“I’m fine,” she answered solemnly, noticing that the shade had shifted while she was here, “I have to get back to work soon anyway.”
She shifted her position so she was still in the shade. Angling her body towards the tree, Ilythyia was able to find a bit of shade near the trunk of the tree so that she could still face Leon as they talked. She appreciated the offer of sharing the bit of the bench with the shade, but she figured that she wouldn’t want to intrude on his space, especially since the bench would be out in the sun soon enough.

A bit taken back by her refusal, he just shrugged and smiled. "Very well." He still wasnt looking at her, facing the park and watching all the happenings. He simply sat and watched, his mind deep in thinking before he realized she hadn't said anything either. "What do you see when you look out into the park, into other people's daily lives?" He looked up at her again, blinking as he snapped out of his reverie. "And where do you work, out of curiosity?"

“It varies by the person.”
Ilythyia was simply not one to make a snap judgment of an entire population. She couldn’t find a brush broad enough to paint the entire park-going population. It wasn’t that she lacked good sense and perception. It was more that she had too much of it. She could see one park passerby and see the successful white-collar worker that desperate hopes that someone notices him, that he’s making a difference in the world. She could see the young, up-and-comer that wants to hold on her youth. She could see the teenager who thinks he was being clever because he was skipping class. But none of them were the same, and Ilythyia could never pretend that they all seemed the same to her.
“I’m in the Industrial district,” she answered vaguely, figuring that most people would have been satisfied with the answer. Besides, she tended to get overwhelmed and unnecessary responses whenever she revealed that she was a big company CEO, “You know, boring office job… paper pushing… meetings and conferences… that kind of stuff.”

He nodded, then looked back so that his neck was tilted all the way backwards, looking at the clouds once more, then brightness of the sun piercing the edge of his vision. "It certainly does seem...boring." He watched as the clouds formed again in the wind higher up in the sky, and smiled at all the amazing shapes, and then smiled even more at how amused he was by simple things. "I'm a student at the Academy..."

“That’s nice.” It also meant that he was likely a good number of years younger than she was. Ilythyia wasn’t ageist, but she admitted there was often an experience and intellectual gap between someone like herself and someone from a duel academy. Sometimes, it was just hard to speak of things as conventionally or equally as if she were speaking to someone her own age. Still, there was a sense of interest there. She never went to a duel academy—her dance career made sure of that—but she always wondered what it would have been like. Her own introduction to dueling was remarkably late, and dueling always took a backseat to dance in her young life, but she had the talent for both, just not the time.
“I should probably be heading back to work…” She said, dusting off her suit with her hands.

"It was very nice to meet you." He smiled and held up a hand, signaling a farewell. "If you would ever like to meet again, I come to the park often. Just not under..." He pulled at the suit lightly, uncomfortably. "This guise." He just smiled and folded his arms, leaning farther back into the bench.

"Yeah, I'll see you around," she replied. Of course, whether or not they actually met again would depend entirely on their fates, as she had no idea about the boy other than the fact that his name was Leon, he went to Duel Academy, and he liked to sit around and stare at stuff in the park. Besides, Ilythyia preferred people who weren't so cryptic and—quite frankly—weird. She liked her quirks, but there was just something awkward about his social interaction that raised a few too many flags.
She spun around gracefully, before making the first steps back towards Industrial Illusions.
"Maybe I will have a more appropriate... guise... too," she gestured briefly with her foot to call attention to her designer heels, before she continued her long, arduous walk back to her workplace.

He just chuckled and watched her walk away, head craned back, almost upside down. An interesting person she seemed to be, but he just shrugged. Between his school work and his training, he really did have only rare amounts of time to come downtown like this and enjoy the scenery. After a minute of watching her walk away, he stood up and stretched again, running a hand through his strange haircut. He really needed to get his other clothes, cane, and hat. He shoved his hands in his pockets and began walking back towards the docks, to take the boat back to Academy Island.
