She frowned ever so slightly in the dark. Then she put down her sunglasses. He shouldn't have had to 'get used to it'. She should be well enough to function on her own... it frustrated her a little to have to depend so much on anyone, let alone Shizuma Matsuna. He was kind enough to do so, but she hadn't even been out to see who her savior was... Takuto was the name that she had to go off of. She folded up the glasses and her glowing eyes shot back to him.
"It was good. I never thought I'd say this but I was happy when my mother sent over the blinds that she did. It completely blocks out the light and so I just keep my room really dark. I'm glad I don't have any roommates... it'd be pretty bad for them if I did." She shook her head. "Some days I just wonder whether I should do night school... at least I'd be able to live normally during the night..." Then she frowned.
"But at the same time, the darkness is becoming too comforting."

"As I said...you'll be able to see in the light eventually again. In fact...you wanna see if you can stand a little more?" asked Shizuma curiously.
It was true he was taking care of her...but he still held regret that he wasn't the one able to save Hathor from this. Though he was surprised that the person that did save her hadn't come to see her. As he awaited Hathor's answer he looked into those eyes of hers. They were even more striking than before...but for the wrong reason.

She looked a little apprehensive at the thought of letting in a bit more light but she supposed she had to. This was a part of what they did every time they got together, which was every day. She however narrowed her eyes in dread, which could be clearly seen with how much they were glowing, and she nodded.
"Yeah, go ahead... what did you have in mind for today?" Hathor asked him.

"Just a little bit from the blinds...just a little." said Shizuma as he took hold of the turn stick and very slighty turned it so only a little bit of extra light was able to seep through.
He knew she was scared...but this was as much as he could do to help her. He wanted to help her regain her sight. Slowly but surely he knew that this was they way they were going to have to do it. Exposing her to light a little bit at a time. He just hoped that soon, she would regain her sight completely...and that she wouldn't have to walk around like a blind person anymore.

She winced as the blinds were opened and her vision started to cloud and get whiter. Now she was having trouble seeing colors. They almost seemed to be shrouded in a fog. She also was having trouble seeing the edges of things. So she just sat on the bed with her hands in her lap, not even noticing that her fingers were digging into the hem of her skirt as she settled back to her blindness. She refused to close her eyes though... she had to get through this, no matter how much it was currently aching.
"T-That's enough for now." She said and she put up her hand to both shield the light a bit and to stop him. It was less then the day before and she was a little disappointed in herself for stopping him. But she couldn't take it... her head ached, and she was trying so hard to keep bearing through it.
But she knew that to Shizuma's eyes, it wouldn't be all that bright in the room. There would only be little shafts of light bringing in some light to the room. None the less she kept her eyes on his outline and bit her lip.
"Sorry..."

"Hey don't worry about it...it's fine...we'll just take our time and get you used to it. Just like we have been up to this point." said Shizuma to Hathor as he walked back towards her now shielding her from the light with his body.
He then took a seat next to her...it was easy to see Hathor more with the extra light. He just hoped that soon her sight would return. He wanted to see her smile and the life return to her. That was one of the things he liked so much about her was that life that she had.

It would probably take several years before she could become accustomed to light again. For now, she'd function the best that she could. She fully expected to partake in the journey alone as well; Shizuma couldn't be expected to stay with her forever. She felt the seat be taken and immediately she couldn't take it anymore. She buried her head into his chest, trying desperately to get the pain to go away. She breathed methodically through her nose and her hands wrapped around his shirt.
"I'm getting so sick of this." She murmered. She was soothed however by the scent of Shizuma... the white rose scent that he always seemed to have. She had often wondered about it but had never asked really.

Shizuma simply wrapped his arms around Hathor and held her in comfort to all of this. He knew she was just so frustrated over it all. Her not being able to see in the day. He knew she was in pain...he comforted her as best as he could. He knew this was so much for her to take...again making him wish there was something he could do.
"It's okay Hathor...I know it's tough...but you can do it...I know you can..no matter how long it takes. I'll help you in anyway I can." said Shizuma as he held her.

She bit her lip with her front teeth. She hadn't had a time in her life when she wasn't as scared as she was lately. Well... there had been one, but in all honesty it had been so long ago, she barely recounted it nor wanted to talk about it. She also usually sought her comfort in physical affection, and so this phenomenon of just having a cuddle with someone she called a boyfriend was entirely new to her.
She nodded into his chest. "I know I'll get it. It'll take far longer then this though. I bet anything I won't see well again Shizuma." She said. At the end of the sentence she gulped, almost as if she didn't want to choke on her own words. Just breathe... just breathe... snap out of it Hathor.
"Hey... all I'll need is a blindfold for the summer when I go tanning huh?" Hathor said as she tried to make a joke. "No big... n-no... trouble." She faded out and away and her lip quivered a little.
