Shizuma smiled and looked down at her as she got comfortable.
"I've fallen for you a long time ago, Hathor. You may not know it...but you just claimed my first kiss." said Shizuma with a soft voice and a warming smile as he took hold of a blanket and put it over Hathor to help her relax.
It was only then that he noticed the appearance of Kamon and Yaichi. Turning to them, he stood up and moved to them quietly.
"Hey, you two...what's up?"
"I could ask you that, Shiz. How did you land such a smoking hot b--ITAI!!!!" said Kamon as he got his foot stamped on by Yaichi as he bounded around, and in and out of the room.
"We wanted to inform you that due to the efforts of an old friend, we have defeated the demon of light. Mizuki-san is safe as are the people that the demon defeated before." Said Yaichi with a soft and warm smile as if she had never stomped on Kamon's foot to begin with.

((After the Infirmary thread))
Of course, that old friend would soon inch open the door, quite without invitation nor asking. However, the bespectacled Alan Padmore was currently looking straight up at Kamon and Yaichi's faces, not exactly focusing on the boy at the moment but more on the situation at hand. He still wore his business suit and still looked posh, no matter how one went about it, even if he was only standing four feet tall.
He pushed his spectacles up his nose and looked at Yaichi. "Honestly, why haven't you abandoned this mangy lustful mutt yet? No matter what comes out of his mouth he sounds like a dog in heat." Alan's brown eyes looked at Shizuma with sparkling amusement, and he gave him a wink before looking back at Kamon.
"Glad to see that you're still going strong. And it's wonderful to see you again, my dear Yaichi." he said with a bow towards her in the Japanese style. After all, he was speaking to two of the ten that had taught him everything he knew about life, and about the Japanese culture. "I'm sorry for putting you in the danger I did and for calling upon your assistance so quickly, but I could not stand to see that girl suffer a second longer."

Yaichi returned the bow with the grace that Alan had grown up knowing as she smiled at him.
"He may be as such, Alan-san...but he is still someone I can count on in battle, the same as you, Alan-san. It was an honor to fight for such an worthy cause." said Yaichi as she gave her signature soft smile.
"Damn it, you Shrimp! I am not a dog in heat, I just appreciate a woman's charms!!!" yelled Kamon as he sat down and blew on his foot trying to get the pain away from his foot.
It was at that very moment that Shizuma realized that this man not only dueled with a Six Samurai deck...but he had known his very friends. He walked quietly over to Alan and gave a bow of greeting to him.
"It is a pleasure to meet an old friend of my friends."

"Oh yes. I agree, the allure of a woman's bosom is quite satisfying, but some of us are better at hiding it then you." Alan said with a hint of dark humour and charm behind it. An evil glasses glint was in the air on his face. He looked to Yaichi, and probably would've kissed her hand had she been solid. Instead, he had to be satisfied with laying his hand to his heart and beaming back at her with a very cute smile.
"Thank you, Yaichi, that warms my heart considerably." He looked towards Shizuma and then looked him up and down. "So, he's your new pupil, is he?" Alan asked. He smiled and then held out his hand towards the younger yet taller man.
"My name is Alan Padmore... please, call me Alan, unless we're in a public place." He said to the boy matter-of-factly. In fact, he almost seemed like a slightly more outspoken Irou, to be honest.

"Yes it seems so...it is a pleasure, Alan-san. I am Shizuma Matsuna...it is an honor." said Shizuma as he took his hand.
He studied Alan's interactions with the Samurai and the way he carried himself. It seemed like he was one of the people that would probably get along with Irou the most. Though he wondered why he wouldn't want to call him by his name in a public place? Oh well, for now he wanted to know more about his connection to the Great Shogun's Court.
"Kamon, Yaichi...you never told me you've helped others besides myself." said Shizuma with a smile.
"Well...ya never asked." said Kamon with a grin. "Alan here was actually the last person we've hung around before we met ya."
"Trust me when I say I'm certain that the two of you will get along just fine, Shizu-san. And you might even learn a thing or two from him. Alan-kun...I must ask...how have you been all these years?" asked Yaichi as she looked between her new and her old charge.

"They make it a tradition as time goes by, and come back to the ones that they've left when they need it the most. I haven't had a proper talk with them in years, and I barely ever tap into the connection I have with them in order to better facilitate them helping you. I know that I don't need them, but at the same time, chats like this are nice." Alan pushed his spectacles up his nose and looked towards the beautiful Yaichi.
"I can't complain. I left the pro leagues after you went to help the boy here, but that was because I was offered a position at Kaiba Corp." He smiled faintly. "I think that perhaps an office job is better suiting for me... my bones will quit on me eventually. I got transferred here to Japan and I'm the school's representative... however, I'll be around far more then that, I have to take up the Deck Construction position from Professor Nagano." He looked at Shizuma and nodded. "Hence why I said not to call me Alan in public." He placed his hands behind his back and looked up at the other two samurai in the room... after all... those under the Samurai's direct care were essentially honorary swordsmen themselves.
"Do apologize to Zanji, Mr. Kojiro and Lord Shien for me." He said to them. "I didn't mean to burden them the way I did, and especially Zanji and Kojiro took quite a beating for me... along with Nisashi and Irou, I lost them during the duel and that wasn't pleasant."

"I see...well I shall remember that then, Alan-sensei." said Shizuma as he nodded in understanding.
It was almost nostalgic for the Samurai in the room seeing their charges past and present in the same room. Alan now himself a teacher and Shizuma not only their student...but a student of the world around him.
"I shall apologize to them...well at least Zanji and Grandmaster Kojiro...I haven't seen Lord Shien as of yet." said Shizuma admitting he had never had a proper audience with the Great Shogun himself though he wished to someday. "Believe me, losing any of them is hard to do... but I learned just how deep their friendship runs through their willingness to save one another or the willingness to grant their power to another to do what needs to be done."
"Oh wonderful!" said Yaichi bouncing with excitement...and much to Kamon's delight that she was in her Gi. "I'm so happy for you, Alan-kun. It seems you can teach a thing or two to Shizu-kun after all."
Yaichi was normally a very happy girl and expressed it freely. Something that Alan was sure to remember about her.
"And don't worry about Zanji and Grandmaster Kojiro...I'm sure they understand as do Nisashi and Irou. Oh, I'm sure Irou was happy to see you again, Al-kun." said Yaichi as she changed pet names quickly.

"Ah... you haven't met Lord Shien yet have you? Well... hopefully you will. He's quite a nice fellow, even if practicality commands that he keeps up appearances." He said as he adjusted his glasses again... to have his vision quite bluntly blocked by Yaichi's bosom bouncing up and down straight in front of his eyes. He chuckled quietly.
"Oh... the benefits of being short."
Hopefully no one got that.
He nodded. "Irou didn't get to see me for long, but I was happy to see him again. I must give him a new book when you come back to visit us on Earth." Alan said. "I'm sure he would appreciate some of Ken Follett's works, even if they are fiction... after all they're historical fiction." He commented. "A Dangerous Fortune is quite a nice read." He pondered and then smiled faintly.
"I suppose I could teach him Yaichi, but you'll always be the best teachers for him... I'm not one of the Court anymore, I don' t know what's been going on in the Court." He said graciously... although, with his history with the Six Samurai, upon his death he would most likely be welcomed into the Court.

"I look forward to that day, Alan. You've always had good taste in books." said Irou as he appeared with a bow.
Irou was dressed in his samurai gi along with his trademark old style glasses. He was happy to see his old charge again, it was something that showed in his slight smile. As he stood, he had heard something that Alan had said before he fully appeared and decided to remind him of something that they had all told him the day that he had grown to a point he did not need them anymore.
"You forget one important thing Alan...Though we are not your partners as we were in the past. You are always a member of the Court." said Irou.
"Though it seems that you have a few things to be caught up on, Alan-san. For instance the Samurai are not the only warriors under the employ of the Great Shogun anymore." said Shizuma as he went and offered a chair for Alan to sit.
It was only proper to offer such to a guest.

"Oh REALLY now?" Alan asked, his eyes sparkling a little as he took this seat. Because of his height he had to hoist himself onto the seat and now his legs were hanging over the edge. He honestly looked quite happy with himself with Irou around. Irou had been one of his closest friends when he had been growing up, and he felt quite at peace now that he was speaking with him again.
He leaned to gaze at Shizuma through his spectacles as if he were studying the boy. For such a young man, he seemed to take more after Zanji then the others... He was sensible, yet he almost seemed naive after a fashion. But Zanji was the closest comparison that he could make. He drummed his fingers on his knee, and couldn't help but think back to the mention that he would always be a member of the Court... And inside, his heart beamed.
"Do tell. I think I have a few minutes to hear about this before I check on the others." He said to the younger man.

"Well, at this point, the Great Shogun has conscripted at least two new forces. One are Shien's Warriors of the Shadows...the Six Shadows. And the other I know of are Shien's Warriors of the Seas...the Six Kaizoku." said Shizuma with a grin.
He wondered how much more interested Alan would be in the courts development...however it was also time for the present Samurai to chime in.
"A man named Ryukage leads the Six Shadows into battle." said Irou as he looked at Alan
"And the Kaizoku are lead by Kaito." said Yaichi with a smile. "They battle upon the waves with their magnificent ship the Yume no Tsukikai. While the Shadows, fight as true ninjas with great mystique and trickery!"

"Oh really... interesting notion, that Lord Shien is expanding his horizons. He seems to be developing a small army in his hands." Alan mused as he sat where he was, his eyes starting to narrow in thought. "I wonder if he knows something we don't." He mused. But then he looked up at the samurai and then at Shizuma, then back to the samurai.
"Ah well, I'll place my trust in him. But as lovely as it is to see you again Yaichi, Irou...." He looked at Kamon and narrowed his eyes, "Horn Dog." He looked at Hathor quickly after this to conceal his grin and to not see Kamon's protesting. "I came here to check on the students... presumably you're alright Shizuma... how's the girl?"

"She's okay for now...she's having issues with her eyes being light sensitive. But she should be okay after her eyes finally re-adjust back to normal. Right now she sleeping...she's been through a lot." said Shizuma his eyes turning to Hathor's sleeping form.
He knew that Hathor was exhausted and that she would need time to heal. He just hoped that she would be able to recover comfortably and presumably soon.

"I've heard... I was originally here to launch an investigation about what happened in the shadow sciences class and the lockdown that Professor Morrison initiated... my understanding is that you were on the class roster for that class incident?" Alan asked matter-of-factly. Unfortunately, he couldn't let an oppurtuinity like this slip, and hopefully Shizuma would trust him since he was one of the Six Samurai's Court, like himself. He looked at Shizuma with kindly yet firm eyes, as if he did not intend to take any funny business from the boy.
As he did, he saw Hathor turn over out of the corner of his eye and his eyes automatically flickered to her sleeping form. At least she was able to move. He did not doubt Shizuma's integrity however he still had his uncertainties about the girl's condition. He let his eyes slide back to Shizuma and he clasped his hands in front of his mouth.

"Yes I was...truth be told I wasn't exactly looking for such a demonstration of Shadow Magic when I first walked in. What would you like to know about it?" said Shizuma as he looked at Alan.
He did trust another of Court's students as he himself was one. Shizuma knew that the Samurai tended to select good individuals to follow. Each of them probably wanting to strive to be as great as they are both in deed and in moral. As he looked at Hathor, he too saw the turn over and hoped she was okay. He then turned back towards the professor and wondered what details he wanted.
