Alichino nodded as she glared into his eyes. She would put out that defiant fire! This boy would be withering in front of her before the duel was through! She quickly drew her cards as the boy began to start his turn. When he ended his turn, Alichino spat. '' What an ugly horse.. '' she muttered. '' I'll play Charge of the Light Brigade! ''
The light demon quickly sent three cards from the top of her deck to her graveyard. Wulf, Lightsworn Beast, Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress, and Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior. '' I'll activate Wulf's Effect and Special Summon him to the field! '' she explained as she summoned the Hairy Warrior. '' Now then, I'll summon Jain, Lightsworn Paladin, and have her attack you're Horse! ''
Jain attacked the Rune Beast - Grane, only to be negated by a card on the field. Alichino frowned as her battle phase ended. '' I'll play one face down and end my turn.. '' she hissed as she ended her turn. ------ Life Points: 8000 Monsters Zone: - Wulf, Lightsworn Warrior (Attack), Jain, Lightsworn Paladin (Attack) Spell and Trap Zone: - 1 Face-Downs Cards in Hand: 4 Cards Graveyard: 3, Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress/Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior, Charge of the Light Brigade

There was just something so satisfying about watching someone else's monster come slamming into a semi-invisible dome that was inscribed with runes all over it. In David's own way of thinking, it was almost like watching a haughty little trollup take a pie to the face during an old black-and-white slapstick movie. Those were entirely the wrong thoughts to be thinking at this exact situation, but hey... It kept him going, at least.
As the dome of Archaic Barrier faded and Alichino ended her turn, David drew another card and took a close look at it before looking back up at the Spirit of Light's field. She had one holy warrior who could boost itself by 300 Attack Points whenever it attacked, and a literal beastly beatstick who topped the Level 4 monster charts at 2100 Attack Points. Compared to Grane's somewhat paltry 1600 Attack Points, they were just outside of the winged horse's lead.
For now, anyway...
"I activate Lightning Vortex!" David called out as he slapped the chosen card down onto his duel disk. A mass of roiling black clouds suddenly appeared over the heads of the Lightsworns, Jain and Wulf, followed by a dizzying display of thunderbolts that came raining down over their bodies and the scorched the grass at their feet. With a mighty shout of defiance and surprise, the two Lightsworns were shattered to pieces by the Spell's power. It was another satisfying sight that did David's heart good. Alhough, he made sure to be too careful to not be underestimating his enemy here. She was, after all, one of the seven Attribute Spirits. A 10,000 year old immortal right out of Egyptian spiritualism.
There was no way that this duel was going to be that easy.
"Now I can summon the Rune Beast, Munin!" David called out once more, a second circle of blazing runes appearing next to where Grane stood flapping his wings and tearing at the grass with his hooves. And while the second Rune Beast to be summoned also had wings, it was by no means another winged horse. As the outline grew more and more distinct, as colors became visible, it could be seen that the beast in question was actually a black griffin with raven features instead of an eagles. A jagged beak opened to unleash a shrill cry at Alichino, gleaming red eyes blazing in fury at her from beneath the metallic mask of its helm.
With the arrival of Munin, the Raven of Thought from Norse Myth, the second part of David's combo had begun. "Now I activate the Rune of Rebirth. And I select the Rune Beast, Fenrir that was sent to the Grave to activate my Lightning Vortex. And with Munin's ability to draw cards from my Deck whenever a "Rune" Equip Spell is activated... I get two cards for the price of one."
As the Rune of Rebirth spell was played, a glittering and golden stone with a blazing rune appeared hovering in a spot in David's Spell and Trap Zone. And following that, a third circle of blue-flaming runes appeared to summon yet another Rune Beast. This time it was a snarling wolf who wore a metallic faceplate that covered his eyes and a mantle of blue that was traced with intricate runic designs. Fenrir was his name. And chomping down other monsters was his game.
"All right!" David shouted to all three of this Rune Beasts. "Grane and Munin! Take her from above! Fenrir! Go in through the middle!"
At his command, the Rune Beasts released a collective roar and started the attack. Munin and Grane, the white-winged horse and the jagged crow, took to the air and delivered a one-two combo to the top of Alichino's head. Fenrir, on the hand, went dashing along the ground like a silver bullet before leaping up at her snarling fangs held wide open. He caught her in the stomach just as the two flyers were returning to David's side of the field.
"I end my turn."

The light demon frowned as her monsters where destroyed by the spell card. She sat by allowing the spells to be played, allowing herself to be attacked as well. However, she grinned as she got attacked and he ended his turn. He had just given her the edge she needed! '' I have four Lightsworn monsters in the graveyard... this allows me to summon Judgment Dragon from my hand! '' she explained as she summoned the dragon. '' Now then, I activate the effect, by giving up 1000 of my life points, I destroy all other cards on the field '' she explained. Her life points dropped, but she smiled. '' Next, I play Lightsworn Sabre and Equip it too Judgment Dragon giving him 700 more attack points. ''
She grinned as she summoned another monster, '' Then I play Solar Recharge! I'll Discard Jain, Lightsworn Warrior to Draw two cards, then discard two cards from the top of my deck '' she explained. '' Now then, I activate Wulf's effect and Special Summon him to the field! '' She chimed as she summoned her hairy beast. Then I summon Lumina, Lighrsworn Summoner, and use her special ability by discarding Honest from my hand, I will summon Jain. Now then, all four beasts will gladly attack you for 8600 damage! '' she cheered smiling brightly. ------- Life Points: 2000 Monsters Zone: - Jain, Lightsworn Paladin (Attack!) Wulf, Lightsworn Warrior ((Attack!)), Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner (Attack!) And just like that it was over.
Talk about a total letdown.
As Judgment Dragon came to the field and nuked the entire field of everything David held dear, the white-hooded Obelisk was suddenly overcome by a very harsh sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. "Aw crap..." he whispered under his breath, his arm lifting to shield his eyes from the radiant burst unleashed from Judgment Dragon's body. "Something tells me that I'm not going to like this next part."
And boy, was he ever right about that.
Because the next thing he knew was that Judgment Dragon had been joined by a number of other Lightsworns. And then the pain really began.
BOOM!
As the smoke cleared from the combined assault of the Lightsworns and Judgment Dragon, David struggled back up to his feet and looked down at his body. He felt... strangely tingly all over. Like his body was being poked by acupuncture needles from all over the place. But instead of hundreds of needles poking at him, his eyes widened when he saw that his body was being bathed in a radiant golden light. There was only one phrase that came to mind that could properly describe the kind of feelings David was having at that moment.
"Aw shi-"
That was when the golden aura consumed his physical body, shrunk down to the size of a small marble, and then went streaking to a spot on Alichino's right ear. When it had got there and stopped next to the Spirit of Light's earlobe, the aura (along with David's body) had been transformed into a small diamond earring that sparkled brightly in the daylight.
Ain't this an interesting development?

"David-san!" She yelled out. Her roommate was before her and had completely dominated David in one move... She looked down at Will and then looked at Louis.
"Louis-san! Get over here and take care of Will-kun!" She called out as she got up. She found herself hopping over Will's laying body and she started to run towards Alichino and Ethan, grabbing her deck as Raizen appeared beside her, not knowing that she was about to be diverted...

Louis moved swiftly to Will as Mizuki ran toward the light demon, "Mizuki you must destroy her no matter what. No matter what sacrifice." He perched over Will's body, getting some of the wet clothes off of him, Louis was soaked as well so he could not offer his cloak.
Suddenly a burst of déjà vu came to Louis as he watched over Will’s body. A cold wet body except this time Louis didn’t have a thermos of hot cocoa and he was not the same. He bent over Will, and took out a small metal cross. It was one of his few possessions from the monastery. “Hold still Will we must be careful.” Louis wasn’t sure if all of the demon’s influence had left Will, and even then he had proved susceptible to the demon. He gripped Will’s hand and started muttering a prayer. “Don’t worry, Mizuki will be alright.

The man had heard the warnings, seen the battles, and lived the chaos, but he did not run. Instead, all parts of him were aflame with the envy of the others that had battled thus far. Seeing the Obelisk fall to the Light Demon, he grinned and stepped forward between the demon and the remaining students, calm yet poised for battle.
"So, there is one among you that is a challenge? Well, night light, it's time we trade names. What is yours?"
It was obvious the man was used to battle, as if it were first-nature to him, and he did not fear whatever it was that the demon could do to him or to others.

Will was not as convinced, and instead of just laying there recovering, his mind was taken over with a single thought. Mizuki-chan.
"No! She won't be... you have no idea what these peopel can do!" he said, scrambling up the best he can and trying to take a step towards her, making 4 or five before reaching her, and collapsing.
"Mizuki... please.. I almost lost you once. You may think it the other way, but to me I almost lost, I cannot forgive myself if I lose the last person I truely care about!" he said, without thinking, and reflectively slapped his hand ove his mouth. There.. he said it. Why suddenly Cagnazzo took a liking to her.. and why he felt the need to torture her mind like he did, because Will had realized a truth. He did love her. Or at least cared abut her.
However, the fact that he spent the last couple of weeks without any control over his own body, couple with the fact that he had fatigue and weakness, Will found himself unable to much anymore than he had. All he could do was stretch his arm out, even with his face facing the ground, himself so tired he could barely keep alert.

The irony that she should step forward, and then the man who tried to give her a confidence boost wanted to play, did not escape Mizuki. In fact she flatly stopped running (albeit she wasn't far from her starting point to begin with) and blinked stupidly at Daishi. She listened to him, and she then heard something that made her whole face turn red as she whipped back around to look at Will.
Her mind froze for but a moment, and then one thought ran through it... perhaps inspired by the threat at hand and the fact that all general decency and ettiquette had gone flying out the window.
'Is this really the time?' she thought to herself.
None the less, she looked at Daishi, nodded gratefully, and then rounded back. She went down to her knees and then simply she sat on her knees and took him, elevating his head so that he could use her lap as a headrest. She started to realize that he needed her there... although she thought that maybe he was being too paranoid. None the less, she smiled down at him and then kissed his forehead.
"Relax... I'm here... I'm here..." She murmered quietly as she stroked his hair and then she elevated her eyes up to Louis, and then she looked at the duel, and then she looked back at the priest.
"We'll move him to his dorm or to the infirmary when this is over... once they start I doubt we'll be able to move."
((May I suggest that Brian take a shot at dueling Laura? He was the first to step up after David.))

He was losing himself.. but out of exhaustion. That fact alone made this feel.. better.. even more so when he felt the warmth of her legs as he was lifted.
"Thank you, Mizuki... forgive me...." he said, as his own mind began to drift. His hand found hers, and he grabbed it tight. It just felt right. And after everything he went through.. she went through, all he needed was the security of being here, with her. It just felt normal.. and comforting.
As Will began to drift into the internal sleep he had been denied for days, his thoughts once again returned to Mizuki, and everything she did. Sure, Louis freed him, but what made him fight, and what made him come back, was her. As the blackness of sleep consumed him into his slumber, he mouthed the last thought running into his head, a smile forming on his face.
"Mizuki... you found me..."

As Will fell asleep Louis looked at Mizuiki, "hopefully we won't have any surprises when he wakes up, unlike last time." He looked at the light demon and the red headed stranger, Maybe it was better that he dueled, Mizuki might had showed a moment of mercy, of weakness. Also, Louis could barely recall, but he thought he had seen the stranger talking to Mizuki so he might be trustworthy.
It did not matter who face it, the demons needed to die.

((Yeaaaaaaaaaah.... Mike and I got bored.))
Mizuki looked at the duel between Daishi and Alichino and then looked down at Will's sleeping body. Then she just decided a simple thing. She stroked his hair once, and then she looked at Louis.
"Second thought... we have time." She murmered to him. Then she laid his head gently on the ground, and then proceeded to position herself so that she could easily lift the bigger man onto her back. She'd do it herself... if Louis didn't try to be cavalier-like and take the boy from her.
"Let's get him back to his dorm... I don't think it's serious enough that he needs to go to an infirmary." She said quietly.

The man looked over his shoulder at the retreating group. He grinned, as this was exactly what he wanted, for this to be a fight between himself and the Demon of Light. Observers would be unwelcome here.
"Cat got your tongue, then?" He said as he turned back towards the Demon. "Alright, I will start the introductions. My name is Daishi. Daishi Omega. Resolve yourself, demon, and speak. Or else, I will simply start my attack upon you."

Alichino frowned as the new challenger approached her. Another one! My so many people wanted to become jewelery! She chucked, '' My name is none of your concern if you have not yet to catch it '' she muttered. Especially after he called her Night Light, she didn't care how much he was use to battle, calling her night light was a death sentence.
'' Attack all you want, it's not as if you'll survive it '' she called out, readying her duel disk for a second match. '' You may proceed first.. '' she muttered.
