Having just recently arrived on the island, Hibana was now taking her first steps into the academy. She was wearing an incredibly elaborate dress, clearly making no attempt to hide how wealthy she was. She had arranged to have belonging delivered to her room, so all she was carrying with her was a pipe. The pipe wasn't lit; it was purely aesthetic...an accessory to enhance her elegant image. She looks around, a slight smile on her face as she spoke to herself "So...this is the famous Duel Academy...I must admit, it's nicer than I expected..."

And there sat Casper Amity, knees in front of him. He had completely forgotten about his coat, sunglasses, and hat upon trying to leave the main building. He had set a water bottle next to him, and his shaking hands were trying to get two pills for his anxiety out of their small container. When he finally got the two pills out, Casper tossed them into his mouth and took a big gulp of water. "That... was a close one..." Casper choked out to himself. Then he looked up. A few seconds passed while Casper's brain processed the sight.
... ... ... "A girl."
And then Casper leaped up in fright. People usually didn't get that close to what others described as a freak. With Casper's pale skin and dark circles under his eyes, he sometimes very closely resembled the monsters that inhabited his deck.
Speaking of Casper's deck, when he jumped up, his arm undid the clasp and the upward jolt knocked his cards loose. "G-Geeze, again? Th-This is the third time t-today..." Swallowing nervously, Casper got down on his hands and knees, scrambling to collect his cards. "Mezuki... Plaguespreader Z-Zombie... Ha Des..." As Casper picked the Synchro, his head hung. "I'm such a k-klutz..."

She blinks upon noticing the pale, clumsy boy as he dropped his deck on the floor. "Ugh...this boy is an utter mess..." She thought to herself with a bit of disdain. But, her actions rarely reflected her inner thoughts, and, with a gentle smile, she leaned over to help him pick his cards up. "You should be more careful..." Once all the cards were picked up, she hands him the ones she managed to gather, smiling once more "I'm Hibana Kazan. I'm new here...in fact, I just arrived."

The tall boy managed to choke out a "Th-thank you" when the girl helped him collect his deck. "T-Today's actually one of my b-better days..." Casper laughed nervously, obviously forced. He founs himself slowly inching away from the girl. Well, his legs were shaking so badly that it might as well have been 'centimetering' away. "I'm Hibana Kazan. I'm new here...in fact, I just arrived." "C-Casper A-Amity. Ra Y-Yellow. Been here a few y-years. All this fresh air w-was supposed to help my h-health. Never worked." And with that, Casper shakily popped another pill as he grew more anxious. "P-People call me th-the 'Zombie Guy' or W-Weirdo." Casper idly tugged on his collar before realizing that he was still holding his deck. His fumbling hands managed to, somehow, get all the cards back into the case without dropping one. "S-Sorry if it's d-difficult to t-talk to me. I know I'm not that i-interesting, what with all my m-medication..." It was here in conversations that Casper faltered. Searching for another topic always eluded Casper. "S-So... wh-what kind of d-deck do you u-use?"

"Zombie Guy, huh? Gee, I can't possibly see why anyone would call him that..." Had those words actually been spoken out loud, they would have been oozing with sarcasm. But alas, she remain polite, still smiling as she spoke "You don't seem so bad. A bit...anti-social perhaps, but there's nothing to be ashamed of." She could tell he was uncomfortable speaking to her, but she thought maybe she could give him a little confidence boost. It was true that she tended to look down on most people, and Casper was no exception, but it didn't mean she was mean...she just had no qualms about using people like him to her own benefit. When asked about what cards she used, she smiled lightly "I mostly use Fire-Attribute monsters...currently, my main deck consists of the Volcano monsters and the cards that support them."

"You don't seem so bad. A bit...anti-social perhaps, but there's nothing to be ashamed of." Casper let out another empty laugh. "A bit? I'm a w-walking pharmacy! It's a w-wonder that I haven't had an another a-anxiety attack." Brief images of Casper's first years, and his time in Slifer Red, flashed by his eyes. True, he had gotten better since then, but Casper was still a nervous wreck. "I mostly use Fire-Attribute monsters...currently, my main deck consists of the Volcano monsters and the cards that support them." Casper nodded shakily in response. Fire attributes were notoriously strong and decent at swarming, much like a wildfire in itself, but Casper knew from experience that a lot of Fire cards lacked interlocking support. Volcanics though... that was a dangerous type of deck, especially to one like his own. "S-Sounds interesting. I use a S-Swarming and B-B-Beatdown Zombie deck. I've been t-told that I tend to summon D-Doomkaiser Dragon as my ace c-card."Oh, how Casper wished someone else would show up to take the attention off of him!
