At 5am in the morning, a long girl leaned against the railing that's next to the ocean, awaiting the sunrise. The day should soon begin, as well as her life at the academy. But she is sure she will survive just fine, since it's a fact that she is capable.
The morning air is still a little cool though, and so Emma is shivering a little while getting a jacket from her backpack. The jacket is a light blue wool jacket, and it's her favourite since it matches her hair color quite nicely. She glanced at her watch, and sighed in annoyance. The sun is not going to show itself for at least another hour, which makes Emma wonder why in the world is she out so early.
Emma ran her hand through her pale colored hair, and started twirling it around her finger. The ocean breeze, and the sound of the waves are embracing her mind, as she placidly awaits the classes to get started. And who knows, maybe she will get a chance to teach her less skilled classmates a harsh lesson in the form of a duel as well.

"Classes don't start for another two hours, you should still be asleep. I didn't teach you so that you could let all of my principles go to waste in the cold."
Once again Vahn wandered into another person, though at least it was someone he knew this time. He hadn't seem his cousin for a while now, in fact it must have been almost two years. Vahn threw off his black coat and placed it over his cousin's shoulder as he walked up. It was large enough to begin with so it looked rather ridiculous on her, but there was no point in letting her get sick.
"What do you think you're doing all the way out here alone? Being alone isn't one of the things you should take after me in."

"I don't recall that you ever taught me to not wake up early though, did you?" That was the first thought that crossed Emma's head as she heard her cousin approach her. Ah, the cousin that she had admired in the past, and still do, she guess. However, her decks has gotten better than they had in the past, and she now wonders if Vahn has improved as well.
Emma blushed faintly at her cousin's gesture of giving her his jacket. She knows that it doesn't mean anything, and he was just looking out for her, but she couldn't help but blush a little. "Thanks, but are you sure that you don't need it? It is cold out, after all." After this line, she grinned mischievously and replied, "Sorry to say this, but I seem to have inherited the infamous Gale ego, so I guess I am destined to take after you in the alone department as well."

Vahn chuckled at the thought her her actually being serious about inheriting the 'Gale' gene. He knew that that was just another way for her to say that she wanted to be more like him. As egotistical as that may have seemed, it was the truth. Ever since they were children Emma always attempted to emulate Vahn's mannerisms. All in all, it probably wasn't too much of a good thing.
"My path is a lonely one, not yours. Being alone is nothing to be proud of. How about you try to go out there and make some friends for a change. Haha, and you're right. I'll be needing my cape back. It belongs to all of those who inherit the title of the Red Dragon, but it wouldn't hurt to let you wear it for a little while."
He said and ruffled her hair slightly. Emma was really the only family Vahn had left, and it was only natural that he treated her as such.

Emma playfully pouted as he ruffled her hair, and stated, "Hey... I am not a little kid anymore, you know." In truth though, she didn't mind at all. But she had to show some resistance to that action, as her pride was at stake. However, with that said, she turned to him with a smile and said, "But that's easier said than done though, is it not? Telling me to make friends so suddenly...."
She grinned as she looked back at the vast ocean, and continued her little rant, "Besides, if we are on the same path together, then neither of us will be lonely, am I right? So, I fully intended to follow in your path, cause I adore my cousin." Then, she just laughed at her little speech and started to wonder how he would react.

"I forbid it. I cut your training short because I know where it will end. All you will be left with in the end if yourself and that isn't the kind of life you want, no matter how much you seem to think you do."
Vahn regained his seriousness as he spoke. There was one point in his life where he thought he could train Emma to eventually replace him, but that was a mistake and he realized it soon enough.
"You will learn at the Academy and forge your own path."

Emma nodded slightly at his comments. While she can be quite stubborn, she does respect her cousin enough to take his words to heart. Then, she simply stated, "Very well, I can try, although I cannot guarantee that the success rate will be high." Thinking to herself quietly, she noted that her path just might be coincidentally the same as his.
She laughed mischievously, and continued, "Oh, by the way, you are in charge of finding me a friend, all right? After all, it's kind of your fault that I am on the same path as you are, don't you agree? So take some responsibility." Emma was joking when she said that, of course, although she wouldn't mind if he complied with that. Just as she finished saying that though, she remembered something, and turned back to Vahn and asked, "And how about a duel for old time's sake? Your cousin wants to see how much you have improved."

[As promised I'm using that YVD duel we had XP]
Vahn chuckled as he slowly turned over card after card, reducing his challenger cousin's life points to zero on his very first turn. Surely Emma had gotten better, but Vahn wouldn't witness any of that progress. Not today anyway.
"You see. This is the final design that I have developed. I created it to render any amount of progress or training anyone has done to nothing. What good is it if you can't even play a single card."
It didn't take long after the duel was over for Vahn to revert back to his serious self. This wasn't something he would normally use on his own cousin, but he had to make a point to her.
"The life of the Twelve Dragons is lived in solitude, always watching your back. This is not the kind of life I want for you."

((OOC: That's still cheating ><. You don't get to count a duel IC when we haven't agreed on it beforehand... Then again, you are meant to win though.))
"That was just.... wow." Emma was left speechless at the duel. More so at the fact that she didn't even get to draw a single card. Well, it was obvious that he got even better than last time, and all the more reason to take after him. Well, partially anyways, since he seems quite adamant at her not following his footsteps.
Shrugging slightly at his urging, she simply replied, "All right, if you insist. I do respect you enough to listen to you, you know." Emma grinned and continued on, "But as I said earlier, if you really want me to keep off your path as soon as possible, you are going to have to find me a friend."

"Me find you a friend? Well, I suppose I can take you up on that. It shouldn't be too difficult. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who share similar interests with you. Only one though, then you're in your own."
She was quite stubborn, but then again what else could Vahn possibly expect from his own relative. Still, she needed to find her own way, not walk behind an already cleared out road. Vahn looked up at the sun which was now directly overhead. It was getting closer to midday.
"I think it's time you ran along to class. Being late wouldn't be in your best interests."

As she started to leave the area, Emma stated, "Yeah, I guess, don't want to be late for class. But then again..." Looking back at her cousin, she said, "... never mind that, bad idea. But do remember that you promised though." After a light wave, she continued her way to class and told her cousin, "Well, I will see you later then, Assistant Headmaster Gale."
((OOC: Yeah, ran out of ideas for posting, sorrie T.T))
