A boat was speeding towards Central Duel Academia. Within this boat, a man was driving the boat. He looked like any other boat driver that did deliveries and/or transportation to the Academia. However, the focus is on the boy in the passenger's area. The boy was a newly transferred student from West Duel Academia.
Three days ago, he had a duel with the Headmaster of West Academia. The prize for attaining victory would be a transfer to a Duel Academia of his choice. However, losing would force him never to do parkour on the West Academia grounds. Despite this, Evan accepted the conditions fully. After the duel, Evan came out on top.
Evan had heard from Renee before she made her transfer that she was going to Central branch. She had told him that Jugan and David had gone there as well. He had chosen Central Duel Academia, due to the fact that his friends were now there. He would rather spend his final year among friends.
He had spent his last day at West Academia packing up. Now that he would finally be amongst his three friends, he was happy. Jugan was a funny guy, despite how his manliness preaching is considered unbearable, Evan considered it funny. He was one of few people who could stand him. Renee Starling was a very cute girl, and a person he made friends with quickly. Then David, a very close friend of his. Both David and Evan were in Obelisk Blue, and had become very close friends.
After leaving them messages on their cell phones, he had loaded his things onto the boat the next day. Luckily this wasn't much at all. He had then paid the boat driver to take him to Central Duel Academia.
Evan had relaxed in the boat, while talking with the driver. The driver was a nice enough guy, discussing how one of his customers stole an artifact from Domino Museum and had gone on a rampage. He was defeated by a student and then tried to take his life. They have found no traces of him as of yet.
After a ride that lasted an hour and a half, they had arrived at Central Duel Academia. The man had docked the boat, then exited. After grabbing his things, Evan had hopped out of the boat. The boatman had then headed off to get a drink. After getting off the dock, Evan's sneaker set foot into the sands of the Central Duel Academia beach.
New territory was what Evan was staring down. The island had looked so vast and beautiful. As much as he'd like to explore it now, he did tell Jugan, Renee and David that he would meet them here. After putting his things down, he had then stood near them. Now he would wait for the reunion to ensue.

Post by Masami Maeda on Nov 12, 2009 5:55:21 GMT -5
“What do you think that one looks like?” Masami asked, seemingly to no one in particular.
“That’s easy. It’s a rabbit...
“Those are the eyes, and there’s the mouth, and there’s the little fluffy tail.”
Masami quirked her head sideways, hoping to get a better look at the fluffy cloud. The afternoon sky meant was mostly clear, save for a few high clouds on the horizon. Masami loved cloud watching, simply because the sky seemed like such a giant canvas, and—like any great piece of artistry—the beholder could interpret the artwork through whichever lens that she chose. The clouds always resembled something, but she knew from science that it was simply a matter of convenience. Things clustered and clumped together with no sense of purpose, but yet they created such remarkable shapes.
“I think it’s more of a turtle, to be honest.”
Turning back towards her duel spirit, she wondered if they would look different from a different perspective. She wondered if the rabbit would have looked like a different shape if she saw it from above, or if she was a hundred miles away and could see it from a different angle. The duel spirit seemed to read her thoughts, and with a mischievous poof, she disappeared into the air as effortlessly as a rock sinking into the water.
Before she could turn to another song, though, the spirit reappeared from the void as easily as it slipped into it. She wore a devious grin on her bright face, and flittered around Masami with a few mighty beats of her majestic wings. Eatos zoomed straight up to Masami’s face, and waited for the Obelisk girl to reciprocate a serene smile before she opened her mouth to report her findings. Masami entertained her by feigning a look of intense interest on her face, as if she was dying from the anticipation.
“Masami!” she said, doing a little twirl through the air, “you’re right!”
Masami opened mouthed an ‘oh?’ and quirked an eyebrow. She didn’t remember challenging her to anything, and wasn’t sure exactly what she was ‘right’ about in the first place. The guardian floated in front of her excitedly, glissading effortlessly though the air on the calm sea breeze.
“It is a turtle.”
The Obelisk girl released a little bit of a giggle, dismissively waving a hand in the guardian’s direction. She glanced towards the pier, watching the ebb and flow of the waves. In normal conditions, Masami could have easily gotten lost in the rise and fall of those watery waves. She saw beauty and aestheticism in everything that passed her eye, and something as marvelous as the wild, clear ocean simply grabbed at her attention more than most. As brilliant as many of the great human artists were, few of them could compare to the truly wondrous virtuosity of nature’s artwork.
But this wasn’t normal situations. Bouncing atop the incoming waves was a small boat. Masami’s playful grin faded, and she leaned up from reclining position to get a better look at the incoming figure. A brown-haired boy rode in by boat; she first thought he was a visitor and started up, but stopped herself from getting up—they didn’t usually get visitors by small watercraft this time of year…

Well... This was certainly a surprise. It wasn't often that David received mysterious notes in his dorm's mail slot telling him to be at a certain place at a certain time. Or at least.... It wasn't often when the notes came from an anonymous sender rather than the Chancellor's office requesting that David to pay him a "a little visit", as the Chancellor back at West Academy had so often called it. What with David's numerous and daring attempts at sneaking a peek into the Girl's Dorm or their private hotsprings and all that...
Needless to say, he and the West Academy Chancellor often had a lot to talk about.
But that was then and this is now. And David liked to think that he had come a long way since then. No one else seemed to think that way, but he certainly did. Sure, he might've stopped peeping into the girls' dorm and hot springs (or doing it less frequently and more skillfully), but he was still the same pervy Casanova that he always has been deep down.
As he was walking towards the pier and looking at the note in his hand, he was running down a list of possible suspects for who it might've come from. He hadn't had the time to do any actual peeping since he had come to the island, so that ruled out any girls and their jealous boyfriends. And it certainly hadn't come from the Chancellor of this school since there didn't seem to be one yet based on what Hathor had said to him a few days ago. That and the pier just seemed to be an odd choice to hold a student/teacher conference.
So that meant that someone he knew from the outside world was visiting Duel Academy. But who...?
"Eh... I guess I'll be finding out soon enough." David muttered to himself before pocketing the paper. He continued along in relative silence for a while longer, the only sound in his ears being the gentle washing of the surf on the beach. Whoever it was that was waiting for him at the pier couldn't have been all that surprising considering what was already going on at the school. Not any more so than Renee had been when she had gotten here.
And when she had nearly bashed his head in with her suitcase after chasing him all over the beach.
David couldn't help shivering a little at the memory of that, his face pulling back into an exaggerated cringe. He still had a lump on the back of his head from that nightmarish encounter! Although, he was actually willing to admit that he might've deserved it at the time. He had stolen a few of her precious undergarments during a middle-of-the-night panty raid just before he had left West Academy. But even so...! His head had felt like an egg that was about to crack after she had finished with him!

Jugan bounded down the path in a manly way, with a large grin on his face. The was the second time in the past month or so that he'd been called down to the pier. Weird, huh? Then he spotted a familiar white-haired boy walking down the path.
"FROST!"
Jugan only ran faster and slung his arm around David's neck. "What's up, Davey-boy?" The bluenette's grin shrank only a tiny bit. "No nightmares recently. But that weird voice is back again. Just thought I'd let you know."
Jugan looked as if he were about to say something, when his jaw dropped and his glasses slipped. For once, the boy was speechless. Whether this was good or bad, was usually left up to the circumstances. ANWAY, back to the situation at hand.
"Is that Evan Fader standing on the docks?" Jugan pushed up his shades, as if they helped his vision any (which they actually did in a weird sorta way). "Why is everyone you know from West coming here?" Jugan asked, totally ignoring the fact that he had known everyone too.

Standing on the pier, Evan would notice his two old friends. However, there was one who he took notice of before any others. A girl with brown hair and blue eyes was hanging around the Duel Spirit of Guardian Eatos. She was a very beautiful girl, and she had taken notice to him. The brown haired boy had also taken notice to her.
The girl's name was Masami Maeda, and he had known her in the past. The two had gone to the same middle school together. Their interests in music and dueling had allowed them to bond as friends. As a matter of fact, the two had shared Guardian Eatos as a Duel Spirit. They had also shared the spirit of Dark Simorgh.
Evan had then walked up to Masami. His walk towards her was a very friendly and fond one. As he approached her, he said with a very happy tone "Masami! Its been a while!" When he got close enough, he offered her a hug. She had grown into a very beautiful young woman. However, he wasn't going to go through with the hug without her willingness.
It was then that he noticed David and Jugan. Both of his old friends from West Academia. He had then given the two of them a joyful wave. He was among friends once again, even a friend he didn't expect to see here. He was still awaiting Renee, the fanatic of cuteness. But for now, this was just great. "Hey guys! Come over here!" he beckoned to them verbally.
