Zephrus, the man who had helped Robert in his time of need. He helped Robert realize that the Gladial Beasts weren't going to turn him into a monster. It was just that strong spirits inhabit the deck. Thanks to Zephyrus, he was becoming able to satisfy the desires of the deck.
However, this did not explain the dreams of him turning into a blood thirsty tyrant. Oh well, at this point they stopped. Hopefully they wouldn't end up coming true. However, the spiritual presence of the deck was still very strong. But now that he had worked over the deck over a little bit, it was manageable.
He was used to duel spirits, even had two partners already. Ojama Red and Ojama Blue were his current partners, and they could sense the spirits of the deck. However, they couldn't figure out the identities of the spirits. In good time, they will reveal themselves. But for now, they would remain hidden, waiting for a good moment to reveal themselves.
Currently, Robert was in the old arena. This was the area where he dueled Emma for the second time. This is also where he earned his first date. However, this time he came here to see if it would resolve anything with his deck. Gladiators were a breed of Roman arena fighters. So it would be possible that the Gladiator Beasts would feel welcome in the arena.

Matt had been on his way to the dorm after visiting the city, after his short meeting with Vahn, when he had gotten an e-mail from Robert about a re-match. He had thought to refuse for now, but another part of him said to get it out of the way and have room to focus on the more important things afterward. And thus, he found himself at an old arena in the forest. He had known it was here before, but he had never explored it before. Still, it did not stop him from finding his way to the ring. He immediately located Robert and retrieved his new, battle city model duel disc from his belt.
"Let's get this over with. I have important business to attend to." Matt said. His thoughts were obvious anywhere but in the arena, and the bangs of his hair still shadowed his eyes. The old deck he had with him was one that he had built a few weeks ago, and it would soon be no more. The deck was too reminiscent of Vahn's lessons to keep since Matt had vowed to grow past his mentor's teachings. His duel disk activated and he drew his beginning cards as he waited for Robert to take his place and start the duel.

Matt had arrived, huh? He seemed to have been in a hurry, so Robert would make this quick. With a nod, Robert pulled the Ji Feng MK II from his belt. Instead of carrying it in a bag, he carried it on a holster hanging from his hip. He then slid his main deck, the Gladial Beasts into the slot. The holographic wing emitting from the duel disk had a more realistic look to it.
It was as if the Gladial Beast deck gave the wing a grander hologram than his Ojama Country deck. And with a better understanding of his deck, he would now be able to use it.

((IM duel - Robert won))
Matt shut his duel disk down almost as soon as the duel had finished. Normally, he'd congratulate his opponent for the victory and stay and talk a while, but recent events had taken his mind to other things. After retrieving his deck and putting it and his duel disk back on his belt, Matt nodded to Robert. There wasn't much to say before he would leave. He had been silent through most of the duel, not speaking a word even when he had made his moves.
"Give me a call if you want to duel again." Matt said, his voice distant and quiet. Perhaps Robert would take it as poor sportsmanship, but in truth, Matt was unsure of what he was going to do. Would he risk everything to protect others, or be like Vahn in ignoring the troubles and worry only about himself? It was a difficult decision for him, and he was having trouble finding the answer within his own mind.
With only a nod, Matt left the arena and continued his trek to his dorm room. He had things he needed to do, like building a new deck and find out whether or not he would fight to ward off the evil's facing the island.
