Kayla carried at her side a roller suitcase filled with memories from home, and nothing much else. She hadn't exactly come from a wealthy family and so she didn't have much to bring with her. It would be intresting how she would attempt to fit in amongst the other Obelisk students, most of whom were characterised by much more "well-off" backgrounds than herself. Her most important baggage however, lay in her pocket. A photo of herself, Alexander and Ishizu on the day they were adopted, as long as she had that, Kayla always felt that little bit safer.
Coming from sunny down under, Kayla had never been witness to snow. So when she exited the main building on her way through the courtyard to find her way to the Obelisk Dorms and found herself feet deep in snow she couldn't help but think of how very different this place from all that she knew. She would survive though, she would adapt, she always did. She lifted her bag up to her side and began carrying awkwardly just above the snow.
She had gone only ten or so metres when she inevitably tripped and landed face first in the snow. After a few moments of scolding herself she tried to get back up, as she did so she felt a strange warmness in her left hand. Uncurling it she found a strange pink-red gem that emmited some kind of warmth. Kayla had never been able to afford real jewllery before and so she gazed at the gemstone in wonder for a moment before putting it in her pocket and continuing along her way towards the Obelisk Dorms. "Oy, oy." the man said as he quietly sighed to himself, while he walked out of the dorms into the snow a small breeze following afterward. He immediately grasping his arms with a quick shiver. "Brrrrrrrr!" he exclaimed in a comical manner forgetting his long coat back in his bag. He then slowly turned to close the dorm doors before he heard a small shuffling within the snow, Vince just chuckled and ran to the female laughing as he did. "Come, come women shouldn't be doing heavy lifting." he said with a hearty chuckle, and reached his hand over with his open hand to offer his aid after he saw her fall.
"Hurry before it gets too cold." he said with an alluring smile, his blond strands fell in front of his sapphire eyes. His body was relaxed as he hid his slight shivers, while his feet sunk into the snow. He brought his second hand to rub the back of his head ready to grab her bag and head to the dorms to move her in. "Come, come hun." he said with a following chuckle.

Kayla frowned but she wasn't one to obkject to any sort of assistance. She kept quiet and made no effort to stop Vincent from commandeering her rather light baggage. Instead she studied him as he did so, it was apparent that he was in the same dorm as her and if she had been blessed with a normal life she probably would would have considered the fact that he was rather cute to a much further degree... she just didn't have the time for that sort of thing.
"Thanks, I guess... I'm Kayla."
With that said she began to follow him towards what she assumed were the dorms, seeing as that was were her mysterious "rescuer" had come from. She looked over the building and almost gaped... it was enourmous! She'd never seen anything like it before. They must have been able to fit at least five hundred people inside... She tried to keep a straight face lest she show weakness to the boy next to her and so covered it up with a question.
"And you are?" [/blockquote]

As Vincent grabbed the baggage he looked up at her wandering eyes and smiled once again, "You must be one of those kinds of people." he said with a slight smirk but then shrugged as they walked into the dorms. They were huge huh he thought to himself as he looked over and saw her sudden reaction to the dorms. It wasn't much but even she couldn't ignore the extreme sophistication of what was Obelisk Blue. "Well lass, it looks like your lucky day." he said with light smile before looking away from her leaving the sentence out in the open to see if peeked her interest on why she may be lucky.
His blond strands continued to brush against his head several times as he made a few turns before his lips separated once more. "So, which one is yours? And do you need a roommate?" he said with a halfhearted tone, laughing afterward. He learned how to make a big joke out of everything. Despite whether people laughed or not that didn't matter much to him. His azure orbs then turned to eye her to give a slightly serious look to her.
Despite his normally aloof nature he was also semi-serious. Seeing he was the only Obelisk blue without a room he spent his time outside or in other people's dorm rooms, but he normally slept in the trees and took baths in the rivers. However this was all menial since no one knew anyway, but he still had not given his name to the female as they walked through the halls with a slow stride. "Be proud of being an obelisk mi amor," rolling off his tongue with his usual style before sighing contently, "My name is Vincent lass, nice to meet you Kayla." wrapping his gentleman's tone around the words with such fluency before turning to continue to walk to the dorm number she specified.

She turned to him with something caught in the middle of a glare and a gaze, she hated being generalised. She'd been through enough of that sort of crap before and she wan't one to take it lying down. But had it been intentionally offensive... she couldn't tell, but this boy seemed to have a self confidence that bordered closely to arrogance. Thinking more deeply about it she realised he was probably just trying to make small talk, she hadn't exactly offered much in that direction herself. It was obvious he'd caught her staring if only for a moment but she wasn't one to let her guard down after one break through. His next comment confused her, she decided to let it hang, perhaps bring it up again later in the conversation...
As they continued on their way to the dorm Kayla decided that this boy was rather well... annoying in his own way. She would not deny he had a certain charm that most of the girls she knew would probably fall for but at the same time he strange manner and somewhat "arrogant" attitude got on her nerves... at the same time though she found herself somewhat intrested in the boy... why she had no idea. At the prospect of rooming she actually genuinely considered it. Having a roomate would help her get to know the schoolgrounds better, and the sooner she learnt the lay of the land the sooner she could focus on what she really came here to do. She decided in favour of rooming, but kept her cool as she replied.
"193, I don't mind if you room... not like Iv'e got much to set up. I'm not helping you move you're stuff inside though."
She rolled her eyes out of Vincent's sight. He'd taken his time to reply to her question. They would have been walking for at least a few minutes now... And lass? What kind of teenager uses the word Lass? He was probably a pom... She continued along the corridoor however until they finally reached her dorm and she motioned for Vincent to join her inside.
"Coming in?"
((Ill have to apply for a dorm before we can continue...)) [/blockquote]

"I've got less than you lass." he said turning to her as they continued to walk down the halls before they finally arrived at her room. He snickered lightly as he reached over to the back of his head and began to scratch between his auric strands. He was slightly caught off guard that she didn't mind rooming, but he was totally cool with it. Finally! he thought looking forward to a warm bed and such he then chuckled lightly as another thought stroked his consciousness. "What if it's a single bedroom Kayla?" following with a wink and a playful gasp before he closed his eyes with a coy grin another faint chuckle afterward.
As she then invited him inside the room, Vince just simply snickered bringing her bag in with another grin as he stared at her with sapphire orbs. "That's what she said." with a child like smile, but genuine and mischievous in its own way, while he walked inside of room 193.
(Sure but they seem to be slow when it comes to the dorming situation. You may just want to apply with the description of said room, and then start a new thread anyway called 193 or something and make it closed for Rping.)

((Meh, lets just continue it here.))
Kayla seemed suprised at first that this boy claimed to have less luggage than herself. he would have to have... well pretty much nothing for that to be true. She was beggining to let down her guard around this boy and made a strong mental note to prevent such a weakness in the future. At his next comment she stopped, turned on her heels and stared at him blatantly for a moment.
"Then you sleep on the floor."
Satisfied with herseld she turned and made her way inside room 193. She heard Vincent mutter something, not catching enough to understand whatever intentions he'd had behind it. She ignored it and moved on inside, her eyes widening when she caught sight of what lay before her. Kayla had heard of luxury when she'd won the scholarship back home... but this was ridiculous! Two bedrooms both with ensuites and a view that would have cost hundreds of thousands by itself! She made her way towards the immense glass window and stared out over towards the ocean. Her the sun was setting, back home it would only just be rising. For a moment she felt homesick... then snapping back out of it she turned to Vincent.
"Looks like we won't be having any rooming trouble."

Despite her harsh answer Vincent had a massive smile on his face, "Awww, your breaking my heart lass. Lucky your such a beaut." his accent coming out a bit as he just continued to grin at her. He looked at her room, and was used to these types of rooms by this time even though he didn't have any of his own. He looked around and noticed the two beds, Vincent couldn't help but snicker. He walked around in front of her as her eyes widened. "Yup, this is the good life. Looks like your lucky lass." he said referring to her as 'lucky' was interesting even to him, but he knew that despite the fact that he was an Obelisk he didn't have a chance to live here, till now that is.
"Looks like I'm lucky too." he said with a quiet smirk, "A bonnie lass with an inner spunk, this is the life!" filled with a unique mixture of seriousness and sarcasm he couldn't help but laugh as he placed her bag on top of one of the beds, not even going to explore the rest of her room seeing as there was no true point in his humble opinion. Then he heard the female's sarcastic joke he said with a quiet smile. "So you do have a sense of humor." as he lifted his head up, peering from his golden strands before he brushed them out of his face. Watching her as the sun set upon her form, his azure orbs focused on her as his smile faded to just stare at her. "A true visage of beauty." he whispered to himself, before shaking his head as he unzipped her bag for her and awaiting to see if she needed any help.
"Maybe no trouble, but you never know you may get lonely." he said returning a coy smile as he stuck a tongue out at her, before returning to looking at her luggage. She truly didn't have much, but neither did he. His decks, a winter Obelisk coat and his personal duel disk was all he had. Despite this though he just simply had his traditional blazer and pants on, no duel disk on him or any of his 'luggage' which he understood he would do very soon. Most likely while she was sleeping as not to disturb her.

Kayla had picked up on his accent earlier although she was suprised he hadn't seemed to have noticed hers. Ever since she'd arrived every second person was asking her about it... It was getting rather annoying to be honest. It was such a trivial thing... She frowned when he mentioned lucky and was about to reply with something more severe but decided against it. It wasn't his fault she was in this situation. He wasn't the one that screwed around with her brothers mind...
She just continue frowing at his comments as she got her bag down from where Vincent had left it. She let it drop to her feet and opened it. Removing her standard Battle City duel Disk, her deck holster with deck, a poster of Mai Valentine that showed her signature cards and a picture frame she seemed to gaze into for a moment before placing it on her bedside table. She ignored Vincent's attempts to help and soon enough she'd put the poster up, placed the deck, duel disk and frame all in their rightful places and was staring back at Vincent again.
Coversation was probably the best way to distract him from fantasies of a "relationship" between them and so she tried to delve into an area that actually rather intrested her about him. Only in that she didn't understand why it was so.
"So why don't you have you're own room anyway?" [/blockquote]

Vincent's ears reacted to her voice was again and a small grin slid across his face he never felt it was appropriate to ask anyone too many questions if they don't offer. He caught her accent a bit earlier from when she went to put him in his place with the bedding situation. He watched her reactions when he had spoken seeing the tiniest hints of a flinch and saw she held back something she was going to say.
Vince just sighed, continuing to grin at her. "Your Obelisk now, speak your mind lass." he simply threw in their very quickly. Vincent then saw the outcome of his statements and decided to shut up sighing quietly, "Sorry hun, I have a nasty habit of assuming things." he said just as tone of voice became a bit more serious. The grin wiped away in place of concern.
He would shake his head as if attempting to return to earth from her position in the sun, before he then glanced at the poster with a smile. There was a brief moment of silence before he took on her question, raising his head with a wide smile on his face. "Because I have no friends." he said with a faint sigh. He was definitely one to hide his emotions much more than her probably but he then sighed quietly. "You don't need to be so serious either, all of the Obelisk blues are just like that... Or snobby. One or the other." he said walking up to her Mai poster.
"And I doubt your the latter, you don't seem materialistic." he said with a faint sigh as he returned another smile to her. "Or a passive-aggressive brat, no no you have some ambition." he said looking over her things. He would immediately go to some of her blazers and other clothes that were 'appropriate to touch' and fold them for her and place them in the drawers. He tried to change the subject in a very subtle manner but he probably failed at such.
