The day could hardly count as a good one. Thick clouds drifted slowly over the sky, blocking out the sunlight every so often. A wind played with the trees that dotted the Academy grounds, and the clothing and hair of whoever dared trespass beyond the walls of any building. It just screamed 'dreary day'. If clouds hadn't been blocking the sun, it would be hovering over the horizon, signaling the descent into evening and night. Only watches, clocks, and a very good internal sense of time would help someone figure out that dinner was drawing near.
Unfortunately for one Jaeger Turrok, he had none of the above items, and had wandered out of the dorm and to the Courtyard, half searching for something to do, and half just for the hell of it. He was just enjoying the feel of the wind and the scent on the air. It sent a shiver down his spine, but Jaeger just smiled, liking the feeling. The day had dragged on for the Slifer, and this was like a grand vacation from the boredom of both classroom and dorm room. Jugan, his roommate, was a blast to be around, but Jaeger's attention span couldn't handle the speeches and lack of anything to actually do in the room.
It was that reason that very boredom that caused him to meander his way over to where he was now, feet taking him wherever they felt like heading to. He had made a point to grab his deck, not knowing who he may run into during this little walk. Some didn't think about dueling 24/7, others took every opportunity to play the game. In this school, not having your deck was like coming to class unprepared, and Jaeger really didn't feel like being chewed out by someone this afternoon/early evening.
The boy paused, stretching his arms above his head. The Duel Disk strapped to one arm pulled them with the weight, making Jaeger shift his weight to one foot and a yawn to force his jaws apart. His orange hued eyes lazily glanced over what was in front of him. Over the course of his time spent here at Duel academy, he had met a handful of interesting people, and part of him wondered just who else came here for an education.

It was a awesome night! He was absolutely loving the ind against him. Jeevas yawned, he decided to pause saving Raccoon City in order to take a walk near the courtyard. He decided to bring his duel disk with him. He was using his black Cyclone that he barely snuck in. He was using it for unoffical duels that didn't really matter. He immediatly noticed a red jacket. A Slifer Red. 'Hey! What are you doing out here?'

He didn't have to wait long to figure that out. Someone was out and about this night, as well, calling out to him, too. Jaeger blinked at the boy that had asked the question, taking in the yellow uniform. A Ra Yellow, then. He seemed to come across more of them than he did Slifers! Not that the duelist was complaining. It wasn't his choice who he met here, and most of the people he ran into seemed nice enough. The question finally sunk in and Jaeger blinked his way out of his thoughts.
"Ah, I'm just out for a walk." This was followed with the usual smile Jaeger held on his face. "Nothing that interesting, really. What about you? Enjoying the clouds and wind?" That was about all that there was today to enjoy outside. Sun wasn't being let through to allow much shade or patches to sun bathe in. Nothing too exciting, in all reality.

"Yes. It's my favourite time." He grinned at the boy. Jeevas was half-shouting over the wind. His raven-hair flip-flopped around due to it. "One problem I have with it is with the wind like this we can't duel!"

Jaeger could agree with that. The lack of sun kept your eyes from burning. And the wind kept things alive. Hopefully a tree wouldn't get uprooted or break and collapse on the dorms or main building. That would be a problem no one wanted to face. Besides, if one did fall down on the dorm, Jaeger would be without a place to sleep for a bit! And that wouldn't be fun. Not at all.
The wind kept the words faint to ear, though Jaeger could get the gist of what was being said, and he let out a little chuckle. "We can move to a spot where the wind is blocked, or even go inside somewhere." There were a few opportunities available for the two students in order to have their duel. Jaeger wasn't about to turn down a challenge thanks to the weather, either. They could figure out something.

"We could go to the main dueling area inside!" he pulled his jacket up revealing a watch. He shivered from the sudden cold burst of air on his arm. Jeevas looked back at the Slifer. Now that he grabbed good look at him, the Ra noticed he was a year older than him. "It's almost dinner. I highly doubt anyone will be there." Jeevas started walking towards the main building.

Dinner? It was close to dinner time? Jaeger was going to really turn down food in order to duel? Well, he could get something to eat later. Jugan would hopefully save him something to eat when he realized that Jaeger wasn't there. When he got back to the dorms, Jaeger would have to remember to ask his roommate if he did.
Despite the calling of dinner, Jaeger trailed after this Ra student. In terms of rank, others probably wouldn't think Jaeger would stand much of a chance. The Slifer knew how powerful some of the Obelisk students could be, remembering his duel with Matt. He was been easily overwhelmed with the combo the higher ranked student had pulled off. If this boy was anything like Matt, Jaeger would have to watch what cards were played.
"Hopefully we won't get in trouble if we're caught," mused Jaeger, giving the main building a small look over.

"Oh come now...no one's going to be here." Jeevas grinned, suddenly turning to look at the Slifer kid. "Hey...I forgot to ask, what's your name?" He cocked his head to the left, as a curious eight-year-old would do.

"You never know. Security and all that." Jaeger shrugged. Not all teachers had a dorm to manage, and you never knew who else could be traversing the halls at this time. Someone who wasn't hungry, or looking for trouble. The Slifer hoped they didn't run into anyone looking to cause some mayhem. Though, like this Ra had said, it didn't look like there was anyone else out and about. A pause and a blink left Jaeger as his mind slowly processed what was asked. His name? Oh! "I'm Jaeger. Jaeger Turrok."

The Ra grinned and continued to walk backwards, "Turrok? Didn't really like that game..."
He smiled as they entered the area, he ran to the father side a drew 5 cards. "I would like to go first, if you don't mind." He didn't let the Slifer answer as he drew a card. He scanned them and played a monster. "I summon Regenerating Mummy, and play a card face-down." A simple turn.

The Slifer chuckled. "I don't think my family knew what they were in for with the last name of Turrok." The Ra had been the first one to state anything about his last name holding the same title as a video game, but he more than likely wouldn't be the last.
While the other boy ran to one side, Jaeger trotted to the other end, activating his Duel Disk and sliding his deck into the slot. He drew his hand, waiting while the other boy made his move first. A monster and a facedown. If it weren't for the high attack points of the Mummy, Jaeger would think it was a trap. Then again, even with those points it could prove to be dangerous.
When his turn came around, Jaeger drew a card, looking over his hand. "I'll summon Gene-Warped Warwolf to the field, and place two cards facedown. That ends it for me." The holograms appeared on the field, two facedowns placed in the backfield and his Gene-Warped Warwolf standing on his side in an intimidating fashion. A simple move. He wasn't going to attack, not yet. The higher points of his Warwolf would keep that Mummy at bay for now.

Jeevas looked at the Warwolf silently for a moment, and then grinned. "I'll tribute my Mummy, for Ryu Kokki!" In a flash a light, the bag of bones appeared. He opened his mouth to show off his teeth, and an odd smile. "I attack your Warwolf." Kokki somly tosses a skull full speed at the monster, and watched it disappear. Jeevas, statisfied with the results played a facedown and ended his turn.

His Warwolf was destroyed, leaving his field wide open. Maybe he should have attacked his first turn. Well, there was no going back and changing that. He had to work with what he was dealt. If he happened to lose, he lost. No big deal either way. Jaeger drew. Well, it looked like his hand was rebelling against him in a way. "I set one monster in defense mode, and end my turn."
