DJ lugged his last bag into his dorm, at least for the time being he hoped. He set up his decorations, necessities, and duel cards up in various spots and got to work on the last bag, putting clothes into his dresser and setting up various plushies and posters as well as things he needed to do his work and research. Once he was done, everything was perfectly out of order, just how he liked it. "Well, that should do for now." He laughed a little, clapping his hands and letting out a bit of a sigh.
He leaned back on his new, very fluffy bed. It wasn't terribly big, but it was extremely soft, almost like he was melting into it. He did a once-over mental checklist as his eyes darted around the room. He had organized things into his two desks on either side of the room and made some vague organizations that had some semblance of order on his shelves and hangers. Under his bed rested more boxes of cards and miscellanous things that didn't fit anywhere else. At the foot under his bed was a small block refridgerator not much bigger than one of the boxes, it couldn't hold much but it could keep snacks and drinks cold for when he had visitors and whatnot.
He hoped his placement was good. He had come to learn a thing or two about dorm life from his previous schooling. He learned that if neighbors were not nice or loud even if they were nice, dorm life could be very difficult, he'd managed to get a single dorm (at least for now) but the neighborly element was still a mystery to him. He turned on his side on the fluffy cloud-bed, letting out another sigh. Perhaps he should have asked for some warning before moving in, or maybe he was just overthinking for nothing.

Her strolling steps were taking her back to her dorm, but unfortunately if there was something the girl was bad at, it was remembering directions. Or asking for them for that matter. None the less she was walking and she could not remember what dorm number she was in. She brushed her hair back and looked in between the two dorm rooms, side by side. One was 154, the other was 156. She couldn't remember which one was hers.
She stood in front of the doors and shuffled in her Ra uniform nervously. Which one was it? She pushed her large thick glasses up her nose and then looked back at the doors again, straightening her sleeve of her Ra jacket. She bit her lip, and then she finally made her decision, choosing the door on the left.
She opened the door and walked inside, sighing as she took her shoes off. Then, as she turned around, she saw the boy on the bed and screamed, jumping back into the door with a loud CRASH!! She pressed up against the door, completely terrified, both at herself and at the fact that... oh my god not only had she gone into the wrong room she had gone into a BOY'S room!
"I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I'm s-s-s-so sorry!" She squeaked, frozen solid and pinned against the door.

DJ shot up as he heard the scream and crash, oblivious to any disturbance before then. He looked over the girl, almost as surprised and phased by her entrance as she seemed to be. He readjusted his clothing that had slacked a bit when he layed down, as if trying to cover up some indecency even though he was fully clothed and even layered. He blushed slightly, seemingly embarrassed for no reason other than having an intruder but still remaining calm. He blinked more, confused by her reaction. He was the one with the sudden intruder, her action was an understandable mistake, and yet she seemed more scared by it than he did.
"... D-Don't hurt yourself." He blinked again, watching her slam and pin herself to the door, concerned that she'd hit her head in her surprise. He'd hate for injury to come from an accident. Things certainly seemed to be getting off to an interesting start for his first day at the academy. Already he had a girl in his room, normally that would be a good thing but this situation was just a bit too weird. "Don't worry about it." He sat up fully before swinging himself off the comfy bed into a standing position.
He smiled warmly as he walked over to the girl in a similar manner someone approached a frightened deer, slowly and without malice. "It's an honest mistake, no need to get excited." He chuckled again. "Since you're already her, why don't you take a seat and relax? You look like you've seen a ghost." He pulled out the seat to his computer desk and offered it to her gently. He didn't want her running out of here screaming, it would make the neighbors wonder about him and question his intentions as well as tempering a possible friendship with this girl, and if nothing else he needed friends at this new place.

She squeezed her eyes shut until DJ's voice came to her ears and then she inched one open. Her body came away from the door, since she had seemed to pin herself against it as if to disappear. Now she wanted to do a lot of disappearing. She hung her head in embarrassment. She had gone into the wrong room, completely frightened the boy, and then acted like a fool... this school was not going as great as she would've hoped. She put her fingers together and pushed them against each other, completely red in the face.
When he approached she looked up and seemed almost a little bit scared, but it was hard to tell with the grey bangs in her face. She pushed up her glasses again, the glasses that almost seemed to magnify her eyes a little bit, and then she watched as he pulled out the chair. He was being... nice to her... especially when she had intruded. She looked at the door apprehensively, pondering just walking away and going into her room and locking her own door. Then she decided against it. She brushed her hair out of the way and awkwardly walked across the room, sitting down in the outstretched chair. Her hands were on her lap and her knees were clenched together. She looked rather stiff and uncomfortable with it all.
"S-Sumimasen... I thought this was my room... I have a roommate and I thought she had left the door unlocked... then you were here and I thought that..." She bit her lip and squeezed her eyes shut. "I thought you were an intruder!" She squeaked out as she bowed in her chair. "Sumimasen!" She called meekly, her voice barely more then a whisper.

"Summywhatnow?" He blinked, utterly confused by her formalities, but understanding the situation nonetheless. It was as he thought, an honest mistake. There was no way hed fault someone for that so the friendly smile never left his face as he pulled up the chair from the drawing deck and moved it closer before sitting down so they could converse properly. He adjusted his own glasses and chuckled, although it was an unfortunate misunderstanding, he couldn't help but laugh a bit about how the situation turned out.
"Don't worry about it, no harm no foul I always say, well not me, but someone who plays sports and understands that stuff I guess." He rubbed the back of his head nervously. "Just a misunderstanding, besides, it's good to get to know your neighbors." He grinned to himself, considering he had just been thinking about such things, he had odd luck like that. "Although I admit this isn't an ideal introduction, I'm happy to meet you anyways Miss, I'm DJ Reilty." He slowly extended a hand, obviously nervous as well but trying to pretend to be confident for the shook-up girl.
"You have a roommate, eh? I hope I get to meet her too sometime in classes or something." He added as an afterthought, tapping his cheek lightly, wondering if she was as meek as her roommate or if it was more of an odd couple arrangement. "I just got moved in and settled a few minutes ago myself, so it's nice to have a visitor to help pass the time, can I get you anything to drink?" He put on a hospitiable voice and waved to the fridge under his bed. He sounded like he had some idea of what he was doing even though he had hardly ever entertained before and probably didn't. Maybe she'd calm down if she had a drink, typical male solution.

"It means 'forgive me'..." She murmered. She had said it in perfect English as well. Clearly she had studied languages. She hung her head and looked down at the ground, shuffling her feet in her nervousness. She twiddled her thumbs and was obviously quite taken aback with herself. She was still stiff-shouldered and still wishing she could just disappear.
But then he introduced himself and she learned several things. The first thing was that he was Irish. That was an interesting thing. It was hard to tell these days. She had known he was Caucasian but not what area he was from. Perhaps she was even wrong with the last name. She looked back up and then looked at the hand through her glasses. She then took her hand and put the small thing in his, shaking it slowly as if she was unsure of herself.
"I am Mizuki Haruka." She said frankly. If they were neighbours, then he was right and they should get to know each other. "I'm a returning student." She bit her lip and then looked up at DJ, trying to put a smile on her face. It came out as a slightly strained yet genuinely cute smile that had all of the shyness that she herself possessed.
"My roommate is new as well... I think she would like to meet someone other then me." Mizuki saw where he waved to next and then looked at the mini-fridge. Her smile widened and softened a bit. "Yes, of course, thank you." She said. Of course, she had said everything since 'Forgive me' in English. Clearly she was an intelligent girl who caught on quickly.

"Oh, that makes more sense then..." He chuckled lightly, rubbing the back of his head again at his own stupidity. Despire going to a mostly japanese school and being almost half japanese himself, he'd never learned a word of the language. He put his warm smile back on as he shook her hand lightly, being gentle as not to frighten her further.
"Nice to meet you Mizuki." He giggled lightly at her smile, there were just certain expressions that were exceptional and individual to each person like that which he found charming. He felt slightly less apprehensive about being at this new place now that he could at least meet the people living close by. "Hmm, is that so?" He chuckled to the comment about her roommate. "In that case I'll have to be sure to stop by and say hi sometime. Which room is your guys anyway?" He pointed both his hands out to the side, fingers pointd outward to indicate which room she was in. He assumed she only missed by one room or else she really did have a bad sense of direction.
He stood up slowly, still acting slow and deliberate as if she'd run if he made a sudden movement like walking around a squirrel or something. He walked over to the mini-fridge and bent over to open the door, turning his head back to her with a smile. "What's your prefference? I've got soda, water and juice." He picked out a coke for himself and waited for her decision. "Hmmm... so this isn't your first year here? Must be nice to be slightly less confused than all us newbies." He laughed a little. "What's it like around here?" He tilted his head in question.

She pointed in one of the directions and sighed. "One fifty-six." She said to him in English. She figured she'd just speak in that to him from now on. How he thought he would function without a proper grasp of Japanese in a Japanese school was anyone's guess though... She brought her hand back and put in in her lap, clasping her hands tightly together. She stayed in her seat, although her knees were still very tightly clenched together.
"I-I-I would like a soda please..." She murmered quietly. She'd tolerate some caffine for today. Perhaps it would get her to calm down. Though that seemed to be a little bit ironic. She kept her lip bitten and her hands clasped until his next question.
"Y-Yes, I was here last year... It's nice... crowded but nice." she murmered shyly.

"Oh, well then I'll have to pop in and say hello sometime." He giggled lightly and picked out another soda from the fridge before turning back to sit back down, carefully handing her the extra while popping open his own top. "Not sure how cold it is, just started the fridge when I moved in." He chuckled, holding the can to his lips. "To a new year." He smirked and took a drink.
"Hmm, well crowded isn't always a bad thing, At least we all have an oppurtunity to meet new people, although I suppose that means classes are big too..." He tapped his cheek lightly in thought, shrugging it off. He hoped he would be able to make lots more friends soon but was happy that he was able to meet some nice people right off the bat. "Oh well, guess I'll just have to see for myself, ya know?" He laughed a little, sighing and shaking his head.

She looked towards the side. "If you like people it's nice but a lot of people isn't for me." She said. She however didn't forget her manners and held up her pop with a bow of her head. Then she popped the tab and took a delicate drink from it. Surprised, she realized she had gotten some fuzzy cola on her lip and she brushed it with her pinky finger delicately before she crossed over her leg.
"You will have to make your own judgment." She said shyly before she stared into her own drink. She pressed her thumb into the can and then back out, hearing the pop that it made into the can and watching the dent pop back out as she did so. She sighed.
"And some of them are... too much of dueling junkies. I... I know it's a dueling school but there's other things important about dueling besides the game itself..." She mumbled.

DJ chuckled lightly as he listened and nodded, watching her play with the can, she seemed to be easily amused and bored at the same time. He hoped he wasn't boring her or anything or else he'd have to let her go soon. She certainly seemed different, an odd combination of quirky and normal that he found amusing. "I like people just fine normally as long as they're not obnoxious." He laughed a little and shook his head, taking another sip from his own can.
"I suppose I'll see for myself once my classes start." He smiled cheerfully, despite her interpretation he was hopeful that the people would be nice and coming her was going to be a nice expereince. Hopeful, if not a bit aprehensive. "Well I can handle a good duel now and then, but hopefully some will calm down once the semester gets into things heavily. Can't duel all the time if you gotta study too, right?" He chuckled nervously, partially to her but mostly to himself.
He sighed and shook his head, swishing his can a bit. He was getting more nervous as time went by. He was sure once his classes started it wouldn't be so bad and he'd get over it, but at the same time he couldn't fight this feeling of initial nervous hesitation. "Oh well, hopefully everything will be okay, right?" He smiled nervously.

"Y-Yeah... I don't know about that. I-I haven't seen some people from my last semester but I doubt they could ever be calm..." She furrowed her brow. "It's just a card game. There's nothing all that overly large about the whole matter." She sipped her soda once again and then she cleared her throat.
"I-I find a lot of the people around this place loud and obnoxious." She then hid her face. "E-Even though that's mean to say, a lot of them act like ch-children..." She mumbled quietly into her pop can. She shuffled her feet from side to side in her nervousness as she began to tense up again. "I-I suppose I get used to it by the end of the year, and then there's new people next year and I get..." She bowed her head. "Sumimasen. I get tense when there's a lot of new people and so the beginning of any school year is a bad time for me."

He chuckled lightly and nodded, indeed it was the biggest game in the world, but it wasn't the whole world itself, some people needed to learn to calm down and reprioritize if their life revolved around a card game when there were so many more important things. "Yeah, I suppose that's true." He smiled a little as he watched her.
"Don't worry about being mean, it's just us here and honestly some people are just like that. Everyone needs a chance to vent every now and then." He watched her nervous reaction, sighing lightly and shaking his head, smiling, some people were also quiet and underconfident, not that he had room to talk, he was like that most of the time too. "Beginnings are always hard, for everything, but especially for school. There's new people, new teachers, new classes, and the chore of organizing them all in your mind and life, so it's a bad time for anyone, don't feel bad." He gave a friendly smile.
"The trick is that you have to get through it and have faith that the part that comes afterwards will be better, nothing else you really can do." He smirked and chuckled.
