Haruna slowly walked into the classroom, sighing lightly as she'd taken a seat at her desk. The classroom was currently empty. The sunlight seemed to light up quite a bit of the room, so she wouldn't have to waste any electricity, at least. She'd blinked a few times as she'd leaned back in her chair and she'd thought about teaching a class of kids who were pretty close to her age. It was oddly nerve-wracking. In a few moments, it would be her first day of class. Students would flood the seats and she'd need to teach them. Well, it shouldn't have been too hard right? She'd gotten up and started writing her name on the board.

DJ hurried into class, a pile of books in his hands, some of which weren't even for this class and looked like they had been grabbed hastily. He had rushed to get ready to give himself plenty of time to get there, even if he got lost, which he thankfully didn't this time. He didn't want a repeat performance of what happened during his first Shadow Sciences class, he got enough grief for that as it was. He doubled over, panting lightly from having run halfway across the school to get her on time or early. He set his books down somewhere towards the middle-front of the room and looked up at the teacher, blushing when he saw her.
Normally teachers for these kinds of classes were... older and less... pretty, so he was surprised to see someone who looked like she could be his older sister instead of someone who looked like she could be his elderly aunt. "G-Good day professor." He smiled lightly, calming down as not to make more of a fool of himself from his entrance (if that were possible). He sat down quietly and sighed, trying to think of what he had to do so far for this school year, it was already looking busy and confusing, just thinking about it made his head spin.
These thoughts made him wonder what he would have to expect from this class, he hoped it wouldn't be too extreme. Younger teachers tended to be flexible and fairly reasonable so he had hopes for this class, plus he had experience with deck building. Granted he wasn't the greatest at it, but at least he would have some clue what they were talking about unlike some of his other classes.

Issy wandered through the corridors, hoping to make it to her class on time. She thought that she knew the way, though it was also equally as likely that she had managed to get herself lost, and she would end up in the wrong class, an empty class, or somehow back outside. She had been following someone else, hoping they knew where to go, but she had managed to lose them, and was now aimlessly wandering in a random direction, without knowing where she was really going, though she had some sort of gut instinct that she happened to be going in the correct direction, which felt quite good, just as long as she didn’t managed to be completely wrong.
She turned another corner, seeing a door, that was her class. Hurrying her pace, she half ran through the doors, looking around. Just one person, and a young teacher, was that a young teacher, or another student. Wait, she was early! Issy smiled a little bit to herself, somehow she had managed to arrive before most of the class. She looked around, almost cluelessly, she had never really been that early before, what did she do, what was she meant to do, she didn’t really know.

Already she felt that she was going to be feeling the strain from five classes at once. She was pondering whether or not she should drop a few. But no, she had to keep going on with it. She wanted her education done as quickly as possible so that she could move on to her further goals. She didn't quite know what those further goals were yet but she was sure that she'd figure out as she went through. Cramming herself with homework seemed like a good idea in the meantime.
She walked in with her bag and immediately went to sit off into the corner. She didn't think that she would take the chance of tripping over seats again. The meek little child sat in the front right hand corner and took out her books, her pencil case, and other essentials while she retrieved her Shadow Sciences workbook and started reading over her notes. She pushed her huge, thick glasses up her nose and made sure to make her bangs cover her face so that she wouldn't have to look at anyone.
She scrawled in her quite strained and messy scrawl on her notebook and then flipped open her textbook for a reference. The tiny, scrawny girl looked even tinier with hunched shoulders and a sense of wanting to hide. She didn't like people. She doubted she had even really made friends at this school as of yet. All of them were nice in the beginning but most left her be after they realized how shy and meek she was. And if that wasn't the thing that got them, her overbearing logic in every situation would. Children didn't want logic. They wanted empathy.
She kept scrawling on the page, taking notes ahead in her textbook, while she waited for Shizuoka's class to start.

Richard walked slowly down the hall, scanning each classroom with his eyes looking for the one that he class was in. Man, I should have explored the school earlier, then i would know where to go.. Richard quickly made a mental note, after his classes he would walk around the school so he wouldn't be lost again. Glancing at the time he spend up into a quick jog and soon was in almost an all out sprint. Narrowly dodging students he ran down the halls, looking over his shoulder he saw the classroom and quickly skidded to a halt and turned around reaching for the door as if it was walking away.
Richard stopped at the doorway and caught his breath, while doing so he looked around the classroom, there weren't that many students yet. Richard quietly scolded himself for thinking he would be late.
He tried looking for the professor and assumed he, or she, was not there yet. Richard looked at what he thought was an older student behind the professor's desk. Wait why is student behind the profess..... Is she the instructor to this class? Richard thought it best to not ask to avoid embarrassment and quickly found his way to the rear of the class. He had never been in a formal classroom and wasn't exactly sure how to act. However he thought it best to wait and see, taking a seat to watch the rest of the class.

Post by Matt Hirama on Sept 29, 2009 9:27:57 GMT -5
It was a pretty lively morning in the halls of duel academy, what with all the students going to and from their classes. It made Matt realize how much he wouldn't miss trying to navigate through these halls without bumping into someone and piss them off. At least by now he had gotten pretty good at it. Even now, he has made his way to his deck construction class, he was taking cards out of his duel disks graveyard, paying only half a mind to the others passing by him. He had just gotten out of a duel with another student, which had been a quick duel. Although he won, he still couldn't help but dislike the swarming capabilities of the Blackwings.
As he walked into the class, he had just finished retrieving his deck from his disk. Only after putting his disk back into his bag and his deck back into it's holder, he looked up to make sure he had entered the right classroom. Sure enough, on the board ahead of him, he saw the Professor's name and class on the board. Moving his gaze downward, he saw the Professor. Though he hid his surprise behind a weary face, he couldn't help but take notice that the female was only four or 5 years older than he was. Not to mention her looks; Was there a model teaching their class or something? Oh well. Matt preferred eye candy to creepy old guys any day.
"Morning Professor." Matt said. Was it still morning? Matt didn't know, but it was what he was most used to saying to Professors when he entered a classroom for class. That, and he had lost track of time during his duel earlier, which he tended to do a lot unless he had something important planned. He took his seat near a window and began his usual staring out of said window. He usually stared out a window before every class, there usually was nothing better to do seeing as portable game systems were prohibited during the school day. He'd at least pay attention when class started.

Craig walked into the room silently. He made a quick look around at the people in there; a young woman, two obelisks (three if he counted himself, which he didn't), and three ras. Nothing impressive. Only thing that was out of place was the young teacher. He wasn't sure what to make of her. His first impression of her was 'new'. The others in the room didn't get anything near as 'generous' of a first impression from Craig.
Craig sat in the middle seat in the middle row of the middle column. He unlike his classmates had had no trouble finding the class. He had scoped out all of his class locations ahead of time.

Silent as a stone, eyes gazing over everyone, Leon entered. His new style of dress would be strange for some, most people from his previous class the other day wouldn't recognize him. Long white Trench coat and short black hair, he slowly strode into the room, hands under his cloak, on his two Kodachii hanging at his waist, under the coat. He shrugged and looked around, rolling his shoulders, then took a seat at the back.

Post by Emma Gale on Sept 29, 2009 19:29:21 GMT -5
Emma entered the classroom, but the difference between this class and the last was that she was actually on time. As neither the professor nor the students of this class interests her for the moment, she just calmly ignored everyone in sight and proceeded, again, to the back to the classroom. Before she sat down though, she went did a minor adjustment to her Obelisk Blue uniform out of habit.
Now that she had a seat, it was time to look at the uninteresting people that surround her. It doesn't seem like that the back of the classroom is a popular spot among the students, which of course, means that Emma is going to keep sitting in the back. After a moment of observing the students, she finally took a glance at the teacher and thought to herself, 'This is a prof? Wonder if she knows what she is going... ah well, only time will tell.' She then let out a sly smile and muttered quietly to herself, "Well, this should be entertaining either way."

Post by Amelia Force on Sept 29, 2009 19:46:53 GMT -5
Amelia was the next person to enter the classroom, wearing a Ra Yellow uniform. There was no point in letting the others know that the headmistress was currently in attendance. Well, she does look other than most of the other students, but as long as she doesn't stand out too much, she doubt that she would catch anyone's attention. Since she has an obligation to keep the standards of the teachers, she decided to randomly pay them some visits; and this week, Ms. Shizuoka is the random pick of the week. Without making a noise, she picked a seat near the middle right of the room and awaits the class to begin.

Haruna watched as each of the students entered with some offering her a greeting. She'd merely given a passive wave and nod in return and kept her eyes on the entering students, observing them. The first student to enter, a Ra, seemed to be the type who would participate in class, but certainly wasn't the smartest of the bunch. The next to enter was another of the yellow students. However, she seemed confused and hadn't taken a seat. She'd ignored the girl once the next few students came in. A third Ra. She'd seemed to be the bookworm that was silent. Perhaps Haruna could do something about these students when the time came.
As if by some form of coincidence, the next three students to arrive were Obelisk Students. All male. And she wouldn't be surprised if the students were surprised with her youth. There was also the fact that one had greeted her. She'd done the same procedure of a nod and wave before leaning forwards on her desk. She'd promptly turned her eyes back to the door to see a Slifer, an Obelisk, and a Ra enter in that order. Of course, the Slifer stood out most with the fact that there was a weapon at his side. She'd merely shaken her head and returned to her observations. The Obelisk didn't seem too odd. And the Ra... well, she certainly had an air about her that was more elegant and sophisticated than a student. Someone more wise. Haruna had a sneaking suspicion on who it was, but she couldn't be sure. She'd have to wait and find out.
Picking up her attendance list, she'd checked and and counted the students. 9 of them out of 12 were present. Only 8 if her suspicions were correct. She'd contemplated waiting for the last of them and decided that they had 3 minutes left to enter the room. And that would be when the class would begin.

Rika slipped in finally, about two minutes before she was doomed, panting, she obviously had sprinted to class. It wasn't like her to be late, unless she had gotten lost.. which was what had happened, she liked being early and on time.
She walked in silently and sat in what she thought would be quietess, emptiest and closest away from the others.

Wing should have been in class way sooner than now, but she did get lost and wandered aimlessly for around ten minutes before finally finding the classroom. Sighing in relief that she actually made it in time, she hastily took a seat, and mentally prepared herself for the lesson that's coming up.

Post by Marvelo Namaguchi on Sept 30, 2009 15:56:50 GMT -5
Another class but today would be a joy to go to. Deck Construction was something Marvelo took much pride on. It was the center of all dueling. Whether if you packed cards with the best abilities, unless you strategized perfectly with defense, speed, and effective moves then your deck was just a downgrade. Needless to say he was not a perfection at this art yet and so class was a necessity.
Walking into the class, Marvelo was shocked to find the class mostly already filled. Quite surprisingly to say the least as he was only a few minutes away from being late. People were straightforward when it came to attendance. Shuffling a random deck in his hand, he looked around for a seat. People were scattered everywhere but even in the mix you could notice that people sat mostly by people in their house. Separation was power wasn't it?
Marvelo walked down the rows looking at where each person was. He frowned upon seeing each row. Not much to pick from and no one really stood out. Turning back to see the back row he noticed a familiar face with a different look. No red hair? No joking smirk? Had he gone through a mental change? Marvelo chuckled at the thought and turned around. Going down another two rows, Marvelo went down the row that Matt was on. He didn't look at him or even sit too close but took his seat upon the row. Taking the deck shoving it in his duel disk, Marvelo laid back to wait for this to start.

Will rushed down the hall to get to his class. How could he have forgotten? Oh well, that was in the past. The point was now to get to class, which he had to skid to a stop so he could adjust himself.
After he was ready, walked in in his same look, and sighed. Mizuki was in this class too, that was alright. He proceeded to walk past her and claim a seat at the back of the class, himself not removing the hood and glasses that obscured his face. With that, he looked up, the same depressed but solumn look on his face, and waited for the teacher.
