he could already tell that there was a number of students. All he wanted to do was finish the most recent chapter and then start his class. However, the school board seemed to have a different idea for what was necessary. At that moment, his computer speakers let out a sound of a chainsaw revving up and sawing through something. Dr. Stein lowered his book just a bit to look over at the screen, then moved over to it to read what was now there. He sighed a bit, then put his book down on the desk, getting out of his chair and walking over to the board. He then proceeded to erase the old message, then picked up his chalk and wrote a new one before heading back over to his seat. Deck Construction and the Art of Practicality "Change of plan, folks. Get ready for a whole new idea of what we will be doing." He then picked up his book and started reading it again. "Organize yourselves, talk amongst yourselves, whatever you would like for the moment. As long as it doesn't disturb my reading. We will wait ten minutes for the rest to arrive. Then, it's time to start."Behind his book, though, Stein was grinning madly. This was where he could really have some fun. (Alright, everyone, I probably won't be back until Sunday night, so have fun until then. Don't cause any chaos, or I'll have to use my own variation of Mizuki's hammer.)

((EXCUSE! =O Not only did you threaten to copyright MY HAMMER... YOU STOLE MY CLASS! =O We really gotta arrange for you to take over Deck Construction instead.))
This teacher was to say the least a mite bit creepy. She couldn't quite place why. Yet she was required to go to class and to still keep up with her classes, despite everything that had happened. So now she had five classes on top of looking after Will, and if she wanted some good recommendations for university she would have to volunteer as well. Lovely.
So, she was here, and she was sitting in class, looking around. Where was Shizuma? She could understand Will not being here, but was Shizuma still looking after that girl? Roxxan she knew was still on the mend however she hadn't asked much about her... in fact she knew that there was someone else caring for her. So she just quietly sat in class, alone, and sighed a little.
((Shittiest post ever, sorry.))

Post by Jaeger Turrok on Dec 4, 2009 12:16:22 GMT -5
With class still waiting to be started, Jaeger had drifted off, thoughts passing from one subject to another. Ways to better his deck, the friends he had met since first arriving on the island, and why wasn't he hearing Jugan's normally loud voice? The sound of te chainsaw snapped him out of it, his head whipping towards the computer, all attention focused there with his head cocked to the side a small bit, much like a curious dog.
As the teacher looked at the screen and moved over to the board, that tilt deeped. A change of plans, eh? That looked like a big change of plans. From history to construction. Well, hopefully something interesting would happen either way. Jaeger wasn't sure if he could keep his attention focused on a dull lecture or boring lesson.
With ten minutes to just chat, the Slifer leaned back on his seat and looked over his shoulder for Jugan. His roommate was fast asleep. Jaeger wasn''t surprised. Still this now brought up the question of if it was worth it to wake up the other boy. Jugan's loud voice was sure to disturb the teacher's reading. Oh well. If the teacher had a problem with it, then there was a problem with it.
Yawning and stretcing his arms above his head, Jaeger just glanced back up at Jugan. Well, maybe he would stay here in his seat instead. Though he would have liked to talk to his friend, Jaeger couldn't find it the energy to pull himself from his seat and slink towards where Jugan was sitting. Not now, anyway. He was comfortable, settled in his seat.
