Lunaris is an extremely confident person in nearly everything he does. When dueling, he is never afraid, for he knows that he will turn things around into his favor soon. When he loses, he is very happy, and takes his losses as having found an amazing duelist worthy of recognition. He enjoys power, and he very much enjoys watching his opponents squirm before his might. Outside of dueling, Lunaris enjoys teaching others what he knows. He leads by example, and has excellent leadership skills, making him a natural leader. He is a very charismatic speaker with a lively voice. When teaching groups, he will usually jump around excitedly, especially during the main points. His social life is fairly balanced. He never turns away anyone who might visit him, and when he goes out, he is always with friends (usually girls). Lunaris is also extremely prideful and competitive, and has a bit of an ego. Should anything finally strike the right nerve, his temper is quite explosive, usually abated only through a duel.History:
Lunaris Yaritz was born into a broken Japanese family. He was raised by his mother, as his parents had divorced literally days before his birth. Never once did he meet his father, nor did his mother tell him anything about him. Times were tough, and making a living in the lesser sections of Japan was even tougher. As he grew older, Lunaris was the only thing keeping his mother’s head held high. He was always cheerful and optimistic, even when they had nothing at all to eat. Just after his 12th birthday, his mother fell off of a ladder and broke her right leg, rendering her unable to work for months. At this point, Lunaris jumped up and dove into the work force, starting his career as a roofer. He worked and worked, but barely made enough to get food for his mother and himself.Status: Academy Staff
On his 16th birthday, a young man in a white overcoat came through the city to oversee the building that Lunaris was currently roofing. It wasn’t anything huge, just a simple penthouse, really. But this man seemed to need everything on this house to be perfect, and no mistakes would be allowed. Today was the last day of the deadline, and so the construction workers were scrambling to ensure all was complete. The end of day bell rang just as Lunaris finished laying the final shingle. When he climbed down, his mother was there to meet him with a small gift she had obtained. He accepted it gratefully and opened it, revealing a single, thin card. The color of its face was white. At the top of the card were 8 stars, and directly beneath them was the picture of a powerful red dragon. The name of the card read “Red Dragon Archfiend” in gold lettering. Lunaris held the card up, allowing the setting sun’s rays to reflect off of the holographic picture. “It’s beautiful, Mother, thank you.” He hugged her, then turned as he felt a tap on his shoulder. In front of him stood the man whose home they had just finished building.
“I hear you are responsible for the roofing of my penthouse.” Lunaris smiled and extended his hand, and the two shook. “I just finished inspecting the roof, and you did an excellent job! Now, I also see that it is your birthday. How old are you?”
“I am 16, sir!”
The white-coated man pointed to Lunaris’ new card. “Do you know what that is?”
“No sir, actually, I don’t. I just thought it was a beautiful piece of art.”
The man went on to explain how it was actually one card in a game of thousands of different cards just like it. He then reached to his belt and pulled out a small stack of cards and handed it to Lunaris. “Here. Consider this payment, as well as a birthday gift for a job well done.” The man nodded once, then turned and walked away.
That day would always be remembered by Lunaris as the day his life changed. Suddenly, roofing meant nothing, and though he continued to do so, he couldn’t help but feel that he was meant for bigger and better things. He discovered that there was a group of street duelists in his neighborhood, and he began joining them for practices, and soon, for tournaments as well. A couple years passed and he was finally good enough to compete in Underground Duels for money. His mother never knew that he was out playing a children’s card game for money, but she didn’t complain when their funds began to grow. Lunaris later acquired his first duel disk, although it was a rusty, run down item. His renown began to grow throughout the city, and soon he became known as one of the top duelists of the region. Now he knew roofing could no longer satisfy him.
At the age of 20, Lunaris headed off to a small college in Tokyo , relying heavily on scholarships and grants to get him there. He learned the ways of business and technology, and after 6 years, he had his degrees finished. He immediately began working for a computer company, selling and fixing computers and anything technology related. Soon, the big bucks began rolling in, and at the age of 31, he separated from the company and began his own.
First, his company was nameless, and had very few products to offer. He stuck with repairs for a start, but knew that couldn’t be all he offered if he wanted to grow. He began to tamper with his duel disk and soon his mind began working on new designs and new technologies. Currently, a new duel disk of his own design is under development, and its release just might change the way the game is played. Because he was specializing in duel disks, he decided to dive into the dueling industry. He also is beginning to invest in space technologies, and as such his company has skyrocketed in the past two years. His company, Yaritz Inc., is now ranked the 4th biggest industry in Japan , and is swiftly climbing in rank. His goal is to bring his company to the top, even to rival Kaiba Corp, which is ranked Number One.
Although he does head Yaritz Inc, Lunaris knew he couldn’t keep his knowledge to himself, and so he has begun to pursue the one thing that would ensure the future success of the next generation: Education. Lunaris applied for a teaching job at a local Duel Academy of great renown, one set up by Seto Kaiba himself. This was, in a way, a bold move, and could have been taken as a challenge to Kaiba Corp itself. Whether it was taken as such or not is still unknown to him, but as for now, all seems well. He was accepted as a teacher of Deck Construction, and was placed as head of the Ra Yellow Dorms. He seems to have found his true calling, and he thoroughly enjoys teaching the younger generation his secrets.
Lunaris does enjoy a nice social life, and can often be seen enjoying the town at night during his free time.
Lunaris runs a deck based around Red Dragon Archfiend, and is currently researching an even stronger version of his deck….one that would even make the Egyptian Gods that Seto Kaiba adores so much cringe in fear.

Ah, the smell of success! Lunaris opened a bottle of champagne as he sat at his desk in the classroom. He stared at his computer screen with a big smile on his face. "Well, well, well. It seems we may be jumping ahead of the competition soon." He poured himself a glass and raised it towards the screen, then drank his share. "To the underdog in the game of business!" Lunaris smiled, then stood to his feet and left, locking the door behind him.Additional Information:
On the computer screen, a company logo was set behind a large, red, blinking word "SOLD". Texts underneath the image read of congratulations to Lunaris upon his purchase. Lunaris Inc. was now the proud owner of Industrial Illusions.
Lunaris enjoys high-end products, and usually can be seen in a brown Armani suit and red, silk tie during work hours. Outside of work, he wears all black, including a long black overcoat complimented with his company’s logo on the back.
His duel disk is custom made: A crossbow-style frame, trimmed with a dark red border. The life point counter is a dome of the same dark red material. This red material also runs along the edge of the wrist dome and trails down onto the wrist band. Some say that the red material is natural ruby…others say that it is some other form of rare material. Only Lunaris knows exactly what it is, and he prefers to keep it that way for now. ((once i can scan some pics into the computer, I will post pics of the new duel disks his company is creating, including his own duel disk))
Recently, during his employment with Duel Academy, Yaritz Inc. has bought out Industrial Illusions, a major undertaking that may just give him an edge over the other companies in the near future.
