~“If I could sing and enjoy this, I‘d be Snow White.”
It was quiet, just how he liked it.[/blockquote]
It was morning, and already some classes were held while others seemed to not have them around this time. Not everyone went to classes on a Sunday, and with reason. Most of the time, that was a free day, but not for the more applying student; they would spend time dedicating themselves to their books whether in class or out. In particular, he was in a way one of these students, but at the same time he was not. It only lead him to alternatives such as today.
Xenneth had chosen to be on duty in the infirmary as help today. Most of the time, he would lock himself away in his room and study no stop until he got ready to walk around in which case he would go to this selected isolated areas in the woods or near the beach and do so. In either case, the anti-social geek had spent days like this trying to keep his mind preoccupied, and the sweeping of the brooms wooden thistles along with his sound humming was one way to time travel through the idle moments of the hour as if they were nothing.
Quietly, he had seemed to pass the time as he had continued through the day. It had been two hours since he checked inventory, swept, and collected any packages that were supplies being shipped to the infirmary. All in a day’s work, he had seemed to burn away the first few morning hours until the short hand was running towards the twelve and the minute hand was from it just beginning its rotation. With his hand tossing the broom lightly and himself spinning upon his heel, he had finally whipped around as he had set his attention to the distant bed which he had finished fluffing the sheets.
They wavered lightly as if in a ghostly way. Letting his eyes sweep to the corner of the room, he could see the open window letting in a bright ray of light that reflected off the clean and polished white tiles and could easily hear the sound wind through the silence as it strayed towards the bed sheets. It was a convincing sight to know that his work was done and he was left waiting for the announcement of one of his classes to begin or perhaps he could retreat back to his room and use the rest of the day studying.
Thinking was not something he really wanted to do, eventually forced to confront his feelings about recently.
Duel Academy seemed like a well polished school. They students were very much lively, even if some were not the most pleasant as he noted that with a stroke of his bandaged index finger upon his right hand. He was yet to meet a teacher other than those who assigned him tasks from the faculty office because of him begging for some work to make some excellent extra credit effort, and last but not least, the facilities seemed to be top rated. It had seemed that the corporation was proud of this school, enough so that they would give him a scholarship to attend since a Dueling School experimenting with a Nursing Program seemed to be a very unique thing.
But all that aside, he had realized this was perhaps one of the few first positive thoughts he had since being here. His withdrawn self was usually a burden with the most questionable emotions. Deciding it was best to take his mind off things until time passed, and seeing he was still on duty, Xenneth had thus decided to go to the corner for his white backpack that slanted against the wall in a sluggish manner, reaching in, he had pulled a book out gradually that was one relating to Medicinal Studies and opened it hearing the light crunch from the creases of the book and sighing to himself, he found this somewhat relaxing.
It was not like he would have any patients today, and if he was lucky, he would not considering he was not very much in a rush seeing he was still not quite use to people in this school yet. It was like he was in a school full of aliens…or was it that he was the alien?
