Natalie's footsteps carried her lightly over the boards of the pier that lead her way up to the Academy. She had just arrived after a short boat trip from Domino City. It really hadn't been that long, though she was glad to be back on solid ground and further on her way to learning more about her dueling abilities. This place would help her to grow and expand in her skills, though more then that, it would hopefully lead the way to her learning how to grow as a person as well.
Her eyes swept over the land before her, it didn't appear to be exactly what she had been dreaming of, but it was a place away from home, a place where no one knew of her or her fears..... as irrational as they were...... and Natalie would be able to make a whole new start. The only thing she could really hope for right now, was that she wouldn't accidentally run into anyone that might have her freaking out.
She blushed at her own weakness, talking to people was natural and fun for her, but the moment a boy physically touched her, it would have her fainting..... an ill effect of going to all girl private schools her whole life and not having much experiance with anything else. Natalie sighed lightly, if nothing else, this was going to be an interesting time for her.... all she had to do now was be herself and keep her one major weakness hidden away. For the moment though, she just had to worry about her other current problem, she had on her hands.... she had a couple bags on her and she needed to carry her things up to her dorm room, which she had no clue of where that was.

The pier had almost immediately become one of Peto’s favourite places on the island, it was a place that he felt more at home, mainly because he was much closer to a more wild sensation, it was more difficult to explain, but it just felt a little bit more free out on the pier, like there where less boundaries, and just something a little bit better about being out there.
He had only really been down once, and was going to go down again, when he suddenly, and quite unexpectedly on his part, noticed someone walking in the opposite direction, leaving the pier. It was a girl, and he couldn’t really think of any girls, let alone anyone else whom he had noticed had chosen to spend any amount of time of the pier, other than himself. Maybe this girl was new then, though term hadn’t really started up completely, just the first lessons and such, that was all.
Yes, she had to be new, she had her bags in her hands, he could probably help her with that, if she actually wanted help. He didn’t have anything better to do in the meantime, or nothing else which he could actually think of.
”You want help?” He called out, quite surprised that he was actually going through with the thought.

Natalie stole a glance up the pier, it didn't look like a far walk up to the Academy.... it actually appeared to be a pretty nice way that could be really relaxing. That would be exactly what she needed after having to leave home earlier that day, she was going to miss her family. Sighing softly, Natalie glanced back behind her at the two other bags laying there that she couldn't carry currently, maybe they had a storage place here to keep her things until she could make the second trip back to retrieve everything.
She was about to go and ask one of the men who might be around about that storage place whenever another voice seemed to be aimed at her. It wasn't something that she was expecting, but then again, no one else had gotten off the boat with her so the voice had to be speaking to her. Unfortunately for her, it sounded male and she knew what would come of that. Natalie raised her head, though her eyes didn't really focus entirely on the boy that had arrived from the academy, from the look of his blazer, he was a student there.
"Help? um... well I guess so. I need to find the Ra dorms and get these bags up there.... but you really don't have to help if your busy with something, I'd hate to be a bother to you."
There was a friendly smile that graced upon her lips, though she had involuntarily taken a step back so that there was a little more distance between the two of them. It wasn't anything personal, but she knew that if he got too close to her or touched her on accident then she'd probably freeze right up.... males had a way of doing that to her, she really did need to learn to adjust to other people more soon.

Peto continued to walk forwards, towards the girl, not really in any way realising that she had taken a step back. Something like that tended not to really register on his mind too easily, he just didn’t really care for it. In any case he continued forwards, speaking again, ”No real problem, don’t really have anything else that I would be doing anyway.” Really he simply didn’t have anything else to do at all, there was nothing to do, not much in the way of homework to worry about – yet, so he had quite a bit of time on his hands.
”Guess you must be new then?” He said, with half a grin, not realising this was a pretty stupid question to ask, of course she must be new, no-one else really was taking stuff to their room anymore, everything seemed to have arrived well enough, and actually she seemed to have quite a lot of stuff, Peto himself had only one suitcase, which he had stuffed quite a lot into, this girl certainly outclassed him on that front. Now that he was closer, he was able to see the girl properly as well, as opposed to a bunch of long blonde hair, she was quite pretty, and seemed to be friendly enough, which was good, at least she wasn’t giving the impression she didn’t want him there.

Natalie smiled softly as she blushed a little bit, keeping a fairly safe distance between the two of them so that they wouldn't end up getting too close to one another. She didn't want to end up freezing up so soon, then people would know her weakness before she even had a chance to get into the Academy.
"Well thank you, um... my name is Natalie by the way."
She was grateful for the fact that her hands were full, it would keep her out of the awkward position of not shaking hands or anything upon greeting someone new. The other couple of bags were not that far from her, but enough to keep them from accidentally closing the space between them anymore then it was now. Though he seemed like a very nice person, it was too bad that she got so nervous around guys, he would probably be someone fun to hang out with...
"Yes, I am new, today is my first day here. You've probably been here for a while though right? You look like you know where your going from the looks of things."
She smiled softly, her voice was sweet and confident. Aside from freezing up whenever she was around males, she tended to be a pretty confident and well spoken person who loved being around other people. Tari looked pretty happy to be here, and she was.... this place was going to be a whole new adventure and she couldn't wait to see what was waiting ahead.

”Nice to meet you Natalie.” Peto replied, with half a smile, she seemed to be blushing, and slightly more interestingly taking a couple of steps backwards. Was there something up with that? Peto wasn’t quite sure in himself, though he didn’t really want to ask either, it wasn’t something to be able to completely bother him at the minute, he could let it slide by, shouldn’t be that much of a problem.
She was new, which confirmed what Peto had basically already known, no real surprise. ”It’s a nice place really, sort of peaceful for the most part, just don’t be late, it’s not really that easy to walk in late to any lesson.” He had managed to, and it hadn’t been the best experience in his life, pretty nasty actually.
”What lessons are you taking?” He asked, in a vague attempt to start up some other conversation, as he went to pick up her other bags.

Natalie smiled gently, hoping that it would replace the probably rude gesture of trying to step away from him. She certainly wasn't trying to put distance between them because of anything personal and she didn't want to seem like she thought down on him or anything. He seemed like a pretty nice person so far, it would be a shame to come across as rude already.
"It does seem like a pretty nice place, though don't worry, I tend to get up pretty early so that I won't be late to places. Kinda a habit I guess...."
She laughed lightly, it was odd, she hadn't really laughed since she had left home, it was nice to relax again and just be herself. Natalie smiled as she looked at the boy who's name she still hadn't gotten yet, though asking seemed to be impolite if he didn't want to freely give it to her. It was alright though, maybe he liked to be the more mysterious type.
Her face took on a slightly confused look as she listened to his words, wondering what he was talking about whenever it came to the classes. Personally she didn't mind going to all the classes, maybe then she would get better at dueling and be able to take on others competitively.
"Well aren't we suppose to take them all? Or maybe I read my schedule wrong. I haven't really looked at it since I received it.... I thought that I would have time to look it over once I got here.... much easier this way."

”Yeah, I guess that really it’s a good place.” Peto replied with, suddenly into the frightening awareness that he had not given his name, he had forgotten. ”I’m Peto, by the way.” How had he forgotten, really he had no proper idea, it was too confusing to work out, his mind wouldn’t function to help him, which was annoying.
”You don’t need to take them all, just the ones that you want to, some only take one or two, some take every lesson, sort of your choice completely.” At least he could answer this properly, he knew he had managed to get it right, that was something there, at least.

"That's an interesting name"
Natalie looked over at him, it wasn't a name that she had ever heard before, but there were probably plenty of those given that she didn't overly know too many names out there. It wasn't as if she was used to meeting people or anything, after all, she had gotten to be overly shy around males and most females had names that were either similar or pretty common to where she had heard them at least once before. It wasn't a bad name, it was interesting to hear something that was different and almost enough to have her giving a genuine smile, but she managed to keep it hidden as she held her bags a little tighter and began walking towards the only path there..... leading her to assume it led the way to the Academy and Dorms, but if she was wrong then surely he would point it out to her. He probably knew what dorm she was in already, though not by uniform since she hadn't gotten the chance to put hers on yet, but because of the fact that she was dressed in a lot of yellow.... it was her favorite color after all.
"Oh, I suppose I understand, that seems like a strange way of doing things though. What if some people only want to take a couple? They would have a lot of free time then right? I don't think I'd like all the free time, I usually like to keep pretty busy... plus I need to learn more about all aspects of dueling, I'm sure that it'll help me out in the future."
At this, Natalie gave a warm grin, hoping that she didn't sound too eager and like one of those people who just tried to get top grades or teacher attention or anything. That wasn't her at all... her grades were average and she usually liked to be in the background where she wouldn't be noticed.... but it was hard to deny the fact that she did like learning all the same.
