DING-LING
The door to the entrance of the Card Shop swung open and a beautiful red-head stepped in. She wore a long gray skirt that reached to her ankles, and a light blue blouse with a ruffled collar. The shirt showed a little cleavage, but not enough to be called sleazy. Pinned to her shirt was a badge, revealing her to be the Assistant Nurse of the campus. The name on the badge read "AMI".
Ami smiled as she stepped inside, looking around at the walls of the store and on to the shelves. Cards, packs, deck boxes.....these and more were littering the shelves, and she couldn't wait to see what cool things she could get. She had quite a good balance in her account....being undercover did come with its benefits. The new banlist was out, and some cards that hadn't been allowed for ages were suddenly coming back. It was time to do a bit of shopping! Her phoenix deck, she knew, would flourish in this format, especially with all the destruction being allowed. Dark Hole would be one of her ace spells, giving her the chance to destroy her own Phoenix as well, leaving her with a monster no matter what! Just the thought of it excited her! Combined with the reviving abilities of her zombies.....her deck would be a force to be reckoned with! All she needed were some upgraded cards....

The owner of Kaiba Corp. landed on the island in her private jet again. With a new semester, she needed to drop by the academy and do some periodical check-ups because of what happened before, during the Winter Break. School was uneventful during the Summer, but perhaps activity would start up again once students came back. Paranormal activity. She'd worn a previously popular dress that just covered several inches below her crotch, holding a familiar bag, a small white sweater, and a cute hat that brought the entire thing together. Since nothing seemed to be happening around the academy, perhaps she would cruise around her favorite locations on-campus. With the sound of the bell ringing as she'd walked in, Haruna entered the card shop, one of her own, more personal ones from her childhood, wondering what was happening now. She'd come here a lot back when she'd attended the academy and it was full of memories with her handing boys their asses and flirting with them to distract them. It was also full of her losses and her failed decisions which cost her duels. Along with those memories were memories of the things that happened here late at night...~ Those were the fun ones~ Beyond that, though, Haruna came in to update her deck, which was starting to gather dust. She wasn't proud to say that it was... lacking in the meta-game, but it didn't bother her. After all, she fostered and encouraged originality and ingenuity. Both were almost dead in the current times, though, so it was hard. What she didn't expect to see in the shop, though, was a hot red-head in what appeared to be a dress and a blouse that showed just enough cleavage to give Haruna imaginations of what could occur. Haruna almost instantly entered her flirting mode, flourishing her outfit with style to be noticed and walking towards one of the display cases nearby this particular red-head pretending not to notice and looking through the cards. This was a tactic that she'd employed once in awhile, but didn't use often. She preferred a more straight-forward approach. But she supposed that, this time, this would be the one to use.

Ami picked up a couple newer packs and placed them in a handbasket that she'd picked up on her way in. With plenty of funds, she wasn't going to go wanting here. Behind her, the door chimed as another person entered. Ami was sure this store got plenty of business, so she didn't bother to turn and see who had come in. She figured it was just another student anyways.
By the time she was finished with this one isle, Ami had already thrown 15 different kinds of packs in her basket. Some she got more of than others, mostly the newer ones. She already had quite a collection of cards back at her dorm, and so she didn't need so many of the older ones. The newer ones, however, had plenty of brand new cards that just might help out her Phoenix deck. Finally, she moved on to the next isle, where a young woman was standing, minding her own business. This isle was full of single cards, both commons and rares. Ami found a group of spell cards that caught her attention. The section just happened to be right in front of the girl, and so Ami put on her most polite front.
"Umm....excuse me please. May i just take a look at a couple of those cards in front you? I don't mean to be a bother."

*ding~ling*
Margaret Plobet had a deck, and a good one she thought. But having one good deck didn't do much to help her confidence. If that one didn't work, she wouldn't be going anywhere...so she would need enough to make something else; just in case.
"Umm...can either of you help me?" All the girl saw were two adults, although one of them might see something more in the cute ra student.

Haruna turned to see that the red-head had approached her. Good~ things were coming together~ "Of course you can take a look at these cards~ So, what dorm are you in~?" Haruna feigned a slight ignorance. She was well aware that the red-head was older than the students, so she must've worked on the island. Of course, Haruna knew just how much older women liked to be mistaken for younger women. She also knew that it could sometimes backfire. So, in a sense, she was gambling on this this girl's reaction. Most of the time, however, Haruna won her gambles. Not to mention the fact that, as a staff member of the school, she'd have to know at least of Haruna's existence as her boss and owner of Kaiba Corp. Then again, a lot of people didn't seem to know her. In her head, she'd given a soft sigh, wondering what she'd done to deserve the ignorance that people fed her.
It was then that she'd heard someone else enter the shop as she'd stepped away for the red-head to see the display case. An actual student this time. She was wearing the Ra colors. Haruna saw a lot of that in her years at the academy. Good times...~ "And what do you need help with~? Considering you've just walked in, perhaps you need input on something or an opinion~?"
As she'd said this, she was examining the girl. She was a cute blonde, much like herself. Of course, she was also much too young for Haruna. Not that something like that would stop her every now and then. It seemed that today was a good day, though. Two cute ladies in one card shop~ Who'd have thought~? It was around this point that Haruna decided that she'd visit the island a lot more.

As the young woman turned to give her permission, Ami was startled. Haruna Shizouka! It was her boss! The very owner of Kaiba Corp! And though Ami really only had her boss at the CSI headquarters, she still was responsible to report to Kaiba Corp as well as to the chancellor of the academy. Her mind panicked a little, and she reverted slightly to the kid she'd used to be when she was still a student.
She'd suppressed a gasp, and immediately bowed in respect. "Shizouka-sama! It's a pleasure to see you here!" As she straightened herself, she realized that Shizouka had asked her what dorm she was in. Ami blushed brightly and spoke a little uncomfortably. "I-I'm not really part of a dorm. I'm just a Nurse Assistant here." Well, at least she still LOOKED young enough to be part of a dorm....and that made her happy. She just thought the head of Kaiba Corp might have seen that already, so she was taken by surprise. She wondered if the company was even aware of her being undercover in this area.

"Umm...I'm looking for a deck idea...just in case what I have doesn't work out. Figured i should buy some packs and see what comes of it. Any ideas on what's hot?"
SHe could tell the two older women were looking at her with mixed reactions. They seemed nice enough...but the Ra girl preferred talking with people her age. So she's just stay simple for the moment.

"I'm glad to know that such a lovely and attractive nurse works at the Infirmary, then! The kids must love you~" Haruna gave a small giggle and moved out of the way to give her employee access to the singles that she'd needed. "So, you know my name, but I'm afraid that I don't know yours~ Mind telling me?" Of course, Haruna saw the badge not too long ago and knew her name to be Ami. Of course, however, this helped build employer-employee relationships further. And Haruna liked to be friendly with everyone. Especially her employees.
And then there were the students. A lot of them were fun-loving and loved to duel. Others were downright serious. Haruna had more fun with the former, but didn't mind talking to the latter. At least, this student seemed like a combination of both types of students, so Haruna decided that talking to her and giving her advice would be a good idea~ "A deck idea, hm~? Well, what d'ya like~? Have another deck that I can compare a new idea to~?"

"Oh hai!" Ami quickly bowed again. For some reason she felt a need to impress her boss. "My name is Ami Suzishima! I graduated from a duel academy similar to this one just a few years ago, while maintaining Obelisk status the entire time. I then moved on to college and...." she paused for a second, as she had just been about to divulge her true job. That would be a very bad thing to do right now, though she was sure she might end up giving herself away at a later time and place. "And i became a nurse assistant here."
At the question of the younger student, Ami turned and smiled. "Well, the new format consists of much card destruction.....i might recommend a removal deck, or even a Stardust build. Those would probably be your best bets."

The girl nodded. "I currently run a wind-based deck, and with stardust dragon being one of the best wind monsters around, it seemed like a natural fit. I also found one of these..." Feeling notably more confident, Margaret fanned out her deck and revealed a card: Stardust Road.
One could only imagine how many packs the girl had cracked to track that card down.
"Basically I just play whatever monsters I can and use fetch effects until I can land a game winner. I think...I think the part that holds it together is that I can chain summoning effects back to back so I can always have at least one monster to tribute for Raiza or something; and this is the card that really lets me pull it off." With a click and wrist snap, the yellow duel disk whirring to life as its owner slapped a card on to the disk, revealing itself to be Wynnda, Miko of the Gusta.
If one paid atention to such things, they'd notice an eerie similarity between monster and duelist. It was almost as if they were in the same confident yet restrained pose, hair tied up behind them and bright eyes.
Were it not for the difference in hair color and clothes, they could almost pass for twins.
