Amy Morrison was puzzled. When she woke up that morning, she had almost died, due to slipping and falling on something, the trajectory bringing the back of her skull within inches of a very hard nightstand...the hemmorhaging could very well have been lethal had it connected. Thankfully for her it had not, but it was still a bit harrowing. Duelist Legacies OST - Preparations for a Grand BattleRight now the professor was in the library, scouring any number of things that she thought might be helpful, with her duel spirit partner reading alongside her, in case either of them would be able to uncover this mystery. "I feel like I should know what this is...but for the life of me I can't. Mia, you having any luck?" Amy sighed, putting away her wire-rimmed glasses and looking at the Maiden, who indicated she had had similar luck in finding useful information. A red jewel, and by all accounts several other students seemed to have found similar jewels. What was the connection? To What end was this all being done? And most importantly... What kind of threat would be hiding behind this game of cat and mouse?

Scarlet marble sitting atop a stack of papers as he continued researching on the computer with silent sighs. "So what do you think it is?" he said to the void of space, as he leaned in his chair reaching over to the gem while he felt its exterior with his thumb and forefinger.
'Famm caaehk ed ryc bufanc paouht dryd uv so ihtancdyhtehk E lyhhud damm. Rufajan ed ec tavehedamo uv tasuhel unekeh.' the spirit muttered to him as she began to place her hands over it, sensing its power. 'Ed ymnayto ryc mydlrat uh ouin cuim, cu ed femm nacbuht du oui dra muhkan oui gaab ed... Fryd tu oui ghuf?' the spirit inquired as she rested her hands and placed her chin on her master's shoulder.
"Well the knowledge on this is kind of slim, however from what I've researched it seems whom ever loses these trials depicted here.." he said as his finger traced across the screen to show the relevant proof and information. "Or in our case... who ever loses a duel will be stripped of the chance at the grand prize and these gems." he said while he placed his hand on his chin. Reading further as he continued to sigh quietly. "There's too many holes into what the prize is or who can be playing this game. Additionally whoever knows whats going on has a definite advantage." he muttered to the spirit as it just simply looked as if he was talking to himself as it always did.
He just continued to read and type heavily the stacked papers being all the search he had done. Despite his cold exterior he actually was truly keen and very brilliant when it came to archiving and looking up things of Dark origin. Something he had always been fascinated about ever since he touched his father's sword.

Amy looked up, having heard mutterings of...no, that couldn't have been someone speaking in Enochian, could it? She concentrated, trying to piece out short words or letters...
"ryc mydlrat uh ouin cuim"...that which was...lost? taken? she recognized the language at least; it was Pharohnic Egyptian, the spoken language of the Hieroglyphs. Looking up to see who it was, the teacher found an Obelisk student, poring over a computer screen.
Amy wanted to slap herself for being so stupid. Her spirit familiar complied. Amy winced for a second and regained her composure. Why bother reading books anymore, all the information she could ever want, and then some, was on the internet. But a student who was that familiar with that ancient language...it was certainly an oddity. Also odd was his choice of duel spirit, the Fallen Nurse Reficule.
"You look like you could use some help." Amy said warmly as she sat down at the computer next to the student. It wasn't everyday she could speak to someone and expect them to understand her...

Reficule floated behind Ki whispering in his ear, 'Muugc mega fa'na hud ymuha se ysun' as the spirit then giggled in his ear, and floated into the background away from the approaching staff member. 'Cra syo pa ypma du ramb, tuh'd clyna ran uvv Ki!' she yelled before disappearing completely. Ki slightly nodded to himself, attempting to not bring attention to Reficule.
Azure eyes shot up to the woman as his facial expression was still. His eyes traced her up and down as she sat down beside him, he just sighed softly but kept his intense composure. He then slid the stack of papers to her. "Read the second, the fifth, and the thirty-sixth pages to get the brief summary of that." he kept on a quiet note since they were in the library, but even for him to state such so calmly there was almost hundreds of pages within the stack of papers that was between them. Sitting atop was that of his red gemstone as he had obtained one as well but he didn't bother moving it for the woman he just wanted answers.
He leaned forward in his chair to type a bit before he glanced at the female's duel spirit and stroke his thoughts a bit, wondering if her spirit spoke the same language as his. He shrugged at this and continued to type before he pressed the enter button. Despite all his research it was only those pages that gave any relevant information. Everything else was history simply. He didn't even look at the female but kept staring at the screen. "Yeah, I could use help Ms. Morrison." with a very calm tone, before he was abruptly interrupted as he attempted to continue.
'Oui'na y banjand po dra fyo, Ki' as his spirit reappeared stroking his cheek laughing at him. She enjoyed to probe his mind and subconscious for all of his thoughts despite if they were true to his personality or not. Ki's facial expression slightly twitched at the consistent annoyance that he faced with Reficule but just sighed once more and awaited a response from the well known Shadow professor returning to his usual stony look.
