A new year.
That's what Amy Morrison had been waiting for, for quite some time. A new era, some old faces returning, but many new faces appearing as she once again practiced the art that is instructing the bright pupils on the nature of the undefined.

It's not like she didn't have help, of course. Mia, the professor's spiritual partner and Maiden of the Aqua, also felt a deep connection to this place. It was here that they had met, faced evil and watched it fall. It was here that young boys and girls found peace, solace, even curiosity from the shadows of the unknown.
It was the start of a new year.
Time to start fresh, letting go of past failures.
Dream, hopes, and aspirations would be made and shattered countless times over the next nine months.
But right here, right now, none of it mattered.
