Scarmilogne appeared in the forest in a clearing. Around him stood Trents and Terra Cotta. He set this place up as a fortress as he awaited his opponent. These humans would provide him entertainment...or they would pay the price.
He sat on a throne of stone and on his arm was a duel disk that looked almost like a stone club axe.
"Come Humans...give me your champion..."

Marvelo made his entry into the Earth Demon's domain. Everything appeared to be on him now didn't it. How unfortunate in a sense. Marvelo hated the idea of people looking upon him as a hero. Maybe...no one would ever find out. He did want to be known for this victory, if it came, but he also didn't. It was hard to deal with but it wasn't the main focus.
His duel disk, with proper deck already placed, was firmly kept on his arm. Seeing the demon he stopped in the clearing and looked towards him. The duel disk present was more than enough to answer the demon's question without words. Marvelo held it up to show him just in case. Rallis resided on his shoulder awaiting the action to begin.
The fate of Duel Academy! It all started here...

"Excellent...now you might satisfy my boredom." said Scar as he stood up and the throne shattered as he stood at the proper distance. "Come human...show me how much you have brought to fight me."
Scar initiated his powers...and a swirl of sand started to move around both of their feet...it wouldn't disrupt play...but locked them both in a shadow duel.

Marvelo activated his duel disk. Rallis sprung out her winds and turned into light, returning to the deck. He drew his cards silently and thought about his play.
"Boredom?" Marvelo finally question. "We'll see who's bored at the end of this battle. I'll summon Doomcalibur Knight (1900/1800) in attack position. Then activate the spell card Burden of the Mighty. Let's see what you have...Earth." 8000 Monster(s): Doomcalibur Knight S/T: Burden of the Mighty Graveyard: RFP: Hand: 4

Earth grinned as he drew...this boy had a cocky nature...he would wipe the smirk off his face. Taking his card he decided on something simple.
"I'll first get rid of your Burden with Heavy Storm...after that I'll summon Cactus Fighter...crash him into your Knight...and destroy them both. You get a Needle Token...but then I shall set two cards face down and end my turn boy."

Marvelo drew his card.
"First I'll activate Heavy Storm to tarnish your backfield."
The Storm blasted up the cards but the demon activated Ivy Shackles. He drew a card but Ivy Shackles and Solemn Judgment were then sent to the graveyard.
"Now prepare for this. I'll summon Armageddon Knight and send Dark Simorgh to the graveyard. Then I'll remove Mist Valley Soldier and Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind to special summon Dark Simorgh from my graveyard. Armageddon Knight and Dark Simorgh will attack you directly. And before I end, here's a shocker. You can't set any cards while Simorgh is on the field." 8000 Monsters: Needle Token/def (500/500), Armageddon Knight (1400/1200), Dark Simorgh (2700/1000) S/T: Graveyard: Burden of the Might, Doomcalibur Knight, Heavy Storm RFP: Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind, Mist Valley Soldier Hand: 1

"Such and annoying bird...reminds me too much of that twit Barbariccia." said Scar as he drew.
He grinned as he saw his hand and took his shot.
"I'll summon Lonefire Blossom...and from here I'll release it to call forth Tytannial, Princess of Camelias. Now then...I'll destroy your bird...attack Dark Simorgh, Tytannial!"
The princess then threw out a storm of pedals and destroyed the dark bird. He then set a card.
"Go...and be careful now..." said Scar with a grin.

Alexander had been waiting for this moment since the challenge was made, he had been curious as to see whom the academy would choose as their "champion" and he was certainly suprised to see that it was one of those he had seen from the mounatin. More importantly however he was anxious to know just how the duel would turn out and wether or not the demon would go through with his threats of complete destruction.
He stood a few metres away from the duel itself, trying to analyse exactly what could go wrong for what he had assinged as the good side, but the cards Marvelo were using were ones he was unfamiliar with. He could associate much easier with those of the Earth Demon and so he turned his attention to that side of the field. Seeking any possible weaknesses to exploit should the time come.

Careful? This demon had jokes of his own. Maybe he wouldn't be as bored as he thought he would.
Marvelo drew his card and activated it.
"I'll turn Armageddon Knight to defense mode and activate Burden of the Mighty. Seems you turned things around. Of course...not for long." 7900 Monsters: Needle Token/def (500/500), Armageddon Knight/def (1400/1200) S/T: Burden of the Mighty Graveyard: Burden of the Mighty, Doomcalibur Knight, Heavy Storm, Dark Simorgh RFP: Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind, Mist Valley Soldier Hand: 1

Scar drew his card and grinned...this boy was cocky...so amusing.
"Alright boy...I'll reveal my facedown and destroy your Burden of the Mighty. From here I'll summon Lord Poison and have both him and Tytannial destroy your only defenses." said Scar. "Now...let's see what you do."

Marvelo drew his card. Anything at this time would be grand. But he also knew anything he drew could be used later. He had gotten past the initial front. Everything else was just study time.
"For an Earth Demon you sure are more aggressive," Marvelo joked. "I'd expect moves like this. But hey...I'm not mad. More entertainment from your boredom."
Marvelo simply a set a monster in defense mode and ended this turn. 7900 Monsters: 1 f/d S/T: Graveyard: Burden of the Mighty, Doomcalibur Knight, Heavy Storm, Dark Simorgh, Armageddon Knight RFP: Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind, Mist Valley Soldier, Hand: 1

Scar drew his card and grinned as he drew his card. He would take some of that smirk off of his face.
"Now, I'll attack your facedown with Lord Poison!"
Lord Poison's thorns struck down the Mist Valley Shaman...after that Marv's field was open..
"Now my Princess attack him directly!"
The pedal storm then struck Marvelo...and now that his life points slipped past 6000...the sand was starting to soldify over Marvelo...he was being slowly turned to stone...it had crept up to his mid thighs freezing his legs in place.
"You will be a trophy...once I finish you..."

Marvelo smirked as his legs were stoned, literally. He was worth the time to be a trophy. How noble.
"Geez," Marvelo stated. "I didn't think you'd like me that much."
Drawing his card, Marvelo sighed. Things were going good but he needed time. He removed Armageddon Knight and the Mist Valley Shaman in his graveyard to special summon Dark Simorgh from his hand. He knew it wasn't much but it would last. He directly his finger towards the facedown and the attack came quickly. Copy Plant was then destroyed. He waved his hand ending his turn. 5100 Monsters: Dark Simorgh S/T: Graveyard: Burden of the Mighty, Doomcalibur Knight, Heavy Storm, Dark Simorgh, RFP: Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind, Mist Valley Soldier, Armageddon Knight, Mist Valley Shaman Hand: 1

He grinned...this boy was going to fall...and he would make sure of it. Taking his card...now was the time to make an example of this boy.
"Now...you will begin to face your demise. I attack your Simorgh and destroy him with my Princess...then Lord Poison will drain 1500 more of your life points!"
The two monsters attacked and at that moment Marvelo's points dropped to 3500 and now the sand made his body up to the top of his abdomen become solid stone.
"Where is that snide smile now boy?" said Scar as he slid in another facedown on his field

Marvelo drew his card. It was perfect and just what he needed. He quickly activated it.
"I'll activate Burden of the Mighty and summon Rallis the Star Bird," Marvelo said as the Rallis made her stance and approach to the field. "Now attack Tytannial Rallis." The star on Rallis necklace glowed as power was drained from Tytannial and powered her. As she went to take in the strike a trap was activated from the Demon. The words "No" slipped in a whisper as Marvelo watched Rallis be destroyed by the Wall. He heard the laughs from the Demon. There wasn't anything he could do now. He wasn't powerful enough. All he could do was wave his arm to end his turn and await his fate. There was still a chance he could survive but it was small.
That chance ended as the Demon summoned Copy Plant to the field. It copied Lord Poison's level and they synchro summoned to make Stardust Dragon. The numbers calculated in Marvelo's head. Even with Burden of the Mighty he was 200 life points short of survival. The attacks came swift and pianful. Rallis escaped the deck as Marvelo's body was covered in stone. His pose at ease. Him simply looking down at his deck, stopped just before he could look up to the demon.
Rallis flew off to find someone to come help. Scar couldn't win.
