Students would find the door to the Duel Class standing open, waiting for them to enter in. As they walked in, they would notice it was much like all the other classrooms; one side of the room had rows of desks that rose up at an angle, for larger groups of students to be able to participate at the same time. There was, however, no teacher waiting for them. Instead, in hastily written words on the front board, were instructions: Find the seat corresponding to your name on the list below. Once your seat is found, write your name (nickname if desired), rank, and preferred deck with the piece of paper provided. Take out your decks. Below the writing was a table of seats with individual names written on them, the names on top seated further back while the ones on the bottom seated at the front. Rebecca Lexington Richard Diodrago Xenneth Hikari Cirno Hanayuki Mizuki Hiruka Shinjugai Kannouteki Peto Soneka Kouryuu Ryuuza Amaya Sagisawa Will Nimbus Wing Sung Isabel Kentra Leon DeHay Lumis Raonlier DJ Reilty Rika Soul Alexander Koshi Craig Benedict Mesmere Matt Hirama Emma Gale Marvelo Namaguchi Jaeger Turrok Robert Zanrou Underneath this was yet another quick scribble, which ready simply; I'll be here soon enough. Just do as instructed. Dr. Stein

Post by Jaeger Turrok on Oct 15, 2009 16:16:58 GMT -5
First day of class! How could Jaeger not be excited? This officially started his school years at Duel Academy. The Slifer had been so excited about today that he had woken up earlier, going over his deck, and waiting for the time when it would all start. Unfortunately, the excitement had dwindled down as Jaeger's attention went to other focuses. Would they duel each other in the class? What was the teacher like? Did he have any orange M&M's left?
Trotting down the hall, he looked down at his deck, fanning the first few cards out. "Looks like it's finally started, guys. I can't wait to see who else in in the class." It was true. Though he had only met a small handful of people, Jaeger was curious to know if any of them were part of the Duel Class.
He entered the room, only slightly surprised to see the room empty of a teacher. Instructions were left on the board, and he scanned over them quickly. "So, we have assigned seats. Can't be too bad." Looking at the seating arrangement, Jaeger paused. "Front row? That's new. At least I won't be caught in the mad rush out of the classroom. And Jugan and DJ are in the class, too! Awesome!" With a little smile, he went to his seat, placing his deck in front of him and scribbling his name, Jaeger Turrok, rank, Slifer Red, and his deck, Dog Deck, on the paper placed there.
"Now, all that's left to do is wait." He folded his arms on top of the desk, resting his chin on his arms.

Alex had thought he was late, or rather, it had taken him 15 minutes to figure out that he was really only 20 minutes early, so it wasn't so bad. It was sort of spooky really, walking into an almost empty classroom ... he almost expected someone to jump out and go BOO!
He looked up at the front board, and for some reason had the urge to go an mess up all the names so everyone sat in the wrong places, then the urge left him as he found his seat was right at the back of the classroom, its a good thing he had brought his binoculars with him.
Hefting his bag over his shoulder he climbed the steps to the top, passing a boy dressed in Red as he did so, he sat down in his designated place right at the top, placing his bag on the floor next to him. He pulled a clutch pencil from the small pocket of his Ra blazer and began writing.
Name: Alexander Koshi, Nickname: Alex Rank: Ra Yellow Deck: ...
He got stuck on the last one, now that was a tricky question ... what could he put, as he mused on this question, a small figure faded into view behind him, she was small ,with green hair and blue eyes. She was clad in orangey-pink robes similar to that of Dark Magician Girl, and her hat was purple just like Dark Magicians, in one hand she carried a little staff with a red stone set in its top.
"Hiya Alex ... what you up to"
Alex rolled his eyes, before he lowered his voice.
"I'm in a lesson C.E, do you mind"
She paused, looking at him with her head cocked to one side, then gave a cheery smile.
"No I don't mind, but it looks interesting, can I watch?
"If you have to!", Alex, gave a small sigh, then went back to tapping his pencil against his mouth in thought as he tried to decide what words his Deck would fit under.

Post by "Jugan" Kannouteki on Oct 15, 2009 16:37:56 GMT -5
Jugan yawned as he strode down the hall towards his Dueling Class. He hadn't sat up all night. That wasn't manly and Jaeger would've killed him. Instead, Jugan was inwardly hoping that the class didn't turn out like he thought it would. On the flip side, the class could solve his motivation issue, or lack thereof. "Whatever. Just get it over with. It's the manly thing to do."Then he arrived at the class. The door was open. Jugan's brow twitched. "Leaving the door open is so not manly." He muttered as he stepped through. The first thing he'd do was follow instructions, because that was the manliest course of action at the time. He took his seat and jotted down his information. Slifer Red Shinjugai "Jugan" Kannouteki VWXYZ Deck. "There. All done." Then Jugan spotted the only other person in the room. He'd recognize that messy hair anywhere! "JAEGER! JAEGER! WE'RE IN THE SAME CLASS!" And then he spied the other boy in the class. "AND TALKING TO YOURSELF IS NOT MANLY! BUT WE HAVEN'T MET, SO I'LL LET IT SLIDE THIS TIME!"

Post by Robert Zanrou on Oct 15, 2009 16:51:32 GMT -5
Robert, entering class in his usual calm manner had a smile upon his face. He had met Stein-sensei before in order to arrange entry into his class. He gave Robert a good question at that time, one that he used past experience to answer. However this was a complex question, one that he learned through his tournament days. Despite the professor being what one would call crazy, Robert had a good feeling about him.
Noticing that the Professor was not there, he noticed the writing. He had gotten a front row seat, which he did not mind at all. Assigned seating didn't surprise or shake him at all. In school, he had always had an assigned seat, along with everyone else. Whenever he had to move, it was a seat swap he had gotten with a troublesome student. He was only up there during initial seating, since there really was no misfit table at that time of the year.
Taking his seat calmly, he had taken one of the two deck boxes from his belt. This Deck Box depicted a strange creature who was ducking in a hole, ready to pop out of it. Opening the deck box with a special key, he took out the deck inside. Every card inside was encased in a single type of sleeve. This was a fun deck, a deck that he had played when not in any major event or occurrence. However, he was very proud of his deck, and had dueled with it after his first class a few days ago.
Alfonse, his first opponent at the Academia was not attending this class. His mind blanked out to the duel with Alfonse. At first he set up an advantageous fleid, by sweeping his opponent's Life Points by 5000 in one fellow swoop. But he had come back, destroying his access to Ojama Country. Freed was the warrior who had sent his Cyber Dragon into oblivion. However, he managed to finish the duel by using Pot of Avarice, and drawing into Cyber Dragon and Gale of the Hurricane. Using Gale, he halved Freed's attack, but the bird's attack was met with the supporting angel. But in the end, the same dragon that was obliterated used the supporting angel to gain revenge upon the paladin. This is what won him the duel.
Dressed in his usual Ra Yellow uniform, he was reminiscing upon the duel he had. It was indeed a fine first duel, a victory he had to climb uphill for at its end. Alfonse was a great opponent, an opponent he had looked forward to facing again in the future. But in this class, he had potential opponents that may be everywhere. And the teacher, how would his lessons go, and would the students work through them?
Snapping out of his memory trip, Robert had taken out a pen and had filled out the form. Writing his name and rank was the easy part, but writing out his favorite deck was the tough part. He had two decks, Ojama Country and Gladial Beasts. However, he was equal towards both decks, both had meant something to him on equal levels.
Name: Robert Zanrou Rank: Ra Yellow Deck: I don't select favorites, but I use Ojama Country.
Just in case someone was looking over his form, he had kept Gladial Beasts off of it. Despite it being his true form, he'd rather be known for his open form. He would rather be like an assassin who conceals his weapon. Not a brazen maniac who goes flailing his sword around like a retard. No, he'd rather keep an immediate weapon, but when things get serious, pull out his main source of power.

Post by Matt Hirama on Oct 15, 2009 17:28:27 GMT -5
Matt walked in quietly into the classroom, not surprised that a good number of other students had already arrived. He was never one to arrive first in a class unless he had questions he wanted to ask the teacher before class started. Even that was rare though, so Matt rarely, if ever, showed up first. After a short nod to confirm the lack of a teacher, he quickly found his assigned seat and sat down. He took a pen out of the bag he laid beside him and began writing down what was asked of him.
Name: Matt Hirama Rank: Obelisk Blue Deck: Chaos
After he had written his information down, he laid his paper face down on the deck in front of him and looked around. It was sort of disappointing his seat was not around a window, but he'd manage. Sometimes the students around him did some amusing things. Still, his gaze wasn't really focused in particular, seeing as he was bored and class had not started yet.

Wing entered the classroom, and immediately noticed the lack of a presence of a professor. Then, she finally took notice of the writings on the board and started to try to find her name. So she was going to be stationed at almost the center of the classroom. Although, from her past experiences, the person sitting at that location will usually be picked on when a professor asks a question, and she doesn't really like being called upon that much.
Anyways, when she finally made her way to her seat, Wing started to fill out the information that the professor required.
Name: Wing Sung Rank: Slifer Red Deck: Horus/Decree Lockdown
As soon as she finished filling it out, she started to relax, and just looked over at the sheet of paper making sure that she didn't spell her name incorrectly or something. Satisfied with the final product, she just awaited the professor to arrive.

Craig was next to arrive. He looked at the board and his eye twitched a bit. A seating chart. He wasn't in the middle seat. Odd numbered row, but not middle seat. It's not that bad. Craig took the assigned seat and wrote down the required information.
Name: Craig Benedict Rank: Obelisk Blue Main Deck: Aliens
Craig hummed a set of five notes that some might recognize from an old science fiction movie involving aliens. Craig had altered his duel disk's program a bit for sound recognition of that tune for a special reaction. It was Craig's own unique sense of humor. He didn't have much humor, but just because he didn't laugh often, didn't mean he didn't have one.
He drummed one set of fingers against the back of his other hand. A nervous habit since he couldn't hum the entire time. He took out his deck and set it on the corner of the desk he sat at. His extra deck was beside it. Both were face-down.

A girl in her teens entered. Lack of sound with a leisurely pace. Eyes of ivory jade steady to scope. Attached to her arm was a mechanical apparatus of standard use for the academy. At the front the obelisk sat down, taking no mind of the others amidst. As an alternative there were directions to follow, partially complete. Taking hold of a writing utensil, the girl wrote in a style similar to that of calligraphy that lacked the kanji in question. Mesmere Obelisk Blue Dorm I do not prefer any deck over another. Current deck has a basis of mages
Complete in the task, the card with the information flipped to the blank side up. A stack of cards also emerged from the device the girl carried. With no other use, the owner began to shuffle dispassionately. Formalities laced over jagged passageways of penitence.

Post by Amaya Sagisawa on Oct 15, 2009 19:18:56 GMT -5
Amaya was next to enter the classroom, dressed in her usual Slifer Red uniform. She let out an audible sigh after noticing that her seat was quite a ways to the back. And further observation indicates that no one that she knows are in this class either. Then again, she is not the most social person in the world, so it's only natural that she knows no one in class.
When she finally got to her seat, she took a minute to catch a breather before filling in the sheet of paper with the proper information. But as she did, Amaya realized that she had forgotten what she was supposed to write, and since she is sitting so far from the board, the writing isn't that visible. And so she had to walk towards the board halfway again. Name, rank and deck, all right, now she is sure that she can remember it. After Amaya got to her desk again, she immediately filled out the information in case she forgets again.
Name: Amaya Sagisawa Rank: Slifer Red Deck: Empty Jar

Post by Issy Kentra on Oct 16, 2009 4:07:04 GMT -5
Issy’s wandered into the classroom, still quiet tired, having not really slept that well the night before. Really all she wanted to do at this moment was fall back to sleep, but somehow she had managed to drag herself along to the class, though she felt like she was going to fall asleep at some point, if she didn’t managed to regain control of what she was doing quickly enough. Arriving she noticed that there where quite a few people there, more than she had expected to be there, and even better was the rather nice fact that she was almost dead on in the middle, quite a lot of the time she found teachers where too busy paying attention to the back row, to notice the middle, and anyone in the front might be able to cover her, if only a little.
Arriving at her seat, she began to write down her name, and whatever else she was meant to write down.
Name: Issy Rank: Ra Deck: Neo-Space
Yeah, she thought that something like that would do, it was only really a half-effort, and she couldn’t quite figure out anything else to write, so one word answers always where good enough for her.
Now all they needed was a teacher.

Post by Emma Gale on Oct 16, 2009 17:12:19 GMT -5
What is this? A seating plan on the first day of class? And furthermore, the professor in question isn't even here? Well, this surely is different, although Emma is not sure if it's good different, bad different, or just weird different, guess she will find out during the class. Further examination results in her noticing her seating arrangement- the middle of a row off to the side.
As she started making it to her seat, she noticed a couple of obelisk blues sitting behind her, while a ra and a slifer is sitting in front. Quite frankly, none of the interest her at the moment, at least, not until they show that they are competent. But as she walked by, she noticed something interesting in the decks section that one of the ra's has written down. Ojama country? What in the world is this? Strange, they let someone who actually use Ojamas into the academy, and he is a Ra Yellow? The standards must be slipping if they allowed that to happen.
Still, she has time to burn, so why not get some 'socialization' in before she makes it to her own desk? Grinning snidely, she said in a cold tone, "Ojama Country? Did you bribe your way into the academy or something, Mr..." Emma then took a quick glance at the piece of paper before continuing, "Zanrou?"

Post by Dr. Franken Stein on Oct 16, 2009 17:22:50 GMT -5
From out in the hallway the sound of squeaky wheels would be heard moving at a rapid pace. Suddenly, just after a loud thud, the teacher arrived sitting backwards on his chair, spinning across the floor to halt right in the middle of the floor in front of the students. He stomped his feet into the ground to stop the spinning, looking the students over with hawkish yellow eyes.
He still looked as carefree as ever, his gray hair disheveled and an unlit cigarette hanging from his lips. He stood up from his chair, then moved to the board, removing a piece of paper from his lab coat pocket and looking it over for a moment before taking up a piece of chalk and crossing out 'Xenneth Hikari' from the list. He then turned and looked at those that had gathered thus far, including the Obelisk Blue girl that had just entered, removing the cigarette from his mouth so that he could speak.
"Welcome to Duel Class. I am Dr. Franken Stein. You will either call me Dr. Stein or Stein-sensei. I hope we understand each other."
He then turned and looked at the Obelisk Blue girl, grinning slightly. "As for you, Miss Obelisk Blue, I suggest you take a seat unless you intend on being the first to be dissected." His yellow eyes stared at her over his glasses, and although he looked non-threatening, he was most definitely not joking around.
"Alright, folks, pass those papers forward. Everyone else who shows up after this gets to fill them out after class. Consider yourselves lucky." As he watched the papers being handed down from front to back, he collected them and put them on his desk before looking back at all of them.
"You are here because you believe your skills are not up to par or they can be brought to a whole new level. I can promise you, they will be, and time will tell how much so. Time does not matter to me, though. When I am done with you, the Pro League will seem like kindergarten to you."
He leaned back against his desk and looked up amongst the rows. "Who volunteers for the first match?"

Craig decided he would like to go first. He wanted to get his out of the way first before he could second guess himself. So it was with that in mind that he raised his hand to volunteer. He picked up his Alien deck ready to duel and slid it into the Duel Disk he had in his bag. He was expecting to be picked, since he didn't see any others volunteering yet.

Robert, looking at Emma Gale as she made her comment calmly sighed. "This was the deck I used to get into Ra. And besides, Ojama Country is quite powerful, it can maintain great hand advantage and throw off many decks." When the good Professor had asked for volunteers, he stood up, telling Ms. Gale "even if I don't win, I'll give you a demonstration." "Stein-sensei, I'd like to volunteer!"
