Terra Cotta March - Halo 2 Theme Mjolnir MixAround the courtyard...the pounding could be heard. A rythmic pounding...it had started softly coming from the direction of the mountain. But now it grew more and more...and the ground started to quake as the sound grew louder. From the direction of the forest, figures could be seen...shadowed at first...but as they came closer and closer to the light...more could be seen...until finally a figure...no figures came into view. Soldiers...that were formed to look like Ancient Chinese Soldiers appeared. Each of them as brown as the ground that they were fashioned form. A mix of Brown, Grey, and Red formed each of them. They were like the Terra Cotta soldiers in China...but moving and alive. But with a subtle difference...poking out of each of them were leaves and twigs...inside these leaves and twigs acted as a skeleton for each. Their numbers grew more and more as they appeared from the forest...there was at least 50 of them now marching into the Courtyard. However, the cause of these soldiers were yet to be seen...each of them held in their hands a stone fashioned spear. Scarmilogne had made his move...and was now going to conquer Duel Academy with the other demons now gone for good.

Ethan was laying on the grass in the courtyard, trying to piece everything together. He had sen so much stuff in the past few days, even *he* couldn't beleive it. And that was saying something, from the kid who had seen everything.
Of course he hadn't seen anything, or he wouldn't have been as freaked out when he saw the terra cotta army approaching.
"The hell?!? Terra Cotta, here? This isn't right..." Ethan said as he started attempting to weave his way through the army. If these things were what he thought they were, there had to be someone pulling the strings.
"It's time to take down this puppeteer!" That was the only thought racing through ethan's mind as he ran towards the forest. He had to stop this, whatever it was.

A group of eight of the soldiers reached to take hold of boy that dared to try and make it through their ranks. They were not as mindless as it seemed. They would let none pass if they could help it. One thing that was hardest to do...was simply running through an armed crowd. As the 8 grabbed at him...more would stop his advance with their spears.
Ethan's attempt would not at all go through without a fight. As these soldiers came after Ethan...others were taking prisoners themselves...trapping them by their feet at first with heavy traps of earth and roots...earth and roots that slowly crept up their bodies to trap them even more. If this continued...who knew what would become of the trapped students...and as each was trapped..the march continued on...all of them eventually heading for the main building.

Ethan was reasonably fit, but even he wouldn't be able to avoid a painful impalement if he stayed around. So he needed to find another way to get to where he needed to go, starting with backpedaling enough so that the boy would have...maybe 60 seconds to analyze his situation.
"Okay Ethan, think. Terra cotta...that's kinda like clay, right? if I could find a hose I might be able to blast them...okay, bad idea. Next theory...get the high ground? If they're anything like zombies they can't jump...sure, let's try that."
With the plan of attack in mind, Ethan went about in climbing the nearest tree, then looking to see where he could make a leap for the next tree, and then the next and the next. It's certainly slow going but assuming these things can only mve in 2 dimensions, it's his best play.

Ethan's plan was sound...but if he was looking for the puppeteer, he should realize that anything of earth was a danger to him. Standing on the trees, the branches of them began to move on their own. In fact, the tree he was standing on suddenly swung back towards the Army that was continuing to march upon the screams of fear and agony of the students that were being captured.
One such was a Ra Girl that was now fully covered save for her face. However around her...formed yet another Terra Cotta Soldier. And that soldier started to march up on the Academy building just as the others continued to. Next to Ethan...A tree near the entrance had uprooted itself...becoming a faceless Trent, acting as a walking tank to break down the doors of the academy.
Unless, Ethan moved...the tree he was standing on would grab him...and carry him along as it too became a trent and marched upon the Main Building.

Alexander was beggining to make his way back from a fruitless search on the mountain when he saw something that could only be the work of the Earth Demon. Beneath him the soldiers and trees had uplifted themselves from the very earth and were making their way towards the academy with frightening speed. He could see tiny red, yellow and blue spots getting caught up in the mess and immediately he realised that these were his fellow students.
With suprising finesse Alexander managed to make his way down the remaining hundred or so metres of the hill, without fulling understanding what he intended to do he continued to make his way to the back of the army of earth. Searching for anything that might give away the position to the demon responsible for the chaos that was currently being ensued. [/size]

It was then that a small man came out from the side of the school and his glassed eyes glinted a little bit. He was tired of these motherf*cking demons in this motherf*cking school. And currently as it stood, the small man had a uchigatana in his hands an a look of steel in his eye. It was then that the 4'0 man started to run.
He had to weild the blade a lot like a nodachi in his small physique, for he had to use the same techniques that a nodachi user used. It was just far too big for him. It was the best defensive and offensive weapon he could think of, and he'd be able to at least hold off some of the Terra Cotta...
It was suicide.
"Irou-kun, ikuzo!" Alan called out sharply as he ran. His blade aimed for one of the terra cotta, before he realized something...
One of the girls had just turned into a terra cotta.
"Shit!" He swore as he pulled back his sword right on time, and then he went to roll onto the stone steps of the academy, keeping his back towards the wall. It was then that he saw the boy in the trees.
"MOVE BOY!" he yelled up to Ethan. How would they get to the Earth demon now... for this clearly was his work...

"Ack!" Ethan said when he noted the tree was moving. He jumped down and managed to land on his feet, although the impact made his shins hurt. No time for that, he had to figure out how to get through the army without being turned into one. So he kept jogging, dodging, hopping and doing whatever the hell he could to not get taken; all the while searching...he had only seen the demon's face once, but if he saw it again, he was sure he'd recognize it. And with that he take a shot.
Frankly it might be the only shot he had.

The Girl cried in fear as she was forced to march by the very earth that covered her body. One of the Trents approached shaking the earth more. It had put a bunch of branches together as a fist, and was preparing to ram the main doors of the Academy with full strength, it was going to smash them down. More and more students were being captured by the Terra Cotta and being changed into unwilling soldiers.
As the boy ran for his life, a sinister laugh like a conquering general could be heard in the courtyard...but the source was no where to be seen...yet. The Ram put itself into position to charge as the way was opened by the Soldiers. The Academy was like a fortress...one that would soon fall to the Earth.
All the while a booming voice that shook the Earth called out....
"Surrender to Lord of the Earth...and you shall be spared!! This is your only chance!!!!"

Ethan heard the crashing against the Academy walls, he didn't care. All that was on his mind right now was getting to the bottom of the pile. Take out the puppet-master, and all the puppets go limp. It was the best shot he had.
"Coward!" Ethan shouted, obviously directed at the voice. "I won't surrender to the likes of you! If you want a piece of me, you're gonna have to do it yourself!"
A warm breeze blew through the courtyard, filled with rage, but also energy. Ethan didn't notice the wind at his back, urging him onward...but maybe a few others did, along with the timid, translucent girl, hiding in a shadowy corner as she summoned another gust of wind.

He spent most of his time deflecting the spears and cursed as one of the spears caught him on the arm. He pulled back nimbly and gripped his arm. Droplets of blood fell to the ground like raindrops upon the steps and one eye squeezed shut in pain. He gripped his sword in both hands however and tried to focus, thinking of how to get the treant to stop banging down the steps.
"What I wouldn't give for Kamon's dynamite." He mumbled to himself. But then he blinked slightly and his eyes widened.
The same elements that Earth had been fighting against... could they be used to combat Earth himself?
But how would they get those elements here? He looked up at the treant and then he narrowed his eyes.
"I need some gasoline, a match and a lot of water... how do I get that..." He murmered quietly.

Kyo was walking back from the forest. He had been practicing dueling against some Slifers in the deep forest, he had won all of them of course. He was getting better. He emerged from the forest and was startled by the sight of a midget, Big-ass trees and a crazy man shouting his name as the earth lord. Now, This isn't the usual thought of thing you see, or maybe it was here at Duel Academy, he;d only been here a few weeks.
He went around the back of the killer big-ass battering ram tree and ran to wards the midget, Maybe the midget was some sort of magician conjuring the trees! Kyo had no idea, but maybe the midget could tell him what was going on.
"Psst!"
Kyo said as a whisper by actually louder than normal speech. He creped slowly behind the midget and whispered into his ear.
"What the fuck is going on? Am I high or are you like 3 foot and there is big-ass trees trying to fuck up Duel Academy?"

Now, it was truly times like these, with the adrenaline pumping and the blood racing, that sometimes Alan forgot his lessons in respect that he had learned from his sister and from the companions that he used to have. A murderous glint appeared in his eye as he looked at Kyo, who was whispering behind him, and he held up his sword.
"It's bad to call a dwarf short when he's holding a sharp sword, you dunce." He hissed wickedly at him and then he saw the spear from the terra cotta out of the corner of his eye, aiming straight for Kyo. He parried with his sword and then grit his teeth.
"Who the bloody hell are you and why the fuck are you not running?" He swore at him. Yes. The British dwarf was a touch out of sorts.

Dwarfs. Big-Ass Trees. Swords. What. The. Fuck. Kyo was kind of surprised when the dwarf turned out to be British but was more surprised when he saw the sword in his hand. This school was either seriously fucked up or there were having some sort of British Dwarf Tree event.
"Umm I'm Kyo Takahasi, My i ask, Why ,mister dwarf, are you using a sword on an island full of students, to fight trees?"
Kyo chuckled a bit as he talked to Alan. He still couldn't believe his eyes. Trees fighting dwarfs, He took his camera phone and snapped a shot of Alan and the three in the background.
"Wow...I will never forget this moment..."

It was at this moment one of the Terra Cotta had come up behind Kyo and went to put a hand on his shoulder the moment he snapped the picture. Even he would not be spared this attack. The Trent prepared it's charge still as it held it's ground. This would be the last chance for anyone to move from the doors before it would ram them as well.
The Soldiers continued capturing people and the earth shook...as if something was approaching considering his demand for surrender was yet to be fully answered....
