The restaurant was a typical Japanese restaurant in typical Japanese style. She rather liked the look of the place. She didn't much like overly abnormal things in her life. So this quaint little place suited her just fine. She could see high schoolers having supper and couples, families and colleagues. It was just a place for any occasion.
It was one of those restaurants where you could just walk in and sit down, so she did. She found a table for two and then quietly took off her Ra Yellow blazer, revealing her white top with yellow trim underneath. She went to hang it on the back of her chair quietly, a soft smile on her bespectacled face.

Shizuma walked over following Mizuki. The ride there was silent but he kept his eyes on her friend. He had silently asked his friends to keep an eye on things at Academy Island. As he walked in, he removed his trenchcoat and placed it on the back of his chair, revealing a black short sleeveshirt along with his lightly toned arms. As he took a seat with her, he smiled lightly.
"Before we start looking at the Menu...I believe this is yours." said Shizuma as he reached back into his jacket and then pulled out the book he had of hers holding it out for her.

She looked at the book for a moment and then she patted at her blazer pocket. Her eyes widened and she looked back at the book, before sweatdropping.
"I-I must've forgotten it... arigatou goziamasu." She murmered as she took it back delicately. She placed the narrow book into her blazer pocket and then she went to sit down. "I don't know what I would've done if I lost it... my father gave it to me as a birthday present." She said as she reached for a menu to see what the establishment had.

"Well I'm glad I made sure I hung on to it then. I wouldn't want you to be upset over losing it." said Shizuma as he picked up his menu.
He looked over the variety of people around them and also looked at the variety of the menu. They had a lot of things here that Shizuma liked and the list of sushi was appetizing to his pallet. As he looked at Mizuki with a light smile...she was a great girl and he hoped that she would get more comfortable as time went on.

"H-Hai..." She bit her lip and then she opened her menu and looked at the selection on it. She loved the fact that it was more common to have fixed menus in Japan. So she quickly made her selection, memorized it and then put down her menu neatly beside her and folded her hands.
"Wh-what made you d-decide to come to Duel Academy?" She asked him nervously. She was trying to strike up a conversation, and was terrified at the whole matter to be quite honest.

"Because I love dueling...and I figured why not come to Duel Academy and learn all about what I love to do? Especially since we can make a living from it, Haurka-san." said Shizuma with a light smile. "How about you? Why did you come to the academy?"
Shizuma looked over his menu and enjoyed how it looked and wondered what he would pick. Looking over the entrees available he wondered which one would make his taste buds sing the most. His eyes moved back and forth across the menu...occasionally looking over it to have a peek at Mizuki and see how she was fairing.

"I came b-because... well... a shopkeeper in my neighbourhood asked... if I wanted to... he got me into dueling... got me arranged for a scholarship... I thought it was better then taking over the family business from my fathers..." She murmered as she twiddled her thumbs. She blushed a little bit. She had said fathers... what were Shizuma's views on gays?

"Awesomeness...I can see where dueling might seem a lot more fun than taking over a family business...I mean let's face facts...I have not the ability to design clothes as I do designing dueling strategies." said Shizuma with a grin.
Shizuma closed his menu as well and smiled at Mizuki. He had gotten the part about her having fathers...that could mean that her fathers were gay but that was okay. He looked at Mizuki and didn't mind the fact that she had gay fathers...it was okay with him. He didn't swing that way at all but if others did that was their choice of happiness and they were more than welcome to it.

"Designing clothes?" She tilted her head and looked at him with curiousity. She had no idea how fashion fit into dueling at all. However if his parents were in the fashion industry then that explained his sense of clothing... however she wasn't digging the trenchcoat.
"M-My family business is a LGBT nightclub in the Shinjuku ward." She mumbled quietly. "N-N-Needless to say, nightclubs aren't my thing."

"I see...well, that's cool...I don't see why you would want to have a night club as your thing. Right now it seems your idea of a fun night would be curling up with a good book, ne?" asked Shizuma with a light smile.
He couldn't help but think that while Mizuki's parents may enjoy the night life...Mizuki just didn't seem that kind of girl at all. But that was part of what made her cute...he could just imagine the smile on her face as she sat reading. He didn't know the night life that much himself but maybe later on he might. Now that he was older he figured that later on his mother may try to invite him to parties for her company which made him sweat drop.

She started beaming and nodded vigorously at him. "Hai hai! I have a large library. I'll grant you that it's all packed at the moment since I just got back and I have no idea how to fit it around my new roommate but I love it-" She broke off and turned red, bowing her head. "I-I'm sorry, you don't want to hear about that."
She started to look out the window and the sunlight caught on her grey hair, making it look a light violet of sorts. She was still flushed and embarrassed... it was amazing how she wasn't passing out from overwhelming blood loss or something.

"I don't mind hearing about it, Haruka-san. You like books...I'm not surprised you have your own little library. I would come to your room and help you organize if I could but right now I cant because of the dorm rules." said Shizuma with a light smile.
He sat there and just smiled at Mizuki. He wanted her to calm down and just relax. This was a just a time for a calm night out.

"N-Not necessarily... if it's because you're male, I visited a male's room the other day." She turned red and then bowed her head.
"W-Well... not so much visited as accidentally burst into. His room is beside mine... they got rid of the separate boy/girl dorms. I-I thought it was my room... but it was okay afterwards, he wasn't angry." She said as she pushed her fingers together with nerves. She sweatdropped and put her hand behind her head.
"I-I'm such a klutz... I'm surprised I didn't trip on the gangplank to the ferry again." She said with a laugh. "When I was first coming back, I nearly fell in, a teacher caught me and a boy grabbed my book." She wondered about that boy... she really did... but he was scary.

This was yet another moment that Shizuma could look at Mizuki and recognize her cuteness. She was so shy and blushy it was hard not to find her cute. She was like the shy book worm girl out of a magical school manga (Ten points for whoever gets that one ^^). When the waiter came over to take their drink orders.
"I'll have a water please."

"Chai tea, onegai." she replied to the waiter sweetly. Then she glanced down at her table. The table was a very good wood... she found herself knocking on it slightly to see what kind of quality. She was right... pretty good quality. Then she found her eyes wandering back towards her menu and she picked it up, burying her nose behind it.
This boy was very nice, a polar opposite of that other boy she had met on the gangplank. The other one didn't talk that much. She felt chummier with this one. He wasn't as outgoing as that professor but at the same time he wasn't as closed as that Nimbus boy...
This of course was before she had seen his sadness.
She put down the menu and sighed. She was restless. Very much restless. She always was when she was nervous.
