Today was one of those cold, winter days. The outside air was brisk. Most people would either wear something to keep them warm. Others would just not bother coming outside at all. The rest were either foolish or adept to the cold and wore nothing warm.
Evan sat on the park bench. He had sported his usual pair of high topped running sneakers. He was wearing a pair of blue denim jeans, but now had a red t-shirt on. This t-shirt was underneath a red sweater. Over this sweater was an insulated denim jacket. He had also worn a pair of gloves over his hands. Even though this wouldn't be enough for most people, Evan would be able to survive easily in this outfit.
Tomorrow, he would go back to Duel Academia. He decided to make his little break a quick one. He was just going to look around Domino. He was now old enough to be able to explore the city almost as he pleased. He had seen Masami at the Card Shop. And he had checked in on Hibana Kazan at the hospital. Now he would just admire nature for now. Besides, an important question was about where he'd stay.
Luckily his parents let him stay at their house. He thought they'd be pissed that there youngest son would have so recklessly dueled a fire demon with his life on the line. But they were actually PROUD of him. They had heard everything that had happened from the staff. And they weren't angry with him at all. They knew he didn't break the rules at all before it became a life or death situation.
The duel disk memory card provided footage of his dueling. When they had gotten the call from Nagato-sensei, they had asked for the footage. When it was emailed to them, they were actually very proud of it. The welcome home Evan received was surprisingly warm from them. Though they weren't cold or neglectful parents by any means, he didn't expect happiness.
Evan was sitting on the bench at the park. He was smiling, happy that things didn't go so badly. Right now, he would admire the nature around him. The winter environment was just as beautiful as spring or summer. His headset was slung around his shoulders, waiting to be used.

It was the sort of day which few people generally wanted to be out in. Not because the weather was particularly horrible, but it happened that it was rather cold, cold enough to keep most people back in their houses, and nice and warm. Therefore it had even come as a surprise to Kiara that she found herself outside, having wrapped herself up as tightly as was possible, with a couple of jumpers covering up her top, and still she did feel slightly chilly. But then again, she did like the fresh air to a certain degree, and considering that she was only one of a very few people to have braved the cold much she had taken the opportunity to go and buy herself some new clothes, something which was somewhat of turning into a hobby of sorts for her, just about whenever she managed to find some sufficient money to be able to afford it.
It was one of the problems of not being able to find a job just yet, she just didn’t seem to be able to find anywhere which would be willing to take her on to work. Of course it was difficult to properly look, because she didn’t really work too well with talking and asking about jobs, so she was struggling slightly to say the least on that front.
Having Purged those thoughts from her mind, and having run out of what money she had actually had, Kiara was now taking a walk through the park, she just wanted to continue to walk really. A few bags where clutched in her right hand rather tightly, the cold making her keep them a lot tighter than she would otherwise prefer to, or just naturally grip them, she just wanted to try and keep some heat in her hands. Passing several benches, nothing much registered on her mind quickly, then somehow, and she wasn’t really to sure how it happened, she slipped, her legs lying forwards as the rest of her body made for the ground rather quickly. It hadn’t really hurt that much, but it was more the whole shock of it that meant she wasn’t getting up right away, the shock sort of pinning her down.

As Evan was relaxing, he had noticed a woman stroll through the park. She had some shopping bags in her hands. Apparently she was taking a break from shopping. Despite the cold, she was one of those who would brave it. This was evident from her just walking through the park.
Soon after he noticed her, she had slipped. Though the fall wouldn't be so damaging, the shock would still pin someone down. Either way, the woman had fallen. So naturally, Evan would offer his help to her. Hopefully this didn't turn out to be a situation like with Rubicante. But then again, she didn't seem like a hostess at all.
Evan had gotten up from the bench seat. He then made a quick dash towards the woman. However, this dash was rather well controlled. When he reached her, he had knelt to her. He then proceeded to help her up. While most would just extend a hand, Evan would rather be safe. He had actually offered to help her off the ground. He had asked, "You alright, miss?"

It didn’t feel like she had been lying on the ground for all too long, only maybe a couple of millisecond at the most in Kiara’s mind when it appeared that someone was offering to help her up, no-one could really run that quickly, could they? She didn’t think so, but maybe in her head time had managed to speed up of something of that like. That was the most suitable answer for her to grasp at that moment, so Kiara went with it, not that it actually made too much difference overall, actually it didn’t really matter at all.
A hand was being offered to help her up, and she had been asked if she was ok. ”I..i..i think so.” She mumbled, her voice not coming across as overly quite, but to an extent it seemed to have a sort of shyness around it, something which came across in Kiara’s voice most of the time really. ”It….it was just a little shock I think.” She said, as she used the hand to pulled herself up, before standing up fully, and pushing her hair back as to not cover her eyes, and pick up her bags. With that done, she was sort of a little nervous for some reason, something she couldn’t quite work out, maybe because she was actually talking to someone properly, if you could call three or four words talking, it was just something she probably wouldn’t be able to figure out really.

The woman wasn't hurt too badly. That was a good thing to hear. However, it still sucked to have fallen like that. Evan knew the pain of falls, he's had to deal with falls many times. However, she was a lucky one, as this one wasn't so bad.
As she grabbed his hand, Evan pulled accordingly. However, the woman seemed shy. Maybe something happened to her before? Maybe she was just a nervous person in general. Maybe he should let her on her way. But Evan wanted to be safe in his own special way. "Miss, you alright?", he asked with a curious and concerned tone.

Kiara was pulled up back onto her feet rather quickly, managing to thankfully keep her balance this time. She didn’t want to just fall over right again, especially since her nerves where distinctly up on falling again; which of course meant she felt like she was for more likely to fall in the process as well, somehow it seemed harder to do things when she actually thought about them properly. ”I…I’m fine, I’m sure I’ll be fine.”
”It was just a small fall, just a little bit of a shock.” Her voice continued to come out as seeming to be quite shy, and slightly quieter than it had been previously. She blushed slightly for some unknown reason, most likely because in her mind she still wasn’t too sure about why she was speaking anymore, and why she hadn’t managed to excuse herself for some reason or another.

Evan had listened to the woman. Indeed she was fine, and it was mostly shock. However, she seemed rather shy. Maybe it would be a good idea to let her go on her way. After all, he'd rather not cause anymore problems than he already has.
"Well, good to hear that you aren't hurt. But I suppose you have things to do. I'd rather not hold you up too much." After this, he took a seat on the bench once again.
((Sorry about the short post))

Kiara nodded her head slightly, after Evan had spoken to her, but not actually moving anywhere. As much as she was shy of staying where she was, she didn’t have anywhere she would actually go, aside from her home, and that was quite a boring place for her to want to go back to now, or it felt that way at the very least, she would much rather actually stay outside for a while, even if it was cold, it was better than doing absolutely nothing. ”Actually I was kinda finished myself, just taking a little break before going home.” Kiara found herself saying, before going slightly red in her own disbelief for speaking at all.
”My name’s Kiara anyway.” She mumbled afterwards, her voice returning to a quiet and shy, comfortable volume for her. It was the natural level of her voice, and she liked it slightly quiet, it sounded to her to be softer on ears.

As Evan took a seat on the bench, he listened to what the woman had to say. Despite her obvious shyness, she had continued talking to him anyway. Unlike some people, Evan wasn't the type to sway away from others. He had no problem talking to her, it was just that he could feel the shyness in her voice and expression.
Then she gave him her name. Kiara was the woman's name. With a kind smile and tone, Evan replied. "I'm Evan, nice to meet you." He would offer her a spot next to him, but he'd rather not scare her off. Instead, he left a spot open for her. This would be there if she wanted to take a seat on the bench with him.

Kiara gave a rather slight smile when Evan answered with his own name. ”Uh, yeah nice to meet you too I guess.” And with that she went back to returning to her silent form, the one which she felt like she was most comfortable with. Of course leaving everything so quiet wasn’t nearly as nice as she would like it, which actually seemed to be the only thing which was presently wrong with the conversation, or lack of. She looked at Evan, smiling a little bit, before realising that he had left a gap on the bench.
Did that mean she was meant to sit down? Wow she really hated not having too many skilling in actually being able to read people properly. Should she sit down then? Probably, it seemed like what she wanted to do, plus she would be able to rest her legs after walking for so long. So, with a certain level of nervousness, she sat down on the bench, dropping her bags to her sides, feeling perhaps a little bit more awkward now, what was she meant to do now? It was a little confusing for someone such as her, with little to no real skills with understanding other people. All she could do now was feel slightly awkward.
And it was exactly that which made her try and talk again, try and get something understandable out of her mouth. ”I…err, so what do you actually do?” She asked, after a rather small, or she hoped that it was small, nervous fluster of her words, as they scrambled on the way out of her mouth, creating something which she didn’t completely understand herself.
