The Wind Sings Of A Journey
~~The wind blew through Leon's hair as he sat on the top of a small hill just outside the Slifer Dorm. He was staring down at the ocean, no sunglasses covering his bright green eyes this day. Being his usual reckless self, he had fallen down the rickety stairs of the Slifer Dorm, and instead of going to a hospital, had haphazardly wrapped most of his chest in large white silk bandages, the ends blowing behind him lightly. He was wearing a simple pair of flashy red pants, and no shoes as well.
Leon looked around, slightly suspicious. It had been a while, hadn't it? But he didn't want anyone to hear him...to hell with it. He reached behind him and picked up a small pan flute he had brought with him out of his room before he'd fallen like a clutz. Wincing and grabbing his side from the stretch backward, after a minute he put the flute to his lips and began playing, the melody seeming to drift with the wind...

Camilla pulled herself over the wall of the school as she had done so many times before. She had been told to meet him here today at the school as they often did... though he wasn't usually as firm with the date and time as he was this time. Perhaps something had happen? Perhaps he had hurt himself like the idiot he was? Perhaps he was busy sexxing up some girl in his dorm room, and didn't want her walking in on it?
Well, all of it was possible, as it was Leon we're talking about.
She landed with a thud on the ground below, a small cloud of dust raising from the dirty ground were she impacted. She had better start using a different part of wall to scale... she always landed in the same place, and the grass was really starting to show traces of her traversing it so often. Oh well, not that she really cared... the staff at this school were pretty lax, and she had never gotten into trouble with them about trespassing before.
Between buildings, against walls, and through bushes she ran, a path she had run hundreds of times before. She had met Leon here many many times before... she knew this route like the back of her left hand... which she didn't know as well as her right, but she knew her left pretty damn well regardless.
There he was... the idiot, all bandaged up. Playing those damn pipes again, huh. They didn't bother her... they were just annoying when he played them too often. Hell, even she liked a bit of pan flute music every once in a while, but too much of it was like getting your brain washed with sandpaper.
"Hey there. Looks like you got yourself hurt again, you idiot."
Her red eyes trailed up and down his semi clothing-clad form. She wasn't particularly interested in his features... he was good looking and all, but she didn't really choose who she wanted based on that sort of thing. She was more concerned with how he had hurt himself... again. He was always getting into trouble.

Leon set the pipes down in the grassy knoll once more, leaning back and looking at his old friend upside-down, a goofy grin on his face. He simply laughed quietly and winked at her, pointing at the small dorm behind them. "I tripped. Nothing too bad. Just a strain I think." He stretched and yawned, wincing slightly, then stood up, facing her. He looked her up and down slightly. Still the same as usual. Short as hell, red eyes, short hair. The perfect designed human for what she did best.
"You're a freakin creeper, you know that?" He laughed again and brought his fingers to the white rose at his neck, stroking the petals lightly and absently, not even realizing he was doing it.

Camilla found a nearby wall... not the high kind, the kind that only comes up to about a few feet off the ground, often sitting about chest level for most people. She instinctively hopped up on top of it, holding her arms out to balance herself... She didn't really need the arms, but she did so when she wasn't being fast or trying to be stealthy. Just force of habbit. She had always been drawn to do such things.
Her eyes fell off of his, and she stared off into the ocean from her new vantage point. She had always thought that water was beautiful... but she had never really liked swimming, even if she was pretty damn good at it. She hated the taste of saltwater too, which made the ocean a little less nice than a lake.
"So, whats new with this place? I have been hearing some things around town. You been banishing people again?"

He frowned, folding his arms after standing up and facing her, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, thats funny. You're a real riot." She knew he'd never banished somebody in his life, and never had a reason too. He stretched and winced slightly again, then walked over to her and sat down on the ground, against the wall.
"So what have you heard around town?"

Camilla turned abruptly and dropped, sitting down on the wall so her legs were hanging down over it. The stone was cold on her butt, but it was a nice change from the heat of the day. She was really getting sick of summer... but at least it wasn't freezing cold. She hated winter too... damn, she was really fucked when it came to temperature.
her legs dangled on either side of Leon's head smacking against the wall rhythmically... it wasn't any particular song, but you know how people just hit walls with their feet when they sit on them... even she was privy to the basic tendencies of humans. She didn't kick him, but a few inches in any direction and she risked kicking him in the face.
She leaned forward, so she was looking down at the top of Leon's head. He had such pretty brown hair... it was a pity he didn't do more with it.
"Oh, I've been hearing lots. The shadows aren't very active around here, but I have a feeling that will change soon. The new students this year have a strange aura about them... they're different. I'd suggest you be on your guard around them."

"Ugh. Like I needed more work. You know, when I signed up to watch over this place, I was kind of expecting a quiet job. What the hell were you expecting?" He looked up, frowning. An academy of duelists, how hard could it be to hunt some shadow duelists. They would all probably be students anyway. Sighing, he leaned back and stared at the ocean as well, growling.
"Little squirts with shadow magic. Great. Now I actually gotta risk my life just to keep a place safe. They're dangerous, these little ones who think they're all big." He had been like that once. Thought he had all the power in the world, til he had almost banished Camilla by accident. Since then he'd been very wary of his power.

Camilla smirked, looking towards the nearby Slifer dorm. She wondered just how many shadow users would be coming this year... Last year was a pretty lax year, and they had them all weeded out in a couple of months, making the rest of the year pretty much a breeze. Hopefully this year would be as easy... but she had a feeling that it wasn't going to be.
In fact, she was fairly sure that this year would be a difficult one. Even if the new students didn't carry the shadows, some of them carried SOMETHING... they weren't normal, and when people weren't normal, her job and life got harder.
"Well, when you took this job, I'm sure you didn't expect to just sit around all day playing with your cock? You have things to do, and the beginning of the year is always hard. We have the whole year to get rid of the little fuckers, so you don't have to work too much too early."

Leon just laughed and looked towards the ocean, pondering quietly. It's true, he'd taken the job to weed out the shadow duelists, but still... "Yeah, actually. But no, that's your job." He laughed and looked up at her, winking. They were friends, and sometimes more than that, but perverted jokes were just their thing. "Nice choice of panties today too. I like em." He was smiling as he looked up at her. She had worn a skirt today, which she'd left spread very un-lady like, perfect for looking up into. "My house tonight or yours?" He laughed as he smiled up at her. If at the slifer dorm, the other students would be very happy, as they got to hear it. At her house, it was more private, which he didn't mind at all.

Ah, Leon. Always with the jokes. Just because they had shared a few nights, he always got so cocky about that sort of thing. It wasn't bothersome, but it got annoying every once in a while. Besides, he was hurt, so that would probably a bad idea. She knew she was flashing him, though... not that she cared. People could look all they wanted, it didn't mean they were getting any.
"Not tonight, Leon. We have work to do."
She was pretty tired, to be honest. Running around like she always did really took a toll on ones physical well being. She was tired a lot of the time, and she had been having a lot of trouble sleeping in the past few days. It wasn't very nice, being tired but not able to sleep... perhaps it was connected with the new students at the school? When shadow magic was involved, one couldn't discount any possibility.
"So what are we going to do? Just wait for them to act first, as usual?"

He stretched and stood up, looking up at the sky. "I'll be sitting at the docks for every boat of students that comes in, and see if I can sense it. Other than that, there isn't much else we can do." He yawned and jumped up on the wall, sitting next to her. There really wasn't much else they could do. They made the first strike, then he and Camilla came and cleaned em out. Thats how it always worked, usually with everyone else at the academy none-the-wiser.
