Pastel painted sunset. Dimmed vivid brushes of ruffled clouds. Reflection upon the mirror of ocean. The canvas only marred by machines of human made hands and the feathers of winged creature’s molting. The convoluted unity between nature, beast, and machinery. A gust flows through to earn its favor, passing the material world.
A teenage girl sat at the edge of the pier, slender legs dangling off the side as to linger above wavering mirror below. Beside the figure laid a device in a shape of a duel disk yet the figure disproves the verity of being a student. Stature of picturesque posture and clothing of a noble had substituted such facts. Perpetual means lead to desperate ends.

(Since noone has posted in this yet, I was bored and decided I'd jump in. .__. If you want me to change anything, it's good. I have nothing better to do today.)
It was just starting to enter the twilight of the day as a figure walked along the side of the ocean, hat pulled low. He was in great thought, this figure, about many a thing. Beside him padded his most trusted companion and friend, next to Camilla of course. The strange little beast was in fact a puppy, and had a small bone sticking out of it's jaws, almost like a toothpick. The tapping of the cane Leon carried with him shifted in style, as it hit different points in front of him, from sand to dirt to...wood.
He opened his eyes, pulled out of his reverie and looked around. He seemed to have walked all the way around from the beach to the pier, lost in thought about his daily troubles. He blinked again when he heard Shinta growl around his favorite bone quietly, and looked around. He didn't see anyone nearby...until his gaze rested at the end of the pier. "Hush, Shinta." Leon said quietly, before picking up his cane and walking slowly to the end of the pier.
He got to the end, stepping quietly, then looked out to the water. This had always been one of his favorite places to come to think in the past years, and it looks like someone had picked up on it. "I'm sorry to bother you...but I couldn't talk about this at our last meeting." He wanted to ask, but couldn't while Xenneth had been there. "You're a Shadow Duelist, no? He could feel the energy, and he turned and looked down at her.

No conscious movement. Gusts forced vermillion strands into the limited skies just as it carried the female’s voice. "I lack understanding as to what you are referring to.” Emerald jewels moved to the edge. Head remained motionless.
“Ah. You. You departed before my reply to your lack of compensation.” Twist of the female’s delicate figure had placed the legs flatly on the granite below. Exertion allowed her movement to stand directly towards the male that confronted her once again. “I am interested in that star pendant you carried previously. Appeared valuable if sold on markets. If not then would be sufficient as an accessory.” Blunt yet clear. Disposition remained glassed over as the gemstone eyes.
A partial turn to the right. Eyes remained on the figure with a lesser interest. “However I am convinced you have already dutifully reported to Vahn Gale my refusal without compensation. Do you have additional business with me?”

He had, in fact more business with her, but he was more focused on her words before those. He reached up and grasped the crystalline star at his neck, staring at the ocean still. "This...is very important to me. It would be very difficult to part with it." He paused for a moment, looking down at the obelisk girl, then back at the ocean. "I suppose if you won it from me in a duel..." He sighed. What if he lost it? He'd be doomed...
As for the moment, he had reported back to Vahn with her refusal of her test, and he hadn't much interest in the news. However, Leon did have an interest in these things, and simply turned to look at her. "You should come train with us." Was all he said, blinking at her. His main interest was in the energy that he felt from her, and of course her interest in his shadow charm only made him more suspicious of her shadow energy.

“Difficult to believe you would be prepared to separate with an item you value greatly in exchange for my victory in a duel. You must hold confidence that you are capable of defeating me.” Jade eyes shimmered with the sun’s refracting rays. Head motionless with exception to a flicker of the eyelids. Empty void between. No curiosity.
“Train? Perhaps when I achieve interest in such trivia.” Voice detached. Fair hand drifts to the holster upon the noble's belt. Inconvenience. “I do not understand why you are agreeable to stake something of importance for a mere duel against me but if you insist, incentives will proclaim me victor. Do you wish to continue?”

"I am the student of Vahn Gale. I have a reason to be slightly confident in my abilities, being trained by someone as prestigious as him." It was true, this was one of the main sources of his abilities. However, it was also in his deck. He had seen his deck almost beat his very own teacher, and it gave him even more confidence.
"Very well. But what do I get if I win? With my charm on the line, I no longer care what it is Vahn wants. What is it that you will offer in wager?" He continued watching her, his arms folded."Rrowr!" Leon blinked at his puppy, then picked him up in his arms, letting Shinta curl up in the excess of clothing of his robe. "I told you to shush, Shinta."

“Be absolute Vahn Gale does not simply take pity,” the iced words conveys. Steadfast. No connection. Waves crashed below. Pastels yet to smear. Unfazed.
“How benighted. I do not wish to compete in such a ludicrous sport. Your bizarre desire to duel me does not allow for gratis rewards.” Rotate on axis. Face away from the opponent into the depths of the crease of sea and sky. “Decide what you would desire for me to stake. I shall conclude if it is on par with your trinket. There is no decree proclaiming my obligation to duel you and thusly I will assert my right to reject.” Incapacity was no justification for incompetence

He simply blinked, chuckling. "You're the one who wants my charm, I'm not going to do all the work for you, girl." He shrugged and looked back out to the ocean as well. He yawned and stroked Shinta's head. "You're an interesting one indeed. Saying you want something, then then changing your mind."

“Truly an imbecile.” Unpleasant. Unsurprising. “I have not the slightest interest in you or dueling. I was merely interested in your necklace to sell at the marketplace. My interest in it has not changed. Your nuisance merely influenced me to not participate in your foolishness.” Silence for thought.
“However as display of goodwill toward Vahn Gale.” Halt. She took off a single earring, pure of gold and jewels, placing it against the rays. “The sheer gold on this item is worth your star’s worth tenfold. The jewels coat the costs much more. Prove yourself and if thusly deserving, Vahn Gale will gain my apprenticeship. Overachieve and you may possibly gain treasure.”
A moment. Spared. Response required. “Accept or decline. Do not regret response and subsequently offer deck name and that who gains first strike if accepting.” Molds serve no purpose when broken.

"You know, even for a woman, you're extremely confusing. First you don't, then you do, then you don't.." He turned and began walking away, Shinta glaring at the woman from the deep folds that hung around Leon's arms. He paused for a second, then looked back at her. "If you really want to duel, then I'll meet you at the Dueling Ring in the school tomorrow, at noon." He began walking away again, laughing quietly. He had no duel disc, Vahn had taken his. However, at the Dueling Ring, none was needed.
"When we meet there, you may go first. As par of the gentleman I am, Ladies always go first." He then continued walking back towards the Slifer Dorms close by. "We need to feed you, Shinta..." [EXIT]
