A young red-haired boy walked along the beach, staring out into the ocean as he'd held a few bags in his hands. His luggage. He'd been dropped off at the pier, but hadn't known where to go after. His natural curiosity forced him away from the rest of his peers. He would look for his room later. For now, he'd take in the natural sights of the island. And, not surprisingly, it was breathtaking. A smile appeared on his lips as he'd noted the clear water and the clean beach. Staying here at the academy would be enjoyable. But, of course, he wouldn't soon be forgetting why he was here.
His parents thought that he needed an outlet. Something to take him out of his shell after the... accident. It's not like he didn't see it coming. It was just that he didn't think they'd send him to a place where he would constantly be reminded of her. Duel Monsters. The reason for this academy's existence. And also the blaring alarm that reality was cruel. She was gone and he really couldn't do anything about it. He knew how she was. If she were here, he'd have to enjoy himself. And, as she'd set in his mind, the rule applied even if she wasn't.
On his shoulder, a furry little white ball seemed to just sit there. It was pressed closely against his neck and, upon closer inspection, had ears and a tail. A pet, it seemed. And an odd one at that. It merely laid on his shoulder lazily and didn't seem to want to move. It was the other thing that made him smile, besides just the scenery. With the combination of all of these things, he seemed to already like it here at this academy.
As soon as that thought had formed in his head, he'd soon realized that his arms were getting tired. Not only from carrying his luggage so far, but because the furry ball on his shoulder was getting heavy for its size. He'd promptly set his bags down and took a seat near them, far enough away to not get hit by the wave, but close enough to get a good view. He'd let off a small sigh as he'd contently moved the furry ball from his shoulder to his lap, chuckling a bit. "Looks like we ended up at a nice place, huh Wiz?" The reply he'd received was a groggy yawn as the creature seemed to smile up at him, ears twitching. This made him smile a little more as he'd turned his eyes back to the ocean.

She was in fact coming back from her bathing in her cave but instead of the refreshment she had been seeking, she had nagging thoughts in the back of her mind. She couldn't get her mind off of the museum piece... her mother's work that had been shattered... and the sudden realization she had come to within the museum. Any of the people there could've been the culprit. And if the legend was true, any of them could...
The legend of the tablet. The elements had been sealed within it. What happened whenever it broke? Presumably they all were let loose when that happened. If it was actually true, as most legends seem to turn out to be these days... She frowned as she stared at the sand, her Slifer uniform clearly shown in the sunlight. Her brown hands were shoved into her pockets and her amber eyes gazed down at the ground. They may as well have another Orichalcos incident on their hands should it be true.
It didn't help that Hathor had been irritable and had had a blinding headache lately either. This was... quite uncharacteristic of her, but she was brooding.

The crimson eyes continued to stare into the blue of the ocean and he hadn't seemed to notice that the furry little cabbit on his lap had hopped off. He was too busy reminiscing. How long had it been? About 2? Maybe 3 years? He was well aware how dwelling on something for that long was unhealthy for both the individual and the people around that individual. However, people would tell him to stop thinking about it, even though most didn't know the pain of memories. How vivid the moment appeared in his mind! Like a flash of light that sought the destruction of his very being! It made him shiver a bit with just the thought of it. His failure to protect the one he loved most in this mortal realm.
Meanwhile, the white furball seemed to be headed in the direction of a certain dark-skinned individual. He gave a soft squeak as he'd approached the feet of the woman and pawed softly at her feet, hopping around her as he looked up with ruby hues. He'd blinked once before starting to lick at the woman's ankles, as if in interest. The cabbit soon went from a lick to a cuddle of sorts. He seemed to take interest in this new person. It'd been awhile since he'd met anyone anyways. "Mew~!"

It was around this time when a third presence was making itself known on the beach. Like the boy with the red hair, he had also only just arrived by boat and now he found himself meandering along the beach with his luggage in hand. That and by judging from the mildly perplexed look on his face, he also didn't have a clue as to where he was supposed to be going. "Sheesh... You'd think they'd send someone to meet the boats. What is this? Gilligan's Island?" the boy muttered to himself as he trudged on. He also looked around in a circle to see if anyone who might be able to help was nearby. No one. Not even a beach hermit.
The boy's name was David Frost and he was a recent transfer student from Duel Academy West. This year would mark his Junior Year at the original Duel Academy, as well as start the beginning of a personal investigation into the strange occurrences happening throughout here and recently in Domino City. Namely... The theft of the Seven Attribute Tablets. His "sources" (for lack of a better term) had informed him that if there was a place to begin his investigations, then it would be here upon this island. It was the real reason why David had requested to be transfered to Duel Academy as soon as possible.
As he continued to walk along the beach (hopefully towards the direction of the campus), he paused to set down his bags and stretch out his arms for a moment. He wore a somewhat ragged Obelisk Blue jacket with a white hood that was pulled over his silvery hair, loose-fitting and faded blue jeans, and a pair of simple black shoes. There was also an old pewter amulet in the vague shape of a cross hanging from his neck. It looked like an old Christian symbol at first glance, but a closer look revealed that it held more of a hammer shape than a true cross. That and it also had a crude wolf's head capping the bottom of the hammer's handle.
"Criiiiipes...!" exclaimed David as he finished stretching out the kinks in his back. "Those boat seats are hard. Felt like I was sitting on a stone bench."
"Don't you think you should be more concerned with finding out where you should be going right now?"
The voice had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, yet David hardly seemed bothered by it at all. Rather than jumping out of his skin like a normal person, the boy merely turned to look at a spot upon his right shoulder where a tiny wolf was now sitting upon it. It's fur was a mixture of solid white and dark grey and was decorated with a design of blue lines that flowed like fire. Metal bracers were worn around the shins of each of its four legs, followed by a metal faceplate that completely covered its eyes. A turquoise mantle hung around the wolf's long neck.
And again, despite the creature's odd appearance, David appeared to be hardly bothered by it. If anything, he only seemed mildly annoyed at having to be reminded that he was lost. "Well if you have an idea of which direction I should be heading in, then I'd love to hear it. You think I like wandering around beaches when I got more important stuff to be doing?" He paused to heave a melancholy sigh and looked out at the sea dejectedly. "They aren't even any pretty girls around here. At least then I'd be able to have some fun while I'm busy being lost."
The wolf only gave a derisive snort and rolled raised his head as if he were rolling his hidden eyes. "In any case..." he started impatiently before gesturing his muzzle at a spot further ahead of David. "I smell another human in that direction. And another one in the general direction. Maybe you can get one of them to guide you to your room."
"Really? Are they girls?" asked David hopefully. Maybe they were buxom bikini babes!
"Only one of them. But don't let that cloud your judgment."
"What's her cup size?"
"Oh, I think she's a- HOW THE HELL WOULD I KNOW THAT!?" the wolf angrily snarled and stood up on David's shoulder. "Just get one of them to lead you to the Academy already! You're wasting daylight!"
"All right, all right already! Sheesh... Someone's a cranky puppy." David grudgingly replied to the wolf on his shoulder, to which the wolf's only reply was a deep growl and a stiffening of the tail. But even so, David knew that his spirit companion was right about everything, so he hurried to pick up his bags and hurried on towards the only other two people on the beach. With any luck, he would find one or both of them soon. The sooner he got to the Academy proper, the better things would be fore him. And maybe... Just maybe... One of them would just happen to be a buxom bikini babe. If anything, it would make the trip here on those rock-hard boat seats alllll worthwhile.

Hathor in her gaze saw beneath her a tiny little rodent who started to lick at her skin. It tickled her a little bit. She kneeled down and blinked, staring at it. She wasn't quite sure if she should shoo it or even touch it at all... it seemed like a pet as it didn't have that scruffy look to it...
And then the rodent meowed.
She blinked once again and started to pick it up, staring at it with a little confusion in her eyes. She hoped she didn't get bitten. She tilted her head and then smiled painfully.
"Cute." She murmered.

The white creature seemed comfortable in the dark-skinned maiden's hands as he'd snuggled up in her grasp and mewed once more, as if trying to lick at her face. He seemed a little eager to meet her, especially since it was rare for the white creature to meet new people. And it absolutely intrigued him. He'd seemed to put on an innocent smile as he'd cuddled up to the girl.
The flame-headed boy had just noticed that his pet was missing, though. He'd taken a quick look around his area and noticed another human being not too far away. And, in this person's hands, was his pet, it seemed. He'd seemed intrigued that the snowy cabbit had warmed up to someone other than him on this island so quickly. It was almost a shock. However, he'd continued watching, not wanting to spoil his pet's fun for now. After all, he enjoyed seeing that his dear friend was happy.

It had only taken a short while of jogging before David had come within sight of the other two people on the beach his duel spirit had mentioned earlier. One of them was a red-haired boy who was carrying luggage of his own. Another new arrival to Duel Academy, or so it seemed. And probably someone who was also just as clueless as David was about where he should be heading. But the other one...the other one....
"HOLY CRAP, WHAT A BABE~!" The words rang as clearly in the silver-haired's youth's head like the great bells of a cathedral. Just the mere sight of her alone, even while she was wearing her normal uniform, was enough to lift David's spirits to new heights of hope and happiness. Dark skin, long legs, curvy hips, and a set of perfect.... C-CUPS! Yes! He'd recognize that breast-size anywhere!
Meanwhile, the tiny wolf from before was still sitting on David's shoulder and looking quite displeased with the look on the boy's face. "Heeeeey...!" the duel spirit growled warningly. "Don't be getting ahead of yourself now. Just calmly walk up to them ask for dir-...!"
ZOOOOOOOOOOM!
That was when David suddenly broke into a sprint that would've made even an Olympic runner green with envy, the white hood of his Obelisk jacket flying away from his silver hair. His legs were moving so fast, they were kicking up a large rooster-plume of sand in their wake. Much to the surprise and obvious annoyance of the poor wolf sitting upon his shoulder.
"-ECTIIIIIOOOONS! OY! SLOW DOWN! FOR ODIN'S SAKE!" cried out the poor duel spirit, his front claws desperately clinging to David's jacket for fear of being blown away like a leaf in a tornado. And yet, a part of the tiny beast knew that it was all in vain. David was all but lost to him now.
"HELLO~!" David called out to the pair of students, his warms flailing his luggage up and down like some creeper from a cartoon. One could almost see the tiny hearts pounding in his eye-sockets even as he ran towards them. What was this? A scene from a bad manga? Apparently so!
But then, just when it seemed that David was about to crash headlong into the beauty, he suddenly came to an abrupt halt and stopped on a dime only a mere two feet away from her. He didn't even notice the odd little creature that was cradled in her hands. But that was probably because he was no stranger to odd little creatures himself. "Excuse me~!" David greeted to the dark-skinned beauty, the little hearts still pounding in his eyes and a big stupid grin plastered on his face. "Pardon me for intruding on you, but I couldn't help noticing your beauty shining so radiantly upon his beach! It was calling to me like a jewel lost upon these endless sands!"
Ladies and Gentleman... David Frost. Mysterious duelist. Lazy bum. And the world's crowned king of corny flirts. Hail to the king, baby.
However, it was at that moment when David seemed to realize what a fool he was making himself out to be. He abrubtly coughed into a gloved fist to regain his composure. Or what could be salvaged of it, at any rate. The poor boy had been so happy to see this fine lady that he had completely forgotten his manners! Along with his dignity, apparently. After taking a deep breath and gathering his thoughts (and his marbles), the boy looked at the dark-skinned beauty with eyes clear of tempting thoughts and spoke again. "Actually, what I meant to say is that I've just arrived off the boat and I saw you and your friend here walking along the beach. Would you mind telling me which path I should take to get to the campus?"
"So uncool..." the boy thought miserably deep down inside. "So uncool."
And meanwhile... The tiny wolf on his jacket was slowly starting to crawl inch by inch up along his back until he had recovered his spot on David's shoulders. If anything, his expression was akin to someone who had just came back from a rollercoaster that he had really never wanted to go on. One could only imagine how big his surprised eyes were bulging beneath the faceplate that covered them. "Damn pervert..." muttered the duel spirit once he had finally managed to get back on David's shoulder. And shake the sand out of his fur.

She normally would've been really amused... as in really really amused. But somehow amusement was not in her vocabulary today. The girl was staring into the eyes of the rabbit and then she slid her eyes towards the man. This was normally not like her. At a perverted man such as this, she would exploit them until they practically died of too many hard-ons at once. Not that that was normally possible. But she just kept the rabbit close to her breasts and looked silently at the man for quite a while.
But then the dark-skinned seductress nodded towards him. She forced a light smile on her face. "Well honey, I think I can help you out with that. You both look like you're new around here." She remarked. Apparently she had seen Lumis, although she had taken no note of him at all. She stroked the rodent behind the ears and she tapped her toe against the back of her heel in her discomfort.
"I'm Hathor Massri... Slifer." She remarked to the pair of them. She rubbed her forehead and her eyes and then yawned. Why would she need sleep around this time? How odd.

Lumis had slowly gotten to his feet and scratched the back of his head, noting the look on the woman's face. She seemed a bit uncomfortable with the current situation. And yet, all at the same time, Wiz seemed to be comfortable in his position at the valley of her... chest. Lumis smiled softly as he'd approached the girl, crossing his arms and nodding towards the introduction presented by Hathor. "I'm Lumis Raonlier. And yes, I am new here. I noticed that my pet, Wiz, seems to have gotten comfortable with you."
He'd chuckled a bit and extended an arm out to take the small creature from Hathor. Of course, he'd need Wiz back. But, if Wiz seemed to disagree with wanting to come back in any way, Lumis would respect his wishes. At least, for whatever time that he was with Hathor. It seemed the little devil had found his place with this Slifer co-ed.
Wiz gave a soft mew and a purr as Hathor pet and cuddled him. He felt like he was in pet heaven and, as he'd noticed that Lumis extended a hand out to retrieve him, Wiz had nuzzled against Hathor a little more, showing his desire to stay with the new friend for a little bit. "Mew~!" His little paws pressed against the center of Hathor's chest as he'd climbed up her body and took a comfortable spot at her shoulder.

"Honey?" David silently wondered to himself. He would've been lying (any man would've) if he had said that the term hadn't conjured up all sorts of fun little images of Hathor in his perverted little head, although it was dampened slightly by the dark-skinned girl's show of discomfort. But only slightly. That was perfectly obvious from the way his expression morphed into a lovestruck smile with little hearts pounding in his eyes. "Oooooh maaaan~ <3....." the silver-haired boy thought in awe as an image of big bouncing bronze breasts materialized in front of his mind's eye.
However, the rational part of his self (and a nip to his ear from the duel spirit on his shoulder) caught up with his perversion and brought his fantasies to a screeching halt. His expression returned to normal, albeit a bit more flustered than before, and he coughed into a closed fist again to regain his composure. That boat trip must have been longer than he had thought.
"Nice to meet you, Hathor. You too, Lumis." David replied to the boy and girl and offered a handshake to each of them in turn. "My name's David Frost. I'm an Obel-..... well, you can tell just by the jacket. I just transferred here from Duel Academy West." He reached up to remove the white hood that covered his hair and regarded them both with a light smile. He also took a glance at the odd little furball that sat nestled in Hathor's chest and reached out to see if it would like to be petted, but then thought better about it. The last thing he needed was to give them the impression that he was trying to oogle or fondle Hathor's breasts. Although, he surely would've loved to under better circumstances.
However, that was when David had a sudden realization. Hathor had said that her full name was Hathor Massri. As in the same Dr. Massri that had discovered the Tablet of the Seven Attributes in Egypt? Could Hathor have some connection to the tablet's destruction or any other clues regarding it? How ironic. He had only been on the island for a few minutes and he had already possibly found a clue for his search. It seemed that his "sources" had proved accurate, after all.
The thought stirred the Obelisk's curiosity and he regarded Hathor with a look that was much different from the lovestruck stare as before. And it was obvious now that he was seeing Hathor for far more than just her exotic charms. Now he looked at her with a cool and serious gaze. One that held both a keen awareness and an analytical mind that seemed very much unlike him only a moment ago. "So is there a walkway or a path that leads to campus around here?" he asked Hathor, his expression slipping back to the same light smile as before. "I was supposed to meet the Chancellor, but he never showed up at the pier."

"Headmistress Force is due to leave and Assistant Headmaster Gale is set to take her place from what I hear. I doubt they have the time. And the Headmistress is a she." Hathor said quietly as she went and stroked behind the rodent's back. She normally was able to talk to people far better then she was right now. The girl however was honestly wishing she wasn't here.
"But there is a walk-way. I can lead you." She said. She looked down at the rodent and then attempted to hand it back to Lumis. "Here you are." She commented... but it didn't seem to want to leave. She tilted her head and then held it again.
"Well, your pet doesn't seem to be leaving me honey, so do you want to come along with?"

Lumis was curious about Wiz's defiance towards returning and wondered what he'd liked about the girl. It intrigued him so much he'd given a small laugh and nodded in response to Hathor, picking up his bags and slinging them over his shoulders. "Sure, I'll come along with you guys. It seems Wiz has taken a liking to you. I hope you don't mind him." He'd pet his little cabbit and walked past the two of them, looking towards the pier that he'd left awhile ago.
Wiz nuzzled into Lumis' pet and returned to cuddling against Hathor's neck. He'd licked lightly at the dark-skinned female and gave a low pur, curling up at her shoulder and getting comfortable. He'd try and stay with her for awhile. After all, her shoulder was comfy.

David feigned an expression of being mollified by Hathor's correction. But the truth was that he was far too busy thinking about the implications Hathor might've had in the events that had occurred back at the Domino City Museum. He knew perfectly well that she probably was never directly involved with what had happened at the museum, but he couldn't overlook her as a possible clue in his search for answers. The fact that Fate had lead him right to her right after he had set foot on this island was not lost on him, either. Far from it, actually.
"Ah... My mistake. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend." was all he said to her as he started to follow her and Lumis to the path she had mentioned earlier. He thought he could see the beginning of it even from where they were at on the beach, and he realized that he probably would've found it eventually without Hathor's or Lumis' help if he had just kept walking in the same direction he had been. It made him feel a bit foolish at first, but he quickly discarded the notion. He had more important things to be thinking about, anyway.
"So Lumis..." David began while trying to set aside his thoughts about Hathor and the Tablet aside. He figured there would come a better time and place to begin asking the girl about that soon enough. He also felt the need to keep up a good appearance. "What brings you to Duel Academy, anyway? Is this your first year or did you transfer?"
Meanwhile, the tiny wolf who sat on his shoulder, the duel spirit, seemed to looking at between David, Hathor, and Lumis as if he were waiting for something to happen. He turned back to David and growled in a low voice, "What are you doing? Why are you asking this boy such a trivial thing? He probably has nothing to do with the Tablet or the reason why you're here in the first place!"
However, David had chosen to ignore the protests voiced by his little companion. He knew that the wolf was right on some levels, but he didn't come to Duel Academy just for the sole sake of finding out more about the Tablet of the Seven Attributes. It was true that it been his biggest reason for doing so, but it wasn't the only one. He hated to think about it, but he had to consider the consequences behind the breaking of the tablet. And if it came down to it... He would need friends who could stand beside him against it. Come what may...
