Wing entered the arena, wearing her usual slifer uniform. Today, she was here because of the homework assignment from the Duel Class, and her opponent will be the person who was the Obelisk Blue who dueled against Blinky in class. While she didn't see much of his deck, she is still a little nervous at this, as she unconsciously tapped at the Mirage Dragon card in her shirt pocket and eagerly awaits her opponent to arrive.

So Craig had gotten a challenge by a classmate he didn't know. What else was there? He didn't plan on having just one duel. He wished to duel more than one person than just her, and would look for another opponent afterwards, though whether or not he would duel that person here was questionable.
Either way he looked at his opponent and activated his duel disk as soon as he stepped onto the arena.
Wing flipped a coin and Craig called heads. He was correct. "I'll go first."
He drew his first five cards. "Draw Phase." He drew his sixth card. "Standby Phase. Main Phase 1. Summon Blue Thunder T-45. Play Field Spell Luminous Spark." A bright light flashed brightening the arena. Blue Thunder's attack rose to 2200.
"Turn End."

Right now, Wing was a little perplexed at what kind of deck her opponent is using. Is it just a general light deck, or something that has to do with spaceship looking things? As she drew her next card, she wondered what she should do. With a monster that has 2200 ATK staring down at her, she can't do much at all. After thinking for a bit, she decided to just set 1 card in both the monster zone and the M/T zone and said, "That's all."

"Draw Phase." Craig once again drew. "Standby Phase. Main Phase 1. Battle Phase. Blue Thunder T-45 attacks your defense position monster." The space-ship burst forward at the speed of light and smashed through the Twin-Headed Behemoth. The monster backed up to Craig's side of the field at a much slower velocity. Then a red dot appeared next to the machine. "Thunder Option Token attacks you directly."
"Blue Thunder T-45 special summons a Thunder Option Token each time it destroys a monster," Craig explained calmly as a thin laser shot at Wing's duel disk, taking her down by 2000.
"Main Phase 2. Normal Summon Victory Viper XX03. Turn End."

When her opponent ended, Twin-headed Behemoth returned to her field, although it looks to be badly injured. Speaking out of concern, Wing told her monster, "Sorry about that, but that was the only thing I could do." She then drew her next card, hoping to take back some control. A whirlwind then surrounded Twin-Headed Behemoth as Wing offered her monster for a Tribute summon, and as the Level 3 monster disappeared from the field, Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV 6 took its place.
The hawk like dragon screeched loudly as it hit the field, and seems to be eying the field. Wing took a moment to observe the field as well, and declared an attack on Blue Thunder. The Machine type then glowed white for a moment as it gains 2300 ATK and crushed Horus. Yep, her opponent has just discarded Honest from their hand, and now she knows that she is in trouble. She then just opted to set 1 card in the M/T zone before ending her turn.

Craig had enough firepower that he could win easily. He could even summon to showboat. However he was a pessimist. She had a new set card. "Draw Phase." He drew. "Standby Phase. Main Phase 1. Battle Phase." He skipped to there again. "Thunder Option Token attacks directly."
His pessimism paid off as a Mirror Force blew away all his machines. "Main Phase 2. Normal Summon Falchion Beta." The new ship flew onto his side of the field and hoovered on his side of the field. "Turn End."

She managed to survive for one more turn, somehow, and she has her cards to thank for that. Wing tapped her Mirage Dragon card again before drawing her next card, hoping for something that can stand up to this assault. After setting another card in the M/T zone, she summoned the monster, Red-Eyes Wyvern. The dragon roared as it entered the field, as it saying that it will get revenge for Horus.
After the attack declaration, the wyvern charged at the machine-type monster and shattered it. Satisfied that she was finally finally able to deal some damage to her opponent, she then ended her turn.

Craig didn't view the hit as bad. It was the cost of war. His Gradius deck was far from reaching 'Game Over'. Craig smiled a bit at his own little private joke that no one would know about other than him. After that very slight smile he became serious again. "Draw Phase." He drew. He already had a card that could fix this problem. "Standby Phase. Main Phase 1. Play Fissure." A crack appeared in the ground, no shadows in it though thanks to the field spell, and swallowed the Wyvern.
"Normal Summon Victory Viper XX03. Battle Phase. Direct attack." The Gradius Game based ship fired a laser at Wing taking her down by 1700. "Main Phase 2. Set a card. End Tune."

During the End Phase of her opponent's turn, Wing activated the trap card, Royal Decree. Castle walls appeared behind the back field, and an odd looking king stood on the highest part of the castle, overlooking the back field. Now, that traps are locked down, the only piece of the Horus lock down is Horus himself.
As she drew her next card, she knows that it's pretty much over if his last card is Honest. Wing summoned her newly drawn monster, another Red-Eyes Wyvern to the field. But the monster grew double its size and destroyed the attacking dragon. Wing looked at the field and discovered that her opponent has activated Limiter Removal, and that has decreased her Life Points to an abysmal 500. When she ended, Victory Viper seems to have overloaded and destroyed itself, and the Option Token that her opponent has summoned has disappeared as well.

"Draw Phase." Craig drew his next card, and it was a low level monster, just as he needed. With Gradius Deck, non-tribute monsters were plentiful. "Standby Phase. Main Phase 1. Summon Jade Knight. Battle Phase. Jade Knight direct attack." The newest space ship fired a purple laser at Wing. The pulse expanded on contact into a sphere and knocked her life points down to 0.
"Game Over," Craig muttered in another joke. "See you in class." After that he left without another word.

Well, that was.. a horrid display, to say the least. But at least Wing finished her homework, so she couldn't complain too much. Taking out both her Mirage Dragon and Exploder Dragon cards, she told them, "Sorry guys, better luck next time, I guess?" Then, she just left the arena, content that now she doesn't have any other things to worry about class-wise.
