Shadow Realm Theme
A kick here. A kick there. A kick in the air. One quick fist into a spiral to the side. The flashes of movement were part of Leon's workout, also a sort of martial art that he had created and perfected. It looked like simple breakdancing, but he used it very well. He stopped for a second, checking his pulse. Smiling, he took the headphones out of his ears for a second and looked around.
The shadow realm. He hated this place when he first came here, but found to enjoy it. It holds an infinite number of his banished oranges, and you couldn't break anything during his workouts, and...it was quiet. So he could blare his music without interfering sounds of the city. It worked for him. After a few seconds, he put his earphones back in and began break dancing once more, adding a few punches and kicks to it as the music played in his mind. Perfect for the shadow realm, he thought.

Adal, had stumbled into the Shadow Realm, on accident or on purpose she couldn't quite figure out which. Which was funny, because that seemed to be her main reason to come here, accidental wishing to get away, often brought her here, doing family meetings she would flee as well, but that was more voluntary, she grinned as she had escaped some unknown doom, probably caused by her favorite sister Amelia somewhere, or Eric, one of the two....
She sighed lightly before finally becoming aware that someone else was there, she she held herself high again and looked to see who it was, for she had walked out of the portal backwards and had her back to the man, she instinctively put her hand down by her dagger she always carried, why? Because it was her weapon, but, would she use it? Psh, prolly not.

Another spin, a kick, a-...person. Leon immediately jumped up and faced them, staring at them, with more of a glare. The only people that would appear in that manner here, were shadow duelists. And shadow duelists, his case an exception, were almost always bad. Frowning deeply, he blinked and suddenly he was about 20 yards away from where he was, even farther away from the other person. He had no weapons on him, but he could escape quite easily.
He simply glared at her, frowning. Why did she have to appear to his little corner of the realm? As far as he knew, it was an infinite area, not that he'd done much study on it. He suddenly got a slight chill. What if she was looking for him? He shook his head. It was doubtful. But he still stayed cautious, just frowning and glaring at the other shadow duelist.

"You act like I'm going to murder you, trust me, this isn't a walk in a park for me either." She spoke snidely, and in Japanese, praying he'd understand her, or else he might think she were a terrorist, oh gawd, wouldn't that be funny. She smiled crudely, she had no intentions of hurting anyone, she was just being a bitch, she was just that cocky type of person. "Or are you going to attack me? Judging by your looks you could be thinking of either or possibilities. I swear I won't try to hurt you either, by god I promise." She set her jaw suddenly realizing what was going on, she wasn't talking cocky anymore either. She had more of a scared look on her face then anything.

Japanese. It had been years since he'd been in Japan, but it was still the first language he had learned. Sighing, he continued glaring at her, but spoke anyway. "If I was going to attack you, I would not have backed up this far." He said it simply, if crudely in Japanese, still glaring at her. "You're a shadow duelist." He stated the obvious again, still very far away.

"If you were indecisive you would have backed up, the length doesn't matter, and then you could decide to attack from there and try to kick my ass, which you probably wouldn't fail in." She blinked stupidly and totally facepalmed at mentioning that, yes, she was weak, weaker then average by far, hell a push to her chest could kill her, maybe. But she won't mention that, she really didn't feel like getting her ass kicked... or killed... anytime soon. She flicked her light blue hair out of her face. "Besides, you're here, you're probably a Shadow Duelist too... And besides Captain Obvious, how much harm do you think I could do? I work with Duel Academy's students daily, I work in a library, you honestly think I can deal much harm if I'm working there?"

Works in the school? If he was plotting, that's exactly where he would be. This only deepened his mistrust of her and he frowned deeply again. He walked slowly forward, still glaring at her. "You work in the school? That puts you at even more suspicion. You could just be biding your time until you're ready to do something."
He stopped a few yards away from her, crossing his arms. "Yeah. I'm a Shadow Duelist. What of it?"

Now her eyes narrowed as he approached her, her demeanor changing once more, back to cocky, or more bitchy, maybe she was planning something, maybe she wasn't, it really didn't matter, all she knew was the more she visited the shadows, the more crude she got, maybe she was planning something, blow up the school, blow up the world? Rule the world? Sing handily, hell no! "Right, because all smart Shadow Duelists try taking over the world single handily without an ally. That's so easy to do. How do I not know you are scheming? One so quick to judge is often being found guilty." She read that somewhere, where who knows.

"You could be lying about the ally..." He frowned. Another shadow duelist here was trouble. But then again, he existed. How did he know that she wasn't just like him, having had the power forced onto him? He unfolded his arms, studying her for a few moments before he finally spoke, his voice not as accusing as before.
"How did you become a Shadow duelist?"

Adalheidis had a terror look on her face as he wanted her to recall the memory, she pretty much froze and shivered as she had to remember how she earned, not earned, received her Shadow Powers. A memory she was found of? No, not even close, her hand instinctively went to her back to rub a scare that she also received when she got the dagger and her powers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~"Eric, there's only one way you can rid yourself of the Shadow Powers, you have to stab someone, who is close to you." Eric felt his heart drop, the only one left that was close to him was Adalheidis, his four years younger sister, could he do that? He'd have to, "But Eric, who ever you choose has to be strong willed, or else the Shadows will push them over, they will turn evil, and then, there will be Chaos."
~Eric sighed, holding the 'Shadow Dagger' in his hand, he loved Adal, could he do it to her? He'd have to, he was in too much pain, and he wasn't as strong willed as she was, maybe she would understand, understand his pain, he couldn't duel her and risk her losing, he just couldn't.
~~~ Three Days later ~~~
~~"Adal, please! You have to help me!" Eric had let the Shadows take him, he was begging and full of pain.
~~I backed away, terrified of him, this wasn't my brother, this isn't the man I loved, not love loved but brotherly loved, this isn't the person I idolized, he was gone, where was he? "Where's my Eric?! You're not my Eric!" Yes, she sounded obsessed, she was as pale as freshly fallen snow, she was scared.
~~Eric stood up, he looked insane, the Shadow Dagger tightly gripped in his right arm, in a position that she knew wasn't good. As he stood up, I tried to back away but tripped, "Come now Adalheidis, this won't hurt a bit." He was mad, crazy mad. I got on my hands and feet and tried to crawl away, but not fast enough, a scream escaped me and I blacked out, a dagger in my back... blood spilling out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Is that something we really need to talk about?" She asked quietly, yes she was paled and her scar burned again, as a reminder of how she got it, who she achieved it from.

"Then how can I trust you?"
He frowned and folded his arms again. "Mine was handed down. That doesn't make me a pure shadow duelist. " He tilted his head slightly. "But what does that make you?" He began to circle her slowly. He didn't trust her, not one bit. "What's your name?"

"What does that make me? It makes me an unwilling Shadow Duelist who got forced into being a shadow duelist after getting stabbed with the shadow item I have....." She growled, he was annoying, his was passed down, she to stabbed in the back... "Do you know how painful it is waking up after blacking out with a dagger in you're back? Try very!" She was losing patience but she wasn't going to do anything about it. She was ready to leave honestly. And she still had the scar and the shadow item. "Now I wish you would stop harassing me!" She evaded telling him her name, once more rubbing the scar on her back wincing as it burned, honestly she was as white as freshly fallen snow and she was getting light headed from lack of blood to her brain. But she would live, maybe. Maybe she'd die and wouldn't have to worry about the fool circling her like she was prey.

He growled and walked around again, now starting to get pissed. "I like how you evade every single one of my questions. You're the most suspicious person I've ever met." He sighed and shook his head, frowning again. "You're giving me a headache."
Maybe he just needed to stop asking questions. Was it possible to be another shadow duelist like him? Possibly. "My names Leon." That was all he was planning on giving her at the moment.

She slapped her forehead, had she not just told him how she received her shadow powers? Her brother stabbed her and somehow due to the way the magic was embedded into the dagger she took her brothers powers, was it what she wanted? Hello no!
"I do believe I am just delaying answering you questions instead of evading them. For I have told you how I earned my title. The way my shadow magic gets passed on is with stabbing the person you're passing them on to with the shadow item, and I explained that I was stabbed with the shadow item. So that is how I became a shadow duelist"
If she could pale even more she would've she hated that memory, her brother gone insane, paranoid, not himself. She held the Shadow Item longer then he had and she has yet to feel the pain, except for the not so pretty scar on her back.
"But since you stated who you were, I will tell you who I am, I am Adalheidis Lideadha."
She took a low bow, mainly because she was scared of him and because it was respectful, whether in Japan or not, and it was her habit, always bow when introducing yourself, it was a custom. It was how she was raised, it was who she was.

He rolled his eyes and started speaking again, but then shook his head. He put a hand to his head and groaned. After a few minutes, he sighed and looked back up. There was nothing he could do about it, either she was lying, or she wasn't a full-fledged shadow user. Either way, there was nothing he could do about it. But all the Japanese was giving him a headache.
"Can we switch to English please?" He said this in English, crossing his arms. "And maybe we should take this conversation somewhere a little more pleasant..."
